Because the worthless podiatrist caused it in the first place. Wanted an ingrown nail removed because it was causing me pain, so they removed it but not nearly enough, the nail still rested on the wound site so it wasn't able to heal properly, it's just perpetually scabbed over now almost a year later, nothing at all like the first one I had done. This guy was local and really highly rated and that's why I went to him, having your toe cut up fucking hurts and so does the slow as molasses healing process. It's not infected as far as I can tell and it doesn't hurt at all most days, this scab just won't fucking go away and if I pick it off it bleeds and starts all over again. It probably would get infected if I went swimming is my main concern.

Yeah I did a landscaping job once a year ago and since then I've had to fight my doctor to get a culture done or dermatologist referral because all they'll do is look at it, pick a minor skin disease out of a hat then give you one of the aforementioned creams then imply you aren't using it/using it enough if it doesn't work or makes it worse
What started as an itch in my armpit has now developed into a full blown rash from my armpit down to the tops of my feet and toes and no matter how much I insist it isn't dermatitis or ezcema I get told to shower more even when I take two lukewarm showers a day, to use a moisturizer when I'm using a nonscented hypoallergenic soap and bodywash as well as a moisturizing lotion afterwards, and to change my bedding like I can afford to do that every month as a student working fulltime living alone
At this point all I can do is wear long sleeves, be itchy and hope it complicates to the point a hospital trip is needed and maybe I can get an actual diagnosis

Already did. Turned out I had severe scoliosis. A 67 degree curve on the bottom and a 55 degree curve on the top. To correct this, my spine is fused (T3 to L4) into one bone with cobalt chrome and titanium rods to correct what curve was there and so it wont get worse.
Here's the twist. I still hurt like a fuck and now I cant bend. I'm also $5000 poorer.

one unfortunate manifestation of this with me was mirrors. when i passed by one, if i saw my reflection with my peripheral vision it didn't feel right (presumably because i had to see both sides of my face) so i stopped whatever i was doing and kept watching my face from every angle (sometimes for minutes) until i could feel "right" and continue with what i was doing. and i had to be careful not to see my reflection again or i had to repeat it
