Maybe a year, some of the newest games like extra epic yarn and luigis mansion remake haven't dropped in price much

Bot him, but I hacked mine a couple weeks ago. Go to 3ds dot hacks dot guide and install cfw there, then just go find cias (the rom format) on zipperto. From there you just use the package manager fbi (installed with the guide I linked) and install your games there

This is probably the only console I'll never sell or give away. Having so many retro games and long rpgs on a handheld system is very nice. My 3DS backlog is massive too, I could stop buying games now and be set for the next 10 years

My thoughts exactly user. Though seeing the stuff coming out and joker being in smash, it's probable that square will start to add over persona and smt games. I just miss being able to curl up in bed with my 2ds and game in the morning, can't really do that with the switch. Maybe nintendo will release a smaller version? Or next generation they'll drop the hybrid gimick and go back to having two lines of consoles out at once

My battery barely lasts an hour. Of course i fucked my battery over by constantly keeping it connected to the charger, but even when it was brand new i'd compare it to the PSP battery and the PSP lasted a hell of a lot longer than the 3DS'

Should've gone with the XL. The old 2DS can't play SNES stuff very well and the XL also gets the exclusive New 3DS games on it as well, plus it's pretty comfy.

I'm 28, got the 3DS in 2014 for Smash, also got Kid Icarus Uprising alongside it just so i don't only play Smash all the time but wasn't really expecting much from the game, it turned out to be one of my favorite games ever, top 5 for sure

Haven't had a 3DS since I sold mine a few years ago when I needed the money. I found an OG model in a thrift store for $35 a month ago that was in pretty good condition. Just recently installed CFW on it and transferred over my Explorers of Sky save as well as installing Super Mystery Dungeon, New Leaf, and Yo-Kai Watch 2. Right now I'm just getting started on the post game content for EoS.

There are pros and cons for both, and it's really up to you. Just play the updates for the better resolutions I guess, just be warned that both the 3ds versions are heavily casualized and if you're more wanting difficult challenges then go DS version.

25 years old, I bought my 3ds when I was 21.

I've got a 3ds and a 3ds xl and only play games on the xl
God only knows how, but some moisture or something got inside the screen of the xl around the time pokemon sun and moon came out and aside from finishing those games, I haven't been able to bring myself to use it again.
I haven't bought a non pokemon game for the 3ds since a link between worlds and I feel like I really missed out on the golden age of this handheld.
I want to upgrade now and catch up, but idk what the definitive version of the console is now.

I just started Ultra Sun, haven't played much to form an opinion but I'm hoping to enjoy it. Mainly been replaying RF4 and enjoying marries life to Clorica

New2s has a few problems but is super light and ultimate ergonomics shy of some kind of controller shell thing. It's functionally the dslite of the 3ds family Except for the slightly smaller battery, the clit sized stylus, and the speakers being on the lower half instead of the top half. That said the hinges don't swing as much, it's cheaper, and theres no retarded 3d slider that accidentally gets bumped and makes you cross-eyed for a second because no version of the 3ds does 3d right with how low the fucking resolution is, seriously Nintendo there are like 4 games with functional 3d that dont hurt my eyes and 2 of them are fucking kirby

I liked ORAS but I'm biased cause I started with gen 3. B&W2 and HGSS are also great.

I just don't know what to play on my 3ds anymore. I tried to get into Etrian but the game isn't for me. I'm not too fond of stopping each step just to draw walls. I like my RPGs SNES style.

I'm focused on my Switch library as well, but I usually get a 3DS game if it's a franchise I've yet to play and it has a predecessor on 3DS (like I got DKC Returns 3D as a starting point for that series, and then played through Tropical Freeze) and I'm going to do the same with Luigi's Mansion since I have both games on there now as I posted earlier in the thread

Played MH4U for like 500 hours. 3U sucked. GU on Switch. Played Fantasy Life for a week when it came out but became boring fast. LOTS of text and I just wanted to roleplay. Good game tho, just wasn't for me.

Oh that and VIII are TOTALLY on my list there. I'm just getting some older RPGs out of the way first which is what I'm using my Vita for. I just like it better for emulating because it has a nicer and comfier build so I'm just using the 3DS for actual 3DS and NDS games only. For emulating sadly the Vita is better (even for SNES, Retroarch is as good)

Donphan is a bulky piece of shit, it's HP and Defense were raised for extra bulkiness, it has an Item that recovers HP each turn, it has an ability that prevent it from fainting, it has a move that prevents the enemy from switching, it has a move that reduces attack, it has a move that increases defense, it has a move that fully heals it's HP.

If you don't have a special attacker on it you are effectively stuck with a fucking elephant that cannot be killed no matter what you do so chances are that you pokemon will end up killing itself after a fuck load of turns.

Why? because fuck you, that's why.
