Too many are pvp only, which is boring and just an exercise in frustration.
Too many sociopaths who just want to defeat someone else and/or cause them anguish, and not enough people who just like the game and being with other people online.
PvP could bring out the best of players, but more often it brings out the worst- just like the internet in general.
Therefore every public online game is destined to be a cesspool, no exceptions.
