I have repasted half a dozen GPUs and never seen any "thermal rubber", not even in the NVIDIA cards that had that "vapor chamber" bullshit. A GPU die is cooled nearly exactly the same way as a CPU die: some paste marrying an IHS to a copper heatplate that is connected to an aluminum heatsink.

Additionally, every time I've repasted an old GPU the temps have fallen 10-20c. You are retarded.

Put together this whenever the 1080 first came out, got a 7700k with it. The i7 is at 4.8ghz, the 1080 is set for slightly over 2ghz, I get mid 50s on both when i'm pushing the system but that's because I run my fans at 600rpm. I keep meaning to pull it apart for cleaning and redoing some tubing but it just keeps working without issues.Keep trying to talk myself out of upgrading since I hardly play AAA games anymore, last one was Sekiro and before that was RE2 but outside of that i emulate and play indie shit. Gonna upgrade for Cyberpunk, gonna wait to see what AMD has once it's in consumers hands. Hoping we get a 3080ti by then as well.

Depending on the game I do like to play at 4k/60/maxed. If it's a KB&M game I play on my 1440p ultrawide @ 100hz but for something like Sekiro I switch over to my 4k OLED and play with a Xbone controller. Couldn't keep Sekiro locked at 60 @4k regardless of settings. Meanwhile RE2remake ran locked 60@4k.

Ideally I wanna get a 4k/120 TV, after playing at 100hz going back to 60 feels like slowmo. Not even trying to be a faggot but for a lot of games the higher frame rate makes all the difference in the world.

This is meant to trap the heat generated from whatever heating method you use during winter. However, the walls also heat up during summer. When the sun shines extremely long and the outer surface of the outer wall gets extremely hot, the heat will eventually spill into the insulated hollow space between the walls. This makes it extremely hard for wind to flow through multiple opened windows in a house when there's little to no air movement outside. It's almost impossible to ventilate modern houses here with opened windows.

There's a buffer you turd, that's why there is no air movement. You can have 35°C inside and 20°C outside yet the air refuses to move even if you open everything, doors and windows. Which makes consecutive days with 30+° literal hell, one day isn't so bad because it stays pretty cool and nice inside, but once the walls are heated up you need at least 2-3 days of much lower temperature to get the heat out.

They feel only cool on your skin because your sweat evaporates faster, cooling it down. Fans in your room actually make the room hotter, which means they make your PC hotter as well.
