Did you buy anything during the E3 sale?
Did you buy anything during the E3 sale?
There was an E3 sale? What did I miss in terms of deals?
Crypt of the Necrodancer and Hollow Knight.
Playing cuphead for the first time, it’s really fucking fun
>2019
>buying games
Not much, honestly. It was all digital and most of the good games weren't on sale.
>20% off at most
>"sale"
A dilation station, for you.
No, the last time a good game came out on the Switch was 7 months ago.
Pure reddit post.
Hollow Knight - loved it, amazing game.
Atelier Rorona - regret it horribly. It was a week now and I'm still sad when I think about it.
Aside from the fact that it was incredibly easy to pirate it on PC to test if you like it before putting money into it, why do you regret Rorona?
FFVII, Wild Guns Reloaded and Crypt of the Necrodancer.
Necrodancer and FFVII, the latter of which I just started today.
I got a bunch of boxed games off eBay for $5-15
The same games on eshop, in a sale are $20-30
Anyone using the eshop is a full retard.
Genesis Collection mostly to play Shining Force 1 and 2 again
Hollow Knight. It's amazing so far.
Anyone bought the game voucher yet? I'm getting one and unsure what to use it on
I'm glad companies finally stopped with the Virtual Console shit. A collection always turns out to be a better deal than selling retro games individually.
I dunno I would have rather just bought Shining Force 1 and 2 for like $6 each with really good M2 remastering.
What remastering do they do? In my experience VC games are inferior to just downloading a ROM from somewhere and using whatever enhancements you feel like.
I wanted something cute and turn based, Arland games looked just right for it. I watched the reviews and I knew they're not 10/10, but still decided to give them a chance. But Rorona is pretty bare bones, there's not much to do and it gets repetitive real quick (not to mention the voice acting and some eyesore environment objects). It's not a bad game, I might even complete it some day, yet... I just wish I purchased Meruru instead or just add that 30$ to my eshop balance.
Buying it without thinking was a bad decision, maybe I'll learn from it.
What game voucher?
You should check out the work they did on the Castlevania collection, and also all the individual Sega Ages releases. Just a lot of love and work put in. New songs in OutRun, a constant map on-screen for Star Ocean, dot matrix emulation for Castlevania Adventure and Final Fantasy Adventure, etc.
Not everyone is American
>Actual game
Mario Kart 8
>Cheap shit
NBA
NoReload Heroes
Dragon's Dogma wasn't on sale and I've got my hands full with Dark Souls and MH
The 2 games for 99$ one. Look at the NSO tab in the Eshop
Pic related is still on sale.
is it worth $24?
also, is there a way to turn on the original art? these HD versions look really alike and pretty soulless, sfv and toki are the same
*SF2
Oh, well if they mainly do collections then that kinda supports my point, that collections are better than VC because they put in all that extra content and the ratio of the cost to the number of games you get is generally a pretty good deal. I will admit that I didn't know there were new Sega Ages games being made on Switch though so fair enough, that kind of thing is quite nice rather than a straight port. But those seem to be an exception rather than a rule.
>sales? haha sorry, I only buy full price collector's editions
I have bought dozens of nds games from the us/canada sellers. stuff like strange journey and fatlus titles
I got this and I've been loving it. As a big fan of the original's art direction, this is pretty good as its own thing. Just looks like the boxart and instruction art in motion.
Just Hollow Knight
>falling for the switch meme
The games are a decent length and there's three of them so it's a lot of bang for your buck but they're very story based so there's not a lot of replay value. I guess it depends on what you expect to get out of $24, but they are very good. I don't think there's a way to use the original art, but then again I don't really see any problem with the art (and I have played it on DS). They just touched up the sprites to look better on a larger screen.
People buy PS just for killzone
People buy Xbox for Gears
People buy switch for smash
There's no memes involved. it's their money to waste on no game consoles.
Wasn't hollow knight like seven fucking bucks?
Dunno if it was a part of the E3 sale, but I bought Xenoblade 2 expansion
Compare the PC Gaming E3 conference to Nintendo's
Got World of Final Fantasy the day before it went out; it is really goddamn slow to get into, but has a very comfy-looking artstyle, a pretty easy-to-understand battle system, and for what it’s worth, will probably be the better Pokemon game when SWSH drops to a negative reception in November. I’m running through it, but I feel like it’s going to eat up a huge chunk of my time - thank god this system’s portable.
I also got Travis Strikes Again on the sale, and beat that last night, going to bed while the DLC I bought loaded in. Pretty good game for what it was, and my dick got rock-hard at the Shadows of the Damned level, with Garcia Hotspur & everything. Very excited for No More Heroes 3 to come out now, can’t wait for more info on that.
I got FF7
thanks guys. the art isn't bad, it's just very similar to other HD re-releases.
But I think i'll get it.
yes
Bought one since I plan on getting Astral Chain and Daemon X Machina.
No im saving money.
Ask switch owners which games they own. It's all in 1st party. They are not interested in non Nintendo games.
Hollow knight, ace attorney, katamari
And they don't need to be. Every single first party Nintendo game is great.
Utterly fucking BTFO in a single post
What about for games that aren't released physically, stupid?
>Every single first party Nintendo game is great.
This is bait.
Oh shit, I didn't know about this. So that's what they meant by special deals for NSO owners. Well I gotta say that's kinda shady though because you're paying $20 for online already so in essence you're still paying $120 for two games which is literally the normal price for two games. But I guess if you were planning to buy 2 games anyway it's better than having to pay $140.
You can buy more than one voucher (I think up to six per year), so if you're already planning on buying 4 games in a year you're actually saving money by subscribing to NSO
Rocket league. It's really fun actually and I didnt think it would be. Also kirby but I haven't played it yet
Necrodancer for 80p after gold points
Save often, I literally just lost hours of progress because the game crashed when I left an area and I'm fucking pissed about it. I'm just gonna emulate it.
I almost bought a switch but that pokemon shit spooked me off. If that switch mini leak earlier was real it's a blessing, since it'll probably slice prices by $50 or more.
No shit, moron. I ain’t buying a Nintendo console for Sony games am I. Did you even think before posting. Absolute brainlet.
I see. That's pretty solid then. Granted I won't personally benefit from it because I prefer to buy physical anyway but I know someone who would so I'm sure he'll appreciate this if he doesn't know about it.
No, because the deals weren't that great.
>People buy PS just for Killzone
Literally nobody does this
This. I was holding out till the new Pokemon game but after they said they wont even have all the pokemon then what's the fucking point? So much for catching them all right? What's their new phrase going to be? I'll stick to romming earlier gens every couple years for a nostalgia kick
I bought Crypt of the Necrodancer but I don't know when I'll play it. I was tempted to buy Hollow Knight and Cuphead but I have too much stuff to play. Do you think they'll ever get
>Megaman 11
>Crash NST
>Disgaea 5
>MHGU
>tons of indies
Gargle cum and then kill yourself
I bought Cuphead, and I regret it. Beat it, but it wasn't fun.
I bought Crypt of the Necrodancer, but I regret it. Creative premise, but not fun.
I bought Wargroove, and I just started it last night. We'll see how it turns out.
Haha, yes, seriously you should have bought it.
>ports I can get anywhere else that run better everywhere else
How magical.
Realistically would you even bother catching all 700-something Pokemon before you got bored? I don't agree with the choice but I understand why they didn't prioritize it.
NSO only costs 5 bux per year if you split a family plan. Grab some friends or like-minded individuals and everyone benefits.
Wouldn't you have less vouchers to buy in that case? Because you'd have to split with everyone else.
Got Necrodancer and Hollow Knight
>TH-THOSE DON'T COUNT!
Every single time.
Yes, I much preferred the simpler GB/GBA/DS stories with focus on completing a pokedex than the really bad anime of Sun/Moon and apparently Shield/Sword will have too.
The whole original premise is 'catch them all'. That's the pokemon identity. What the fuck is it now then?
Nah, waiting for collection of mana. The only issue is it comes out the same day classic WoW does...
Not that user but for me personally it's the excuses they're coming up with.
>ah well it was animations
why did they hype up and explain that they made models and animations for x/y that could be used for the 3DS and whatever came after it?
>no no MOVEMENT animations!
they made walking and running animations for all 800 some pokemon in USUM. They're in the game's data.
>oh well uh time constraints!
the game's been announced for years, and has been pushed back numerous times already. They don't have a valid excuse, and if they just said "We thought it would be nice to change it" I think there'd be a lot less fury.
>would you even bother catching all the pokemon
yes, that's the fucking point of the game. I do that in every game, I max out the regular dex, then I try to max out the national dex to the best of my ability.
Bought necrodancer, im good at timing but how the fuck do i know when enemies like a slime will attack
You also had less Pokemon to catch back in those days.
I'm honestly not sure, the official site doesn't specify if the vouchers are per account or per user. I'm under the assumption it's per user since being on a family plan doesn't link anyone's accounts at all.
the DS games still had 500+ pokemon to catch, and they managed to fit them all in.
So fucking cut the needlessly lame anime cutscenes for space and add more fucking pokemon
Only Crypt of the Necrodancer. I would have bought Doom if it was on sale here, but only Americans got it on sale.
Well, I'm sure they'll do an Ultra Sword or whatever in a year that has all the content so just wait and see if you have the itch for Pokemon then.
>BTFO
>j-j-just w-wait y-you'll see
Ah, so you're a child.
there was 33% sale for nintendo's own games, 50% or more for some others
You're the one pushing Pokemon without the Pokemon identity. I'd rather be a child than a corporate shill
Goo goo gaa gaa. Baby want bottle?
not even the same Person you're replying but fuck off and die in a fire u waste of oxygen
YIKES!
Anyone try Timespinner?
>get Bloodstained
I will
>get Hollow Knight
I have it
Oh fuck.
FFVII because I've never played it before
Overcooked 2 for hopefully comfy coop with my gf on vacation
Crypt of the Necrodancer because I had enough gold points
Probably gonna get it before Astral Chain and Daemon X Machina come out.
I'm sure they will too, but if this is the precedent they want to set I won't be buying it. And considering the one other game I was considering getting a switch for got a PC port recently (octopath) I'm just waiting on some good games, but I've also been waiting for the 3DS to stop getting revisions, and here we are 6 years in.
I forgot that was a thing and missed it. is that Verlet Swing any good?
Shantae and the Pirate's Curse and World of Final Fantasy Maxima, which is really fun
fuck you i'm not buying shit digital
Bought Hollow Knight, Last Remnant and Dandy Dungeon.
I'm weak.
Only Hollow Knight. I thought about buying WoFF Maxima, but I have too much games to play already. 50 digital games, haven't started half of them lol.
No but I bought the physical Hyrule Warriors.
Not even digital only games?
Most digital games on Switch are on PC so you can just pirate those.
I mean, I got minecraft when it was on sale but that's as far as I'm going. Yeah, I might get the digital only games, but nothing above 25€
3 good games and megaman 9
Serious question: why is Switch triggerign so many people?
You can see all kinds of shit in threads like this:
>lol, Switch sale, what is that
post just 2 days after the sale has ended
>Nincels only play Nintendo's games
but when you post everything else they respond with ''haha ports'' posts
>comfy is another way of saying boring
in 'what are you playing on your Switch threads, and much much more.
I mean, I'm not bothered with it. I'm used to it. But if those poeople don't like the Switch, why are they coming back to threads like this? Can't they, I don't know, make a thread about their favorite console and talk about it there?
Until recently, they all screamed how Nintendo fans are toxic and how they need their segregated board. But why? You know damn well they would still go to /n/intendo boards and do what they usually do. Because they can't live without Switch. That's the only reason why are they on Yea Forums, to shit on the console.
I finally grabbed M+R and Odyssey
I mean, it's not like they have any games to play
They simply crave attention.
Because people either dislike seeing other people have fun or wish Nintendo went third party so they'd bring their games to other systems
Some PC players are smug but aren't bad people
Most Xbros are cool and chill dudes
Almost all Snoys are toxic as fuck because they are insecure, it's social instinct to lower your "enemy" to feel better when there isn't much good going on your side.
Good snoys are the dudebros ones who buy playstation to play fifa and don't care about the rest of the insdustry or sonys who actually are idorts. Pure breed snoys are responsible for 60% of Yea Forums downfall.
They got really overconfident when the Wii U flopped so when the Switch was suddenly Nintendo's most successful console ever they lost their fucking minds.
Stardew Valley, Mario and Rabbids, and Crypt of the Necrodancer. I did not expect Stardew to be nearly as addicting as it is.
It's a Nintendo sale, you missed out on $5 off on launch titles no one cares about like 1-2 switch.
Only Doom, which I regret
I bought it as a novelty because I already have it on PC. I was curious to know how it ran in person.
The performance is quite solid, but I can't see shit because it's so low-res
Stardew Valley took over my life for a few weeks when I first got it. I wish I had someone to play multiplayer with.
1-2 Switch was not on sale.
They're shitposting, user.
Ah.
Same here.
man last remnant on switch must be horrible. AND it's the fucking garbage remaster that removes all the shit the pc version fixed.
I've heard that the remaster doesn't have the balancing PC has but I've never seen salsa. Do you have it?
>never seen salsa
what sort of source would you like? Any source I can point you to is just a list of the differences, the removal of BP tweaks, the changes to skill acquisition, and union fuckery. No one's bothered doing side by sides, it's a niche game.
Got 2. Gonna get Mario Maker 2, Daemon x Maquina and Astral Chain. Still waiting for the fire emblem reviews to decide if I'm getting it
Well, any. When I searched I found 360-PC comparisons, but nothing vs the remaster. I suck hard at finding info tho.
It's a garbage game, either way. Don't waste your time on it.
I bought Necrodancer. Nothing else really drew my attention.
I bought Mario Odyssey and I love it.
I know what I'm getting myself into, user.
I got some smaller games. Got katana zero which is really cool even though it wasn’t on sale. Spelunker Party which is great (50% off as well)
I played The Last Remnant on X360 and I like it.
I don't know how bad or good Switch version is compared to PC, but I'm 100% certain it can't be as bad as X360 version. As long as it doesn't have slowdowns during fights, I'm good!
>Spelunker Party which is great (50% off as well)
I really want to play that. How's it beyond the demo?
Any recommendations for games that still look good in handheld mode? I have a work trip and will be out of state next week. I was thinking Hollow Knight but I dont know how long it is.
>Maquina
Was this on purpose? Seems like an unlikely typo but I don't get the reference.
Maquina is how the latin word Machina turned in spanish. Just a confusion from our friend Juan.
His name is either Juan or João.
These fucking guys.
Wow, what the fuck? They did a remaster that REMOVES stuff? I guess it's Square so I shouldn't be surprised. Glad I have the original on Steam from some Humble Bundle or something.
OK, so can someone please explain what's the difference between PC and Switch version of The Last Remnant? If you answer with ''google it, you moron'' I will remain clueless Nincel who will still enjoy the game because, obviously, there are no changes.
The user's claim is still unfounded either way. Calm down, they're probably searching for it.
I made out pretty good. Another user helped me out about 2 threads ago.
>Stardew Valley
I sorta played it on PC pirate copy, but perhaps I wasn't really engaged much.
>Dead Cells
Wasn't going to get it at first, I'm not crazy about metroidvanias, and I never played rogue-like/lights either. But it looks like one could have a blast with it. why not?
>Necromancer
that zelda footage made me curious, and it was only $4
>Hollow Knight
I wasn't going to buy it, because meh-troidvanias, but it was $7. It's a steal.
The rest of the games, I wasn't too interested in, or were still too expensive. Goddamn nintendo tax.
Man it gets even better. The demo sold me on it
I don't want to change out the cart. I like owning digital for the india titles at least. Also my friend can play them with account sharing. But I agree with you.
Your friend can play them with cart sharing too, Switch is Nintendo's first cartridge-based system where the data is not saved to the cart.
why do you think this is exclusive to Switch threads
>Your friend can play them with cart sharing too, Switch is Nintendo's first cartridge-based system where the data is not saved to the cart.
??? I don't think you can share the kart user? this is only for digital titles?
>I bought Crypt of the Necrodancer, but I regret it. Creative premise, but not fun.
I actually had more fun switching to the Bard character, which disables the rhythm mechanic.
It's a shame, because there's some merit to the idea, it just needs a lot more development and finesse.
>Necro
Had hallow knight but holy fuck is Crypt kicking my ass, is this common? Or do I just suck at patterns, I just finished level 1.
No, you actually can. Try it.
Niiice. I'll probably get it when it drops below 50%.
Not that user, but aren't you supposed to download their stuff from the eShop? My friend owns a physical BoTW and I don't see that option.
What?
Try it with the Danganronpa music. This does not change the gameplay at all but improves the game significantly due to the music being Danganronpa music.
Did you just mean sharing the physical cart
this, my friend has a mario party cartridge and i can't access it as far as i know
Yes. What did you think I meant?
>I just finished level 1.
You're doing better than me. I can't into bosses at all.
Crypt of the Necrodancer (it was like 80% off I think?) and Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate (willl be my first game in this series)
No. My switch is hacked
Not really
Mario Odyssey, Hyrule Warriors, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, and Hollow Knight.
Also bought Breath of the Wild + Mario Maker 2 with that voucher deal, since BotW wasn't on sale.
I now regret spending hundreds of dollars on games, but at least I'm done now until Metroid Prime 4 comes out.
dark souls and crypt of the necrodancer
>zoomers buying digital games with no resell value
die
>resell value of a $4 game
What are you, poor?
>reselling games
No thanks, i'll keep my 2 copies of ps4 ntsc gravity rush in its pristine, unopened state. Their value just keep rising and rising.
Can I have one?
I have never sold a game in my life.
Same. It's just not worth it.
The only time I've ever sold a game is if it came bundled as part of something and I either had no interest in it or I already owned a copy.
Bought them in the amazon mexican store for the equivalent of $30 bucks per game. By that time they were already sold out in the american store, but i think spic bros got a batch of that game for their store.
Lucky for me, mexicans only play fifa and king of fighters games.
