At first I feared for the worst when I saw the couple things they "censored" from the original, but I don't know how anyone can legitimately complain about the trophy girls being added as playable characters. Their boobs are bigger than anyone else in the game (Not hard to beat) and they even fucking jiggle to the kart movements. If this is a "muh female empowerment" thing, then they did it right.

At least add a "Extreme" difficulty option, and then make "Hard" something reasonable.

And yeah, this. I think the AI does use shortcuts occasionally, but not enough to warrant the leads I see the Hard AI achieve. You can literally boost out of the starting line and you'll instantly be in last place behind the people that DIDN'T boost at the starting line, it's that bad.

My copy just arrived today, and let me tell you, muscle memory does not carry over. I used to be pretty good at the original, but in this one I can barely avoid slamming into walls. Video related is me in the original.

Low turn characters like Dingodile feel really worthless now. The remake has a ton of turn delay on them that didn't exist in the original. I thought it was terrible input lag at first, but acceleration characters feel fine (or at least much better). In the original there was basically no delay on turning (you started turning at your maximum turn rate immediately), but in this remake there's a delay before you reach your maximum turn rate. Very noticeable on low turn characters.

Froggying is less effective now, because jumping has more delay too.

If you hit into walls that don't completely stop you, you can lose your reserves. In the original hitting walls only cost you your reserves if you did the slam-into-a-wall animation where your back wheels come off the ground.

I used to be able to get all the shortcuts on Blizzard Bluff with 95% success rate. Now I can't even make the bridge shortcut. Feels like the window for a successful jump is much tighter, in the original there was lots of leeway "after" the edge where you could still jump and make it. This applies to all jumps.

I'm not saying it's a bad game, just that the driving mechanics aren't 1:1 the same as the original. They still feel extremely high skillcap, but if you were hoping to start at that skillcap because you were good at the original, you'll be disappointed.

And that's a good thing. Unironically. It definitely does have some new quirks and differences from the original, but I came in expecting that. Overall I think it's a very impressive rendition, and the CNK tracks being overhauled alongside the originals was an awesome surprise to top it off. Just gotta git gud all over again.

Oh, and to add to my previous point directed at , if people want something to complain about, they should be complaining about the always-online coins and shop system. Imagine me playing the Switch version and realizing I can't unlock anything when I'm out and about. That's just absurdity.

I agree, to a degree. Low turn characters just feel really bad. I don't think they're going to be the kings of time trials (and everything else for that matter) anymore. Acceleration characters feel so much better. Of course it's entirely possible it's just a matter of getting used to and my reaction is just kneejerk, but the feeling of input lag on them does feel off-putting.

Not really sure yet. Been grinding a couple of tracks over and over again in time trial trying to get to grips with the new control feel. I like it, but whether I'll like it more than the original remains to be seen. It would have been kind of boring to just boot this up and immediately be just as good as I was on the original.

That's an acceleration character, isn't it? He loses his fire a lot too. That's about the same as I'm playing right now. It's not bad play, but it just FEELS bad after getting used to going sanicfast and taking the tightest lines all the time in the original.

No, he's right. It ends whatever fire you have but your reserves are still there, and still decreasing over time. After hitting a wall (without the slam animation) you can go into a powerslide and see your fire won't disappear after each boost.

I started the game with acceleration characters, and after beating Adventure mode (On medium, literally fuck hard mode as I mentioned here ) it's hard to notice a huge difference between the character classes. The differences are there, it's not not noticeable enough to make me stick to one class, which I also think is a great thing.

I am not someone who liked Time Trials in the original game, though. Just the races. Picture my experience at the level of "I know the mechanics of the original game, and could beat adventure mode".

I'll have to confirm this myself later tonight. I've been playing these last two weeks on emulator so I have perfect muscle memory right now. I had a feeling there would be a change in feel but I hope it's not as bad as you say. Dingo is my main. Also, keep in mind some illegal skips have been fixed so don't feel too bad about not being able to land a few.

I kept practicing and I think I'm mostly over the turning differences now. Still can't nail this shortcut every time, but here's my best attempt. Feels pretty good now. Sorry about the weird colours, my PS4 was in HDR mode.

The only qualm I have with CTR Nitro Fueled about the trophy girls is that it's deviating from the original game. I think that's the sentiment here and not the "video game tiddies" you're shitposting about. The Sewer Speedway shortcut is pretty hard to hit for me now too, but you don't even need a boost to reach it anymore if you can time it right. I've had a lot of weird physics glitches and stuff as well while playing, stuff that certainly wasn't in the original. I won't be playing online, but it's gonna be crazy to see the higher-end races when the game finally comes out and people get some practice in.

Yeah, this and not being able to disable unlockables on CPU players is just sickening. The only gripe I have with the game.

The singleplayer coin rewards are pretty shit but it speeds up online but it could be better. You'll get like 10-30 coins for normal races and online you get 100-400 based on performance. I heard you have to switch characters too to optimize your coin rewards because they decrease.

Here's an example of how it works. In fact this is one of the more extreme cases that I would classify as a bug. I'm sliding along the pipe in a way that would definitely work in the original, and suddenly hit some snag in the geometry that instantly drains all my reserves. youtube.com/watch?v=zdUOaZmnN7g

This kind of stuff happens if the rear of your kart skims ANY surface. In the original it would just slow you down and not steal your reserves immediately. It can also happen if you hit the roof: I often hit the pipe on the left side of the track right before the shortcut entrance and that eats your reserves too.

The physics on the pipe walls are really bad, they constantly do this shit to you. Feels like the only safe route is driving at the bottom. Trying to beat Oxide's time, and between the shortcut entrance being harder than in the original (the angle you enter it is REALLY tight now, you have to be exactly head on. Plus having too much speed makes the time window tight too) and the pipe walls I'm having a lot of trouble.

Takes fucking forever to unlock Pit Stop characters. You only get 20-40 coins per offline race, and characters cost like 1500 coins each. Online races get you like 200-400 per race. And Pit Stop is rotational, so you most likely have to wait a few days until the character you want is in Daily Deals.

Here's another example of reserves getting depleted. Collide with the roof anywhere and they're instantly gone. In the original the roof didn't slow you down like this.

I've never been a crash fan but I'm big into kart racers and this looks super fun. Half the cast looks absolutely hideous though. As bland as MK8's roster they're at least visually inoffensive.

Switch cartridge loading times are ass. Fastest loading times on Switch are when you have the digital game installed to the system memory.

It's like 90% accurate. It has some bugs and the track geometry is a little different in some places. The driving feel is pretty close, there's some slight differences in jumping (feels like there's more delay between jumps now or something) and turning, but you get used to those quick.

How are physical chads getting it early ?it doesn't come out till Friday

It got into the hands of your average player or someone like me who'se spent nearly 20 years playing the original. It's not 1:1. That's not to say it's bad it just not a perfect copy, they have taken some liberties in remaking it.

I'm still on the fence about it but I am leaning to the original still being better. I will play it some more tomorrow after work before giving a verdict but here's some quick notes
>map geometry varies extremely, no more sliding up the side of the walls in sewer speedway for example
>ice affects sliding much more dramatically, depending on your entrance angle to ice you can end up going sidewards
>attaining and keeping top speed (usf not included) is far more trickier, reserve system doesn't seem as lenient as the original
>jumping is fine but there is also a lot more movement while falling which has thrown me into walls a couple of times
>crashing into walls kill speed even more dramatically than the original
>hard ai is hard but only because they go faster, and have access to rubber band items like clock/warp sphere

I mean all things considered, the only gripe I can really voice with the game is some of the vehicle levels are bad, the boss fights are mostly boring, the gba screen was too small for the camera to be acceptable, and it was really just more of the same.
All that said I did really just want more crash 2/3 goodness so it delivered there. I'm half expecting VV to remaster woc and the 2 gba games as level DLC for nsane trilogy but so much time has passed that they're probably doing something new entirely

Physical is no worse than digital. PS4 and Xbox both rip the entire game off the disc onto the hard drive to actually play and only use the disc as a key. On switch, they may be different, but the switch also uses flash memory and not discs.

I don't think this is a case of "female empowerment" or companies caving into pressure from feminists, I think they just really wanted to fill out the roaster because it's kinda expected these days especially in kart racers to have a big roster, and having them present trophies wouldn't make sense if they also could race, you could argue that they could just be removed from the cutscenes when they're in the race themselves but I think beenox saw it as an opportunity to get custom with the victory animations too since it's clear they were trying to put in lots of different customisation options in an attempt to modernize.

I'm usually pretty on board with these disagreements on removing any sexyness from video games, but I just don't think it's present here.
Honestly I think giving them the stupidly bouncy tits they used to have and the big anime eyes would have looked kinda weird in a highly detailed graphic style, they just removed the anime characteristics from them desu.
They just varied up the body types to make them more visually distinct too, the ones who have large breasts still have natural bounce to them.

I don't hate the N.Sane Trilogy but the idea of a remake is to faithfully remake something while also improving it, dude. It didn't help when they refused to change things at people's request because they wanted the game to be made their way. You know why so many people praise Sonic Mania and its engine? Because it's pretty much one to one with the genesis games while also being simultaneously better. N.Sane Trilogy has a number of snags that are very hard to ignore. The fact of the matter is, they didn't put forth their best when remaking such an iconic trilogy of games kinda calls for that. It's a fine game, but it could have been better too.

Sure, but I still greatly appreciate NST and I still think it's the definitive way to play the games.
IMO the added time trials to 1 and 2, changing up Crash 1, Stormy Ascent, Future Tense, and the better voice acting and mostly better music is what makes it better, and those more than make up for the slightly changed jumps and pillbox.
NST is way more faithful than you give it credit for, and it's clear VV truly wanted to make a great remake. Pretty much every character is faithful to their NST designs, the cutscenes are amazingly done, and there's tons more personality added to existing characters without ruining their personalities from the original games.

The console(hardware) can be set for primary for a given account. An account can have a few consoles as primary, but a given console can have many accounts as it's primary console. A console being primary for a given account means everything from that account is shared to other users.
If you buy a game with your main, and set the console as primary, all the other accounts loged into the console will be able to play it. The same applies to ps+.

No, it's the system Sony implemented to "share" digital games. It works like that because the ps+ games are "yours" so you need to be able to share them, but other accounts also need plus to use the shared game, so the ps+ is also shared to accomplish this.

This was made this way so you can go to a friend's house, log in, download your games and play with your account or that of your friend. Then when you go back to your home your friend can keep playing your games with his own account.
