What you playin today??
Comfy Switch Thread
Other urls found in this thread:
Travis Strikes Again. I picked it up on sale for 20 bucks.
The Aus/NZ sale that started tody, any games worth getting from that list?
Fire Emblem Warriors has dropped down to like $20 everywhere. Should I get it?
Is pic related worth it??
Nitro cart
Sound has been kind of fuzzy in handheld for awhile now and the speakers finally just died entirely today. Guess I'll be sending it in.
Hope you enjoy TSA user, I really hope we get 1 and 2 alongside the release of 3
Nothing. Every time I decide to buy a switch nintendo proves it's a bad idea. Latest retardation being the lack of a way to backup your animal crossing save.
Probably gonna play some more Hollow Knight later today.
Really? Even on EU eShop? I didn't see it, might give it another look.
Also... Do you guys know why way Red Siren: Space Defense pulled from EU eShop? The game came out recently with a price of 9,99 eurobucks, but now it's not available. Mine says 'not available for purchase' as it is on my watch list, and my friend can't even find it when using search option.
Getting back into Smash, it's hard. Dropped 2 mil GSP yesterday but fuck it, won't get better if I don't play.
Where the fuck did you get it for that cheap? It's still at full price everywhere I look.
I'm not sure what I think about it. At times I enjoy it, and others I regret buying it. The second and third levels were a struggle to get through.
>Really? Even on EU eShop?
Sorry, I meant physical copies online in Burgerland.
Just don't get frustrated. I was below 50k at one point.
Yeah, I thought the third level was okay (definitely feels a lot longer than it is) but that second level is atrocious (especially in handheld) I thought Doppelganger was a good boss though
CIA was a fucking slog to finish though imo and a bit of a letdown for the final level
I'm onto Trials of Mana after beating the other two games. Currently trying to get to Lumina.
Celeste. Picked it up while it was on sale, and so far so good. I'm getting all the strawberries along the way, and it's been pretty fun finding them.
I don't think I'm going to 100% it before SMM2 though.
You most likely won't because the free DLC is adding 100 more levels.
just got my physical copies of Diablo III (it was on sale) and Worldend Syndrome. Those alongside MM2 will keep me busy until Astral Chain releases. Now waiting for amazon to fucking list Collection of Mana in my country so I can pre-order it.
Hollow Knight
There's too much stuff for me to get this year.
>Mario Maker
>Fire Emblem
>Dragon Quest
>Spyro
>Luigi's Mansion
>FF8
>FFX
Damn it Nintendo my wallet is suffering
I'm so happy with how Luigi's Mansion is turning out. A huge improvement over the original reveal.
It really does look really fun. Now if polterpup could follow luigi around it'd be even better youtube.com
I bought child of light and it's okay, feels like I'm underpowered at every stage of the game and I refuse to go to normal mode because I'm pretty sure it'll be easy mode. I also bought Unravel Two to play with my brother on the weekends. Thinking of playing MHGU but MHW has burnt me out on it. I just want RF4/5 to be released
Hollow Knight. Might finally buy BOTW as well, we'll see.
just beat katana zero. had fun but i didnt bother getting all the keys in the end. i wanted to move onto valhalla, which is making me feel autistic. i follow the ingredients and i always get it wrong and half the time i forget what i changed to make the drink work. also i accidentally hit throw away because i try to rush myself and accidentally throw out the good drinks. please dont tell me this gets preachy like read only memories did.
I picked up quite a few titles so idk what to play next, but I just finished katamari and that was just great fun. Hope we get the others rereleased as well.
Taking a break from vidya sessions, otherwise I'd get back into sonic mania or CSH. How's the mania dlc?
What games did you pick up?
Nothing, just preordered Demon X Machina and Astral Chain, waiting for the switch mini to get announced before getting one
MHGU, cuphead, splatoon, hollow knight, and celeste.
I want to buy Legacy of the Duelist since it's already in English in Japland but I don't have enough money since I bought Hollow Knight and Necrodancer.
I just got Hollow Knight too and it's great, I can definitely recommend you to play it next. Can't really comment on any of the other games though.
play Cuphead first
Aight think I will then, thanks my dude
for me, it is breath of the wild
DKC: Tropical Freeze
It's fantastic, one of the best 2d platformers I've ever played.
Still playing through Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition. I'm about 30 hours in now, having a blast. I love playing as Patty now that she's finally really in the party.
Yeah, it's pretty fun. Not as good as Hyrule Warriors, but if you want a musou to play, you could certainly do worse.
I'd recommend Hyrule Warriors first if you don't have that already though.
MHGU and splatoon's online communities are basically evergreen, so you can play it leisurely
hollow knight is a great 50+ h experience, should do it 1st
i dunno about celeste
So ...... when can we expect a mini annoucement?
Dark Souls and Mario Kart as usual. Thinking of getting Xenoverse 2.
Oh shit, when's that hit? I really liked Celeste, so more of it sounds great.
>le comfy meme
fuck off back to r€ddit with your meaningless buzzword retard
Definitely not because it's short, linear and it's free on mobile. Wait for a major sale.
It’s ok if you dig some mobile games on switch. It’s hard as fuck.
I've been playing Katana Zero, I really really like it!
How does Dark Souls feel on Switch? I could get it for either PS4 or Switch, but the "enhancements" of the PS4 version turn me off, even if the better framerate draws me in.
I started FFVII last night for the first time.
I can see why it was so praised for it's art direction. Even now I'm in awe of the backgrounds
Playing FFVII: the king
I'm gonna complete at least another world of Crash Nitro later on.
it's ugly as shit
I finished the main quest of Hollow Knight months ago.
Today I'm playing until I beat the 3rd pantheon in Godmaster.
Is this ironic?
It’s so good
I'm waiting for New Switch.
Really enjoying Tangledeep, wanting something more traditionally roguelike after plowing through Cadence of Hyrule
I finished Diablo 3 this morning. I thought I might like it more than I did last time I played it, but I don't feel much. Is the adventure mode any good?
I'm gonna start a new file on Odyssey, I missed a lot of stuff on my first playthrough.
Playing the waiting game for any videos showing the improved FPS on Daemon X Machina.
Working on my Splatoon skills and practicing my Brella for the last Splatfest.
Anyone get Muse Dash? I'm listening through the OST thinking about buying it.
It feels fantastic, even if the framerate seems to be 30fps. Online is nowhere near as packed as PDTE was, but it still has a lot of people playing. I actually bought a Switch for it because my computer is a fucking toaster.
why don't you just pick up on that same file
I've decided to start getting into RPGs seriously. I've already planning on getting Collection of Mana and maybe the Trials remake as well as DQXIS when it comes out. Any other recs?
I'm serious
I just heard about Final Spletfest. Please tell me I didn't buy Splatoon 2 just as it was about to be finished?
Tales of Vesperia, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Final Fantasy X/X-2
you're a goddamn fucking faggot, I will fuck you in the ass without lube and make your father watch, fuck you
Probably nothing. I got over 500 moons in Mario Odyssey and beat darker side, so I'm done with that.
The only other game I have right now is Cuphead, and while I don't mind difficulty, it's not a very comfy game so I haven't really played it recently.
Looking forward to Pokemon and Animal Crossing though.
Lost Sphear, Octopath Traveler, Valkyria Chronicles 4, and Disgaea 5 all have demos on the eShop. Probably even more RPGs but those are the ones I remember off the top of my head. I personally liked Octopath and Disgaea but just give them a try first.
Been playing cadence of hyrule cause iit's great and the music is addictive as almighty fuck. In addition i'm in the SMM2 waiting room for when that shit comes out and by hell if I don't day one have a seriously God awful bullshit level in involving snakes autoscrolling and boos.
Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition
Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Shining Resonance Refrain (not that great honestly but I really enjoyed it as a popcorn kind of game)
Octopath Traveler
Fairy Fencer F: Advent Dark Force (not great but fun for what it is)
I'm probably forgetting some, but those are all ones I've played and enjoyed
That seems a little extreme, don't you think?
Because I kinda rushed the first play through and I want to go through it again at a slower pace.
Splatfests are glorified Turf Wars. They're even adding the option to play the Splatfest stages/change the setting to night with your friends.
Just bought Breath of the Wild for $35, been playing it since Sunday, it's a great game, haven't been attached to a game since I was a teenager.
Honestly I just want the splat feat main plaza, pearl and marina doing songs while your fucking around in the main area is just too good.
Finished Axiom Verge the other day and absolutely loved it. One of the best games I've played recently.
Now on to Mario Odyssey and really enjoying it too. My fist collectathon platformer - it's so nice not to be pressured by a timer and just finding shit leisurely is fun as hell
I don't think it's enough, he should bring a friend to assist him and hold a camera for all to see.
edgy
Playing this right now. It's pretty cool, feels a bit "meatier" than regular Mario Kart
Shouldn't have waited two years.
>tfw hype as fuck for BOTW2 cause there's a fuckton of TP styled stuff in the trailer but it's not ugly as sin and it's more open world.
Isn't it getting a bit late in Australia? You should go to sleep.
Before diving into some of the jRPGs, beware
>XC2: can be really off-putting early on, esp for people who arent really a fan of corny jRPGs. It get really great later on tho
>Octopath traveler: if you are looking for a huge, overarching storyline, no this game doesnt give you it. The mini storylines and NPCs' quests are stellar instead, and its a delight for world building fags. The soundtrack is really great too
>VC1 and 4: fun wargame, weird fanservice. If you can weather it, great.
DQXIS, YsVIII and Vesperia are all acclaimed games, so no warning needed, i guess
Who said shit on waiting, I just want the ability too change it too that mode when I want cause it's always great.
i'm playing resident evil 4 ( yes i bought the switch version i know you all are gonna laugh at me for paying 30 bucks for it ) so far iv'e gotten used to control set 2 iv'e been having fun playing it.
I JUST WANT A SWITCH MINI
My right joy con desyncs often and the A button doesn’t work well, is it just broken and I need a new one?
Where did you find it for $35?
We've said a million times, there is no reason for them to make a new model right now
>having small hands
He must have miniscule hands.
Played gungeon. Killed the hunters past and the marines past, highly considering convict or pilot, i know pilot is harder
Those two things sound unrelated, but update it and recalibrate, there’s always a chance the easiest fix will work
Will any of these series get new games for Switch?
> Chibi-Robo
> F-Zero
> Pikmin
> Starfy
> Advance Wars
> Custom Robo
> Dillon's Rolling Western
> Golden Sun
> Wario Land
> Sin & Punishment
If not, Switch is going to be one of the worst consoles of all time, literally no excuses Nintendo, make at least one of these get a Switch game.
>Muse Dash
>a cent cheaper than the Steam version
I mean, I get that it has all the DLC but it still seems overpriced for what it is
reeee I just wanna play bloodstained
I really don't see the appeal of Dillon. The last game was just less shitty than its predecessors.
One you finish your backlog right here you can get your hands on Octopath Traveller. It peaks on the middle (And is consistently good throughout it) but the beginning may be kinda boring depending on the traveller you pick to start and the ending is rushed af (although the individual endings to each story are nice, except for Alfyn's)
By the time you finish Fire Emblem Three Houses will probably be out and it is essentialy a must-play. FE is shaping to be the most popular Nintendo Franchises since the 3DS saved it, and this game looks EXTREMELY promissing. It's a SRPG so if you don't like this subgenere you might want to forget it or play it on an easier difficulty, but it's gonna dominate a lot of the JRPG discussion here on Yea Forums
Then we've XC2. I Loved it to death but i must warn you of 2 things
- The beginning is absolute ass, both story and gameplay wise, you might want to watch some YT videos to see if you like the story and characters.
-The combat has a ton of nuances, and these nuances imply there is a LOT of micromaneaging before combat, you REALLY will want to look about it on the internet so you don't get lost.
Aside from that. Gatcha system is trash, graphics are kinda bad (but serviceable) in handheld mode and English dub is wonky sometimes. And the rest is absolute kino.
Hollow knight, bought it for like 4 in the mexican eshop, i'm loving it.
>Chibi-Robo
Dead. Thanks Tanabe.
>F-Zero
Not coming back any time soon. Thank overall low sales, even for GX.
>Pikmin
4's coming. Eventually.
>Starfy
Dead.
>Advance Wars
Never happening unless IntSys abandons Fire Emblem.
>Custom Robo
Dead.
>Golden Sun
Last entry was shit. Camelot has become incompetent.
>Wario Land
Not happening as long as Ware still makes easy money.
>Sin & Punishment
A Kid Icarus Uprising sequel or another shitty Star Fox rehash are more likely.
Started up Cadence of Hyrule yesterday, it is fun and the music is phenomenal. I'm pretty bad at it so far, though.
The levels are randomized, right? I got to Kakariko to find all of the villagers are brown. The Great Fairy is, too. I figured "yep, it's a western game alright" but then realized it might have been RNG.
I have faith Pikmin 4 is still coming.
Dead cells, boss cell 1, getting my ass handly kicked. Was going to play bloodstained but found out its in 30 fps, so i pirated it instead
>Thinking of getting Xenoverse 2
please do! as long as you dont mind cliche anime
Most of the game is randomized (enemy placement, grottos, etc.) though certain locations are always in the same spot.
Noice. I have over 70 hours in that game lol.
I would be playing BotW - since it's been a while I've dug back into Master Mode, and honestly that mode goes a long way towards improving the balance of the basic game.
But I'm not atm because I'm logged into the estore, and I can't be bothered logging back out again. I'm planning on staying there until I have enough information to make a purchase and put my current cash of Gold Points to use. Currently I'm thinking about getting this game, but I'm looking for feedback on whether it's good or not.
Enjoy it man, it's a great little game that's got me dead set for NMH 3. Seen that Yahtzee interview with Suda?
I'm latino and grew up with DBZ, should be fine
the overworld is randomized every new playthrough, so yeah
did you grab the OG one on sale too? pretty dang fun, and much harder than Hyrule
Confirming/cancelling in menus takes getting used to and you can't remap them for some stupid reason. Also the audio is awful quality, really tiny. Aside from that and locked 30, it's okay.
psp emulator
>spyro
Is reignited coming to switch? I've been holding out to buy it
Finally got enough good goy rewards points on my credit card to order BotW for free. I already played it on Wii U, but I've been wanting to play it again from scratch.
Thinking about grabbing CTR after clocking 300+ in MK8D
any anons here have play this? how was it?
Saw a listing on eBay for a new/sealed Switch at $255 with the condition that it would take up to 30 days to ship. It sounds suspicious as fuck to me, but am I just being paranoid?
Confirmed during E3, yes
>Is reignited coming to switch?
did you miss the direct?
sep 3 baby
Currently working my way through S2
Hope someone helps you out with that. I saw the threads you made but I've never played that game, so I can't really help.
For those of you who missed the sale and want to get this, Amazon and Walmart still have digital codes for $13.39
Facebook marketplace, I found a good deal. Basically it was your typical vydia ignorant dad who bought the game for his little kiddo who preferred Fortnite and didn't know the real value of BotW so he decided to sell it.
thats literally the most common scamming "backstory" lol
its either stolen, or broken. you decide
Or maybe they just wanted to get rid of the game and Facebook was easier than heading to GameStop
Oh well, at least SOMEONE saw those. Seems that only the sequel gets any discussion around here, which is not necessarily of use for buying decisions. I just want a nice cheap game to put those Gold Points to use before they expire (not a rush atm since I acquired them a few days ago) and this is the only title in the price range that isn't outright "Puppies 4 Kids!" or "Dartsmaster 2017" tier terrible looking.
maybe if they hybridised those titles to make "Puppies Play Darts", I might buy that
I'm a mexican, We don't have Gamestop here.
It's a real story lol, that's the same way I bought Splatoon 2. But since it's Mexico, I had to taste the game cards to know if they were legit or false. You never know in this country.
>I had to taste the game cards to know if they were legit or false
They could have laced it with something.
How's the framerate on DD:DA on switch?
I tried to get into it on PC but it just didn't do it for me.
I feel like I could enjoy it more on a portable console, but I'm worried it runs too badly. I imagine it doesn't get much more than 30fps, but does it still run smoothly? BotW looks great in 30fps, but MHGU looks like trash in 30fps.
can't you bring your switch and boot the game real quick
I'm finally getting through Odyssey. Got the Switch for Smash and been mostly playing that until now.
Odyssey is really fun though, already finished the story and now trying to get all moons.
I wish I had some friends to compete with for the best Koopa Freerunning times, but of the few friends I have on my list, almost none of them set any times,,,
Very minor dips in handheld mode when shit gets crazy, more pop in. Aside from that, it runs fine. Looks good, quick load times.
>Chibi-Robo
Probably not. None of the games met with much critical or financial success, and they made like 4 of them.
>F-Zero
Probably not, sadly, even though all I really want is GX-HD.
>Pikmin
Likely, since it's always been a critical darling even if sales weren't great. Maybe they'll put 3 on Switch to see what reception is like first.
>Starfy
Nah, dead series.
>Advance Wars
Dead series, just get Wargroove
>Custom Robo
Dead series, can't say I miss it either. Never felt great to play imo
>Dillon
I don't know why they left his games to languish in obscurity on the eShop. Maybe we can hope for a new eShop title.
>Golden Sun
Unlikely. Also I don't know when you last replayed the GBA ones but man they're rough. I think it's best to let good memories be good memories.
>Wario Land
I'll kill a man for a Wario Land VB remake using Labo VR.
>Sin & Punishment
At least we're getting Panzer Dragoon.
But what I want most is a new Pilotwings.
Picross s
Some of the seasons are fun, but other than that all the "replayability" comes from the randomized dungeons (can't remember what they're called right now) but even those get stale. here's hoping that blizzcuck ports over d1 and d2
Thinking of old PC ports, I can't wait to play Icewind Dale handheld.
>Sees leaked images of the switch mini
"Oh, boy! I really wanna get one, I think this'll be the perfect switch for me!"
>Remembers that Nintendo Switch Online is still a thing and is required for all the games I actually wanna play
It's probably not real, so don't worry too much.
The $20 for Switch online is pretty easy to swallow considering the NES games that are on there now. Then again, personally, Double Dragon 2 and Adventure of Lolo make it more than worth it for me.
I obtained the first arc of Higurashi for free on Steam, and finally got around to reading it in Japanese. I saw that a new version was available on Switch (Hou/奉), so I downloaded that to read the remaining arcs. But unless I'm mistaken, you can't skip straight to a later arc if you haven't completed an earlier one. So I guess I have to leave the game on auto for a couple hours in order to catch up to where I left off... If anyone knows a better method, please share.
Any good, imported games?
