Yes. OST was kino

I've never had good days.

Yeah, I remember the Perion free market. I doubt most people even remember that.

El Nath was the comfiest area. Yes even more comfy than the nostalgic low level areas:

stop making threads everyday

Yes Yea Forums does remember still, just like we have discussed in the previous thousand thread

big bang was objectively the best era of the game

DFO is far and away more fun

i would spend hours begging high levels to level me instead of just leveling myself

Suck shit crybaby. You're not getting your wish.

i miss it

I remember the adventure I had when I went down Orbis tower and I couldn't make it back up because I ran out of potions and I was low level.

Reminder that you can never go back.

I have fond memories of dropping mesos for noobs in Henesys and getting them to follow me outside of town by continually dropping them, and I'd lead them to the stone golems and try to get them killed.

I remember hanging out in the cool kids club on top of the roof of thecave areas where people couldn't see your name to click the "report" button

Game was the god damn grindiest shit. Making it to the second promotion took like 80 hours, and the game wasn't even fun before that point

Can someone explain me the pre-bb Ludibrium lore?

>missing the point
Good job idiot. Maplestory was a social game, and most people are nostalgic for the friends they once had, and the adventures they went on. Naturally an anti-social loner like yourself would never see the appeal.

My biggest issue with MapleStory was its core gameplay itself, because survivability meant nothing. As long as you can take a hit you just spam potions to live. It had so much potential but potions just made it a braindead game. It was the social aspect that kept people around.

If Vanilla MS was released today it would be panned universally as a shitty korean grinding simulator with P2W bullshit and limited build options.

Is that actually a thing non israelis remember from back then? As an israeli i have to wonder

yeah all the weird international shit in the chat is memorable and gave it a weird vibe, like how like 1% of the population had "Azn" somewhere in their name

I quit playing games like that after Flyff because it felt weird to be playing it at 30 years old.

I remember ragequitting after a dark scroll destroyed my best top

>Tfw being a level 30 thief going to high level places often getting stuck because everything killed me in one hit

No, my computer was shit at the time.

>he didnt get stuck at the bottom of ludus lake because he was a level 30 in a level 50 area, and the tower was legitimately 100 fucking floors
WHO THE FUCK THOUGHT LUDUS LAKE WAS A GOOD IDEA

I wanna go back.
Back when my friend told me about this game and all I had to worry about is just play and homework.

Ludus lake is actually 60 floors with 20 hidden zones.
The place with birds and helicopters count as 20 floors each.

who else hired a guild to get them a zac helm at level 50 and then roflstomped PPQ (MPQ?) for a single level.

the way the adventurers had the choice between 4 different classes (5 after pirates) at level 10 and then AGAIN got to choose between a few different classes to change to at level 30 was really cool and i wish that they continued to make every job advancement like that rather than just add a bunch of new classes that end up the same at level 200 no matter what because there is only one job path for them.
also i think that common use of wikis killed a lot of the wonder and mystery of exploring in games like maplestory. if you wanted to find out what was exactly at the bottom of the 100 floors of eos tower, you either found someone that knew and asked them or journeyed down there yourself. and then got stuck at the bottom

Attached: 1540852913066.jpg (1000x800, 384K)

ahh it was LPQ

closet thing to PVP in that game

Played it for a bit in 2005 ish but I was only 10 and it was too hard

shouldve been an area at the bottom full of NPC noobs who got stuck after falling down, where they try to eke out a living

I played it once, and the lady in the tutorial told me how many mushrooms I'd have to kill there to reach max level

That is understandable
I was 12 when I played in 2007, but my autism let me power through it and think it was just so much damn fun.

unironically better than World of Warcraft or Runescape

you forgot LUK only thiefs with maple equips and zakum helmets doing triple damage than anyone

thieves are fucking bullshit
They do 3x damage but the throwing items cost like 20x everyone else's cost

Back then damage was based in animation speed rather than stats, casually thieves had the fastest animations with star attacks.

How does this make you feel?

youtube.com/watch?v=0qj4hgJeSe4

>Back then damage was based in animation speed
No it wasn't, idiot.

Fucking this, why the fuck do Ibi's cost like 1 mil anyways? They don't even do good damage, they are literally just +10 attack damage from regular throwing stars.
Fuck price inflater faggots

Yes but I don't remember it very fondly. The grind was crazy with little pay off as there was so little content at higher levels. The art style/music is still great though. My most comfy spot has to be the sleepy woods and its surrounding areas.

Because Mushmom spawned like once every 30 minutes.

>numaple
Retard.

I spent so many hours of this game with me and my friend in middle school-high school. I was around when they had that Christmas snowball fight that lagged to shit, and they had Christmas trees to drop items on and whatever. I also scammed a noob or two The game actually felt challenging and it always meant something when you leveled up, the game felt like it went on forever. Fuck bros when are we getting classic servers???

>tfw you rolled a bowman
>No one ever wanted you for PQs due to lack of party skills and suboptimal DPS

why does this class exist

Play because WoW had a cost.
Music was great, played with friends.
Nephew to play, but had to sit with him cause this was when the internet was full of creeps with chainsaws.
Leveling the wrong stat ruined a character for life.

I played back in like 04 or something dude

You were a god at 120 bossing.

I do, back then in 2005-2006, when I was carving for those rare MMOs.
I remember how grindy it was, I remember MU online, Gunbound, fuckin Sherwood...the good ol days, maybe when we die we get to play them again

1 mil was nothing chump.
When I was playing they were going for 30mil.

These are some of the most kino tracks I've ever listened to, comfy as fuck.

Coolest place in the game.

Then post a proper screencap you spastic.

I remember being stuck in that town for awhile because I went down there way underleveled and I couldn't get back up, I had to wait for a higher level to take pity on me and escort me back. The music fit my mood completely at the time.

Nobody cares about your commentary you stupid idiot.

I like the weeaboo city theme where you fight all those triad tanookis (because le censorship), even though the grind there was meh.

Fuck off and dilate.

>hit level 200 years ago
>forgot email and log in info

Oh well.
Was a good ride. Made friends I still talk to. I think 1 still plays and last I talked to him about MS he told me my account had nothing worth shit in today's version of the game.

The Happyville Christmas song is probably my favorite holiday related song of all time across all genres of music.

Same. The "White Christmas" bit in the beginning always stuck with me.

i remember when sushi was killing pianus and i was sitting there with god mode talking shit to her and getting some hits in so i could loot the drops
