Alright, someone help me out if I'm missing something here. I can get 144fps on WT in windows (i7-2600, 980Ti), but running it on linux I can only get around 60fps, even on lowest settings. Having to use the proprietary drivers, as nouveau won't even let the game boot, freezing the DE.

"Linux" is just a kernel, so it stands to reason that a free/open kernel would be adapted by lots of people for different ends as part of operating systems (distributions). So since "linux" is so non-specific, your post would be just as accurate if you substituted in the word "computer" instead. If you want to be rid of Windows just stick to Ubuntu (which is actually comparable, being an operating system). Your hand will be held through everything, you don't have to think if you don't want to, and you'll have choices when you decide you want them.

I'm genuinely surprised at how good Linux has become for gaming.
Been testing Manjaro on my backup pc and holy fuck it's come a long way.

The only thing that's keeping me from making the switch on my primary pc is that I can't get PLEX to stream video from Manjaro pc to my NVIDIA Shield.
The Nvidia streaming app was also broken and I couldn't stream games either, but the Steam Link app streams Linux games just fine.
Any advice on the PLEX issue?
