Yes, both melee and unarmed only. Hitting things in NV is fun as fuck with all the different weapons the DLCs add.

I played 200 hours on my laptop with all the graphics turned down to lowest and had a blast, even if I had to take breaks because even that was heating my shit up too much

Yes melee builds are fun. Maximum RP to do it while you're doing a legion run. Enjoyed my time making brotherhood of steel Paladins flop around and have their skull crushed while destroying their base :). Also makes dead money 10x easier

Stealth melee was impossible in this game.
Even when using a stealth boy with all perks I always got seen by random npcs nonetheless.
Only playable with the perk mod that completely stealths you while slow walking.
