Trails in the Sky FC is my favorite ending of any videogame ever, though I wasn't really cheering.
If you're talking about pure happy hype, then yeah W101 is a good pick.

I've had that game on my backlog for a while now but haven't had the motivation to play it. What's the game like, user?

It's a very special JRPG in that it's 90% about nothing more than a boy and a girl going on a coming-of-age traveling internship job around their home country while slowly falling in love.
The story isn't "KILL GOD, SAVE THE WORLD" and is very low key. You might not even realize there's an overarching plot until the latter half of the game where it suddenly begins to kick into motion.

I usually hate this word, but it's actually extremely 'comfy'. You need to have a certain mindset to enjoy it (it's okay to not like it, none of my friends do). The characters are all likable, the worldbuilding is top tier, and the world itself seems to be moving around you. It's one of the few games where I felt "Ah, I'm a part of this world, it doesn't revolve around my characters. My crew is just a very very small part of a greater scope".

It's hard for me to put it all into words. I love it but will also admit it has tons of faults, firstmost being the admittedly mediocre combat.

>not kirby wrecking ganon's ship with dragoon

The ending seems to have some kind of plot hole, too. When you go back to 4 minutes before someone's death, you travel in time, but not in space (aka you remain where you touched the body in the present). So why do you get sent to the park? Shouldn't you be sent to the middle of the ocean? Or in the submarine, assuming it existed 10 years prior? After all, when you save the guy who crashed his van in the restaurant, you get sent back on the driver seat, far away from where you found the body. Shit's fucked.

Why does Donkey Kong not have teeth?

not ashamed to admit this put me through the full gambit of emotions
