I think a single good shader mod would fix most problems. The game reminds me of Sonic 4 and how overly "clean" things look. Still, some areas have some work put into them but most of the game looks bad.

The crafting aspects are new in bloodstained, but I think there were an upgrade system in the last DS game. The RPG mechanics has always just been artificial barriers and useless fluff in the older games though. At best you could exploit a handful of enemies weaknesses and either instantly kill them or make them take massive damage+stun them.

Support for U3 ended, and if you want to make a GOOD U3 game, you have to basically re-write so much of it. So yes, you can "do anything" in it, and have great looking games, but it's not easy.

She seems to heal for 50% HP with Fairy Medicine and 100% with Fairy Elixir.

Supposedly UE4 has some really good Jap translated documentation which is why they're obsessed with the engine. I also think a majority of them think the engine is easy mode in making their games look good. Too bad it's bloated garbage.
