I had forgotten about the game honestly, but it looks like a lot of fun

The Hotline Miami comparison isn't an entirely honest one, the only things they really have in common is the whole psychedelic presentation and killing people. For one, in this game you have an actual health bar. This is more "Max Payne x Tony Hawk" than it is Katana Zero as well. Katana is more of a methodical action game, but Pedro is all about having to style your way through your kills. You basically do backflips, jump on skateboards/rolling barrels, hop on ziplines, kick body parts back on enemies, etc. Although just like Katana Zero there is a slow motion feature. It seems to be a little more physics driven with how much body contortion you're able to do, multidirectional dual wielding, reflecting bullets off of thrown household objects, etc.

Basically don't just kill people, look cool while doing it and get rewarded for it.

I was looking forward to it when it was just the two webms that were being posted over and over again, but it took so long to come out that interest has petered out. At least it's finally launching today.

Most of the control is in how you aim based on what I've seen and heard. You aim with the right stick, lock one arm with a shoulder button, and then usr the stick to aim the other. I have to assume that shoot, the bullet time, and jump are other triggers but I haven't played it.

I played Butcher (previous game from Carrion dev), and it was 2-3 hours long (albeit fun), so I don't have huge hopes for Carrion.

Not having known anything about Carrion before seeing the trailer at E3, I knew there just had to be some connection to Butcher. Nice to know they're still finding work, but yeah, length is the one thing that I would hope they might have improved.

I mean, it kind of is, it is exactly what it looks like: Deadpool meets 2D sidescroller Max Payne. But I'll just say that there seems to be a high skill ceiling for the stylish play and combos since my scores on every level so far have been surprisingly low despite playing well. It is a lot of fun so far though imo. It's an easy recommendation, if you think it looks fun, you'll like it.

If you want to learn babbys first encryption and you have an afternoon, you can google the shift and vignette cipher and have some fun with them in maplesoft by attempting to crack them. It's a LOT simpler than you would thing (letter frequency analysis for shift)
