The Poppi QT Pi quest doesn't really have any hard fights, but since you rushed through the story like that you're probably not going to have many field skills at the levels the quest needs. So it's probably not going to be difficult, but you'll have to grind for that shit.
Other worthwhile quests are the quests of your favorite rare blades, the quests to unlock Vess and Praxis/Theory, the Brionac questline started by completing We Meet Again in Mor Ardain, The Titan Scholar.quest that opens up the Dragon's Stomach in Uraya, and the DLC quests (if you have it).

2 is generally much goofier than the first game and lays the cliches on pretty thick. It also takes a lot longer to get going than XB1 did, both in gameplay and in story.
If you're apprehensive about that kind of stuff, it might be best to stay away, or at least do your research before jumping in. It's a good game, but it's got issues.

This was more than alluded to in Xenoblade, with Alvis openly admitting to being a computer/aegis and this plotline is mostly just tying that up so that maybe they can merge both worlds, or something like that.
