You sure it's because of that? At least i though Colors was dogshit because of the terrible and slow stage designs and the abundance of automated segments. And the funy thing is Forces went full force on those problems.

I though Heroes was pretty fun when I played it, had it on the GC. It used the switching mechanic often and there was enough for it seem to stay somewhat fresh. I thought it was pretty good for a spin-off. Before then the only spin-off I’d played was Sonic Spinball on the MegaDrive.
