Is it worth getting this guy? He seems like a pain in the ass for only a weapon with no armor to back it up, but I have what I think is him lined up on the choice screen.

The weapon can combo pretty well with different armors for the sake of making someone an absolute tank for certain scenarios, like dealing with CENSORED itself or being able to hold off a phase 3 Mountain while waiting for long range agents to get into position.
I think it's a little too specific in what it does, but it's still helpful since it's an ALEPH weapon.

Guys I just got to Day 22 and survived my first Dusk Ordeal on Day 21. Fucking Crimson Dusk SANIC'D through my facility and murdered my weak dudes in one pass, so I reset. After that I had to micro and move all my weak dudes to a far-off elevator and then trigger the Ordeal. 5 minutes of yakety sax later, I beat it with half my agents being less than half health all with HE and WAV gear on. Ironically, my agent in full Der Freikugel gear managed to solo one of the Crimson Dusk beyblade monsters. Had to reset occasionally because Singing Machine E.G.O gift giving causing my agent to jump right in the moment the work finishes. Also the two Unknowns there are Porccubus and Shelter.

If all the Dusk ordeals are this bad, how the fuck am I supposed to get any grinding done? Should I use up my LOBs right now to get like 3-4 more agents to grind up? I feel like gift grinding is becoming less of an easy prospect with Dusk Ordeals going full *blocks your path* on me at a certain point.

Basically you want to grind everyone on HE and above
I think it takes around 7 works on a HE to level up from IV -> V
Later on you'll get a bonus drop rate chance on abbos so stop wasting time in the early game

It's mostly dependent on gear, a lot of your difficulty is going to be from a lack of good gear. HE is alright for Dusk, but you'll want more WAW gear. And same goes for Red Noon. It's HE class, so you really want that bonus survivability and damage that WAW will give you.
Grinding TETHs isn't as efficient as higher abnormalities, focus what grinding you can on your HEs, you get more bang for your buck.

the Old Lady's glasses do look nice but you will get better ego gift in the same spots later on.
The clowns are easy enough as long as you have some decent fortitude and some okay weapons, just make sure you don't have the guy with die fagshits' gun behind the group attacking the clowns

Singing machine can be a bitch, and Snow Queen's gift is almost guaranteed. Go for the frostbite. Dreaming Current is definitely great for grinding, and he's pretty easy to keep happy. As for your chads, if their stats are maxed it doesn't really matter where they start, just keep them somewhere they can respond quickly to threats.

Ignore all the disciples. Micromanage like a champ. Expect to sit there for 30 minutes or more if you don't have enough DPS. It's basically a gigantic Justice check, if some are straggling behind due to not having gifts to boost them past EX's base stat you may be looking at some casualties. Also, you need quick reactions with pale shields as the WN gives a tell before he blasts everyone but since you can't pause it's kind of hard. Elevators are your best friend.

If he's in central you're probably screwed due to how awkward the way to reach him in central is. If he isn't in central, elevators let you stack your guys for easier rushes.
Other than that, keep chads alive and stack his blue guardians so they're easier to avoid.

Don't use ANY white damage, and pretty much ignore using Pale damage. Use a small hitsquad of 4-8 agents, too many puts you at risk of losing everything when one dies due to chain panicking, and send any agents with the Doctor's gift as far away as possible. If WN is in any of the middle departments consider retrying to make him move, the best areas are the sides. It's just a task of hitting him a few times, then when a scythe Apostle preps a swing move either behind them or out of range by moving the agents towards a hallway then making them attack again. I'd recommend periodically putting them in an elevator periodically to give them Pale shields, it can save their lives. If any other Apostles wander nearby stay away from them and do not engage.
I beat him after about 1.5 hours of retries, the fight isn't very fun but oh well.

It's not mentioned, it doesn't really come into play either, but Justicia makes the agent immune to Fiery Bird's effect when you begin suppressing it.

I prefer Justitia because justice boosts are hard to come by.

If the agent also has Ice Queen's gift, Mountain's mask would give them +11 HP/SP and if you have Apocalypse's wings, that's a +18 HP/SP boost, with two of the gifts being near-effortless to obtain.
I'll have to look and see if there's an easy combination of stuff to bulk up your average employee that won't be wearing ALEPH stuff.

The million meltdowns are what really kicks me in the face every time he shows up, not the bird. I am so overloaded with ALEPHs that I can't really deal with the immense amount of them while trying to chip through the huge bulk of the Judgement egg.

Big Birb doesn't really suffer, he's just a legit idiot who has no idea he's doing horrible things. Though he does 'technically' suffer because he can't ever go to sleep, which is what was addressed in the legacy work on him.
Judgement Bird does apparently eventually feel guilt and remorse after he realizes that he is the monsters along with the rest of them, and as before in legacy, would put down his imbalanced scales.
Punishing Bird however is literally satan and isn't suffering in any way whatsoever. Think of it like this:
Big Bird thinks he's doing the right thing. Judgement Bird is trying to do the right thing, but knowingly perverts the course of justice to force constant perfection as he has no idea how to actually deal with someone neither innocent or guilty and can't just proclaim everyone innocent.
Punishing Bird's whole thing was he wanted to punish "wrong-doers", and when someone insulted his baby beak he got so mad he turned into bird satan, and his schtick is "I'll hurt you whenever I fucking please and if you fight back I'll MURDER you because you fucking deserve it"

Starting my second run, and I'm obviously aiming for WN. If I defeat him, I get the weapon, suit, and all the survivors get the wing afaik. But, I'll still have to deal with him in my facility which sounds like a massive pain in the ass. I can memrepo him, but I'll lose the wings, right? Between the two (wings + WN or neither), which is better?

You don't get his armor, just the weapon. You need to work on him to get his armor. He's basically like an easier Train to Hell with a generous 3 counter. The issue is that he can shuffle himself around whenever he pleases, so having a dedicated agent means they won't get consecutive day bonuses. He also heals everyone on Good results, and just demands he be worked on every 60 seconds at the least. Since he still produces fat e-boxes, unless you haven't done Chesed suppression(in which case lol when it's White damage +) you'll probably be working on him a bunch anyways.

That's not all, Manager.
You need WN in your facility for the EGO to perform at its peak.

One Sin's 'power' is directly proportional to the sin confessed. That's why an employee getting 10 boxes(i.e. a full, complete confession) heals everyone.
And that's why the 12th Apostle confessing drums up the Light of God to murder him. That beam does 3330 Pale damage a hit, by the way.

I did it yesterday without anyone dying with below average equipment.
First, send literally everyone not having pale damage in one room (that doesn't have the portal) and leave them in stand by, send the pale guys in another room.
Park one chad in front of the abnos that WILL get out so that they can solo it, for example mountain of corpses.
Summon apo bird, I did it by making one guy enter and exit a tool room untill punishing bird git out while the guy with justicia was doing repression work on long bird.
When the biggest bird gets out, send the non pale group to focus long beak, and the pale group to focus big beak. ZOOM OUT in order to see meltdowns and where apo bird is, it gives you all the time you need to escape if it teleports to a egg room.
After you destroy long beak, you can pause the game, so you can easily send all red and white damage to big beak, black to small beak.
Keep the camera zoomed out and ALWAYS check meltdowns, they are your top priority.
Long>big>small is the optimal order.
If someone gets hypnotize, remember that they'll wake up as soon as they see the bird, you can easily micro them to safety.
Send TWO guys to important meltdowns like alephs, so that if one gets hypnotized the other can still complete it.
It's actually not that hard once you realize apo bird can't really hurt you and the real problem are meltdowns, just deathball long egg, pause every few seconds, take it easy.

Nothing There and Blue Star are the real dicks when it comes to it, as well as Plague Doctor making it impossible to do without getting possessed or being forced to keep a L1 guy with the crazed researcher's note alive without having access to HP bullets.
I can reasonably kill Melting Love and Mountain already. Grave of Cherry Blossoms and Schadenfreude are also a lot more irritating than normal when you can't pause.

You should be able to kill the long egg way before the meltdowns drop if you send almost everyone to it unless you have like zero waw weapons and still haven't done gebura suppression. After long egg is destroyed it becomes extremely easy to micro stuff around because you can pause again. Just don't let the meltdowns go out bro.

user I most certainly have not done Gebura's suppression, I just did Malkuth's and it's way late, I was planning to repo across after this day, do Yesod's, do Hod's, etc. all in quick succession of repo's. What I do have is 6 full sets of ALEPH gear and 2 sets of WAW gear. I'll have an additional 2 sets of ALEPH weapons plus 1 more ALEPH armor and 1 WAW armor if I farm properly on this day, I need 180 boxes from Melting Love and that's not looking terribly feasible right now, she's extremely fussy and requires a LOT of boxes to not piss off.

Should I be fussing to do missions / research as fast as possible? I'm on day 29 these are getting brutal (suppress 5 WAWs, complete a Dusk ordeal), can't tell if I should just focus on grinding more people to level V.

The missions are permanent progression. Having Gigachads lets you do them easier, but ultimately, beating the game means you have to do them and you're on a strict time limit of Day 46. You're gonna need to memrepo a lot where you're at now, if you want to finish everything without having to reset to Day 1.
Though if you do have to reset, don't worry, the abnos you researched and the gear you bought from them will stay with you, along with completed mission benefits.

If you've got her and her husbando isolated you should be able to do about three works per meltdown level, assuming they're a V agent. You should have your boxes in about three meltdowns. Four if you play it safe and only go at her twice each time.

Do as much as you can, the more gear and progress you bring with you to the next run, the easier it is. I managed all core suppressions in my first run and my second run's been smooth sailing.

Yesod prize is the worst in the game, while hod's is one of the best. That being said, hod's suppression is dozens of times harder than yesod's.

Surprisingly enjoyable being stacked with all these monstrosities, they help you rush to the end of the day a lot faster. Part of the reason I'm so late at clearing these core suppressions is because I had to consciously stop myself and get to a very high meltdown level to get to the Dusk ordeal, since they shit out so much energy and the gear from them is like having 2 agents in one so nobody really dies and no foe (except Nothing There) is too dangerous.
Got the HP bullets. It's time to decide if I do Apocalypse Bird first, Gebura's ALEPH suppression mission first, or Yesod/Hod suppression first? I'm considering trying to learn timings for You Must Be Happy to speed along Apocalypse Bird's easter egg hunt but I don't want them to die to the boost/penalties at the end. Might just do Yesod and Gebura's at the same time? Or?

I just did though, cleared Hod's "Deploy 5 Level V agents" at the end of Malkuth's suppression.

Doing Apoco Bird's event counts as 3 Alephs for Gebura's Supression. Also it's unironically the best weapon + armor in the game, unless you have WN in facility to enhance his equipment

Doing the upper level suppressions give you some neat bonuses to make handling bird story time easier. Gebura's mission is all about knowing what Alephs you have that you can clean out easily. Mountain of Jobbers is easy if you have a strike team waiting outside his containment and Silent Orchestra is a DPS check, so those are relatively easy to suppress. You could probably suppress Melting Love too, if you do a controlled breach.

Part of what I forgot to mention was also that the doctor helps a lot by doing stuff like relocating the Silent Orchestra to all the way up in Control or bringing Melting Love up from Central into Information.
Well shit, I was planning to crush the Mountain, Melting Love (already beaten her down 5+ times due to excessive Repression work), and either the Silent Orchestra or testing out CENSORED here, not sure how strong he is.
Would have tried Blue Star because he's weak but I need the minor agents too and he wipes them too fast.

Good luck, manager! You're spoiled for choice, really. By the time I got to that mission, my only Alephs were Blue Star, Nothing There, and Mountain. Ended up having to call rabbits on Blue Star, and rush Nothing There before it went into cocoon form.

Censored is like mountain of corpses but on the SP side, meaning he is a jobber but can escalate really quickly if you let him panic/kill clerks

CENSORED is actually piss easy if you have decent black resist, just pause and SP bullet spam your deathball once they get SP tanked by his Hopeless debuff, popping a single black shield is enough to negate his attacks. Just watch out for the potential spawns if he gets close to a Clerk.Silent Orchestra is a DPS check like the other user said, but it's relatively safe with a few White Shields at the start + occassional SP heals.

Blue Star is an easier SO DPS check wise, but it can cause collateral damage by killing off your lower levels and clerks. Also chain panic kills are a thing that you have to watch out for.You can legit solo Mountain with a single Chad.

If you want I can provide an Apoco-Birb guide, it's actually not that hard if you know what you're relatively doing, I did it with roughly 50 people and had zero casualties after getting fucked by it and getting Facility wiped.

Got you guys to thank for that. Not sure if I'm supposed to have more ALEPHs than HEs and WAWs but I like the gear. Like the title screen says, face the fear. Turns out the fear was only justified in the case of Nothing There. Blue Star and Mountain are good lads who usually behave themselves.
Oh. Then he can eat my shit, I have a Da Capo Agent with the monocle who is almost completely incapable of panicking unless it's through a special effect that inflicts insta-panic.
Going to try hunting him, after unlocking his tips so I don't get instakilled.

I don't have SP bullets yet, got the HP ones first to help my little guys survive the pale damage from the egg. I haven't managed to beat orchestra yet but I immediately crushed Blue Star in seconds, his problem really is just the huge amount of clerk/LOB1 agent deaths that set everything else off. Mountain always has Mimicry girl sitting outside his door and she beat him senseless as soon as he leaves his cell. He can't deal any damage due to the weapon+gift effect.

Censored's special HOPELESS!!! debuff is a straight 70% SP cut with no damage component, so it can't be reduced.
EXCEPT through using its' own weapon, which cuts it down to 30%.

That only makes you absorb White damage, not prevent panic.
CENSORED does Black damage, of course. When it assimilates a Clerk or Agent however, it does roomwide catastrophic White damage.

Yesod's is super easy if you're familiar with the UI, your employees and abnos (new ones you have to test out regardless so it's okay) I did it in one try while taking several tries for the other uppers
