the first redesigned model out of at least 4

but I wanted a more powerful Switch instead

Can't wait to gift my mom one for when Animal Crossing comes out.

Why?
That's pretty pointless.

don't worry, they will release a Switch "Pro" as well

60fps

Can it be hacked

Yes?
Most games already are.

why dont nintendo just make a cellphone handheld hybrid?

When's nintendo's next shareholders meeting? we might hear more then

Soon user. Shortly

If this had the capability to be plugged into a tv via a single usb c to hdmi cable this would be perfect.

Is it possible that Nintendo fucks up AGAIN and make the new revision hackable somehow?

That's not a fuckup. It is a blessing.

So what's the defense for when the joysticks start wearing down? This thing is fucking retarded and pointless.

Yeah good luck getting games like BOTW to run past 20 fps on the Switch though.

in 540p

>two main concept of the switch are portable/dock and removible controller
>controller part of the console and probably no dock mode

I'm tired of seeing this "prototype"

Hopefully it can be hacked with ease. Otherwise it's useless.

same as 3ds...

hopefully since high end phones can already do this and run at higher resolutions

Cute and portable, just like your dick

You get fps drops in let's go Pikachu/Eevee.

3ds has an analog nub. Not two full on analog sticks. Vita would be a better comparison. Still, joycon analog sticks are notorious for drifting and overall being not great quality.

it doesn't even matter in pokemon games, timing is never essential

>controllers can’t be detachable rendering a bunch of games useless

Now if this thing get's hacked more easily then the normal Switch and Nintendo basically just gives up patching out modding could this become a decent emulation device?

ifixit.com

You can buy the dock separately and the old school joy cons can still be used as controllers
Boom

>Handheld only

It just makes more sense to make one that doesn't leave the television. Mine never leaves my house.

To be fair, gamefreak could struggle to get stable framerate on a supercomputer.

Any company that has tried that has failed miserably.

>wii u

Outside the original models no one has made progress hacking any of fixes models

Fucking never
Plus Nvidia sheild already exists
Why would you need a Switch?

I don't like the design of the Shield, this "mini" thing looks more comfier and looks closer to a Vita.

that says more about the companies that tried, rather than the concept

I'm not carrying a handheld system AND a phone

Zelda BOTW runs most of the time at 30 until you go to some wrong neighborhood lagcompton and despite being only 18% of the map..

Switch mini won't have 'docked' mode, just video-out. Why? Because Switch mini would get too hot in the smaller chassis trying to run at docked clock speeds.

I think it's more how people get free phones through a contract, people already get phones for free when they sign up.

If it have a die shrink, you probably can pull that off.

>'free' phone through a contract
>contract is an extra $20-30 per month over 2-3 years as a result

I get your point but honestly Pokémon isn't the best example. That shit lagged on 3DS already and would probably lag on a high-end PC too.

Kirby Star Allies would be a better comparison. That game looks really amazing, but it being capped at 30fps makes it frustrating especially when the 3DS titles ran at 60fps.

>NO THEY WON'T DO A CHEAP SWITCH
Nintendo does it
>NO TOYCONS ARE A MAIN THING ON THE SWITCH
Nintendo doesn't care
>IT'LL COST ABOVE $200
Nintendo prices it at $149.99

Looks like the Gen 1 early adopters get BTFO and waitfags get rewarded with better Switches

>Looks like the Gen 1 early adopters get BTFO and waitfags get rewarded with better Switches
taht has been teh case for most nintendo consoles with revision
GB pocket> OG GB
AGS 101 >GBA
DS lite>DS tank
New 3DS>OG 3DS
New switch>OG switch

Early model switch is the only one you can hack.. How is that a negative?

I'm down. Fuck the joycons.

>fuck joycons
>let me have permanently bolted on ones instead that I can't replace when they start drifting
????

>Looks like the Gen 1 early adopters get BTFO and waitfags get rewarded with better Switches
the gen 1 early adopters get the switch's entire library for free

JUST GIVE ME A FUCKING DPAD JOYCON ALREADY

>buy switch mini
>buy pro controller with the saved money
Genius

they already exist user
amazon.co.uk/Official-Nintendo-Licensed-Version-Switch/dp/B07FSR93MQ

Gamefreak cant optimize their games to save their lives.

>Can only be used in handheld mode
>Does not have vibration, motion sensors, NFC, or IR sensor
>Does not include battery
No fuck this shit

me I'm waiting out for the 2switchS

>It just makes more sense to make one that doesn't leave the television.
Yeah, but Pokemon is coming out in 5 months. Nintendo always releases a revision of their handheld console around the time a Pokemon game comes out.

>Ruby & Sapphire
>GBA SP a while after

>Diamond & Pearl
>DS Lite a bit after

>X & Y
>3DS XL

and now we have Sword & Shield coming out soon, and Nintendo wants to push more console sales. What's a tried and true system seller of theirs, where many people buy their handhelds specifically so they can play said game series?

only like half of the games I've bought run at 60 fps are you including cheap eshop games in that?

never owned a wiiu
