Just picked up the first two for my 3DS yesterday, what am I in for?
Jacob Phillips
>Western dev
...oh no
Camden Myers
Honestly, I love how the game looks. I was a huge fan of the first and second one. On the second one me and a friend cleared the highest difficulty with the largest tower. It was a fucking blast.
Only thing is I don't like the slam move. I might be wrong but it looks like you just spam it and it doesn't look as fun as just sucking a whole group up. Maybe if slamming made Luigi turn 180 degrees Everytime, you couldn't just spam it and it would have strategies like.... Slam the guy who's in the corner so you're now facing 4 guys and sucking. But I'll probably still like the game
But that's the thing. You just spam slam on the same spot over and over again. If Luigi had to keep whipping back and forth I think it would be better. But I will have to wait and see how it plays out. Like if just straight sucking ends up being better DPS in the end I'd be happy

>give Metroid to jap devs >it sucks dick so much they have to can it and seek help from the westerners
Plus the original game was a junk glorified tech demo.
Sebastian King
>Punch-Out!! Wii dev Oh yeah
Wyatt Johnson
The game looks amazing thus far user, plus Game Freak and Intelligent Systems are Japanese devs and they're terrible.
Isaac Robinson
Looking forward to it then, I like Luigi and it helps my 3DS and Switch library grow while also expanding my horizons a bit. Gotta get out of just playing Mario and shit
Nicholas Thomas
>western dev >they completely 100% understand all western critique of Dark Moon, listen to it, and implement it in the following game Notice how this rarely, if ever, happens to any Nintendo franchises headed by Jap devs. It takes NoA yelling at the gooks with an interpreter for them to realize something is amiss with their burger fans.
I hope the 6th floor is 80s Disco themed. The neon lights remind me of vaporwave.
Brody Garcia
Did anyone make a Queen Booette version of King Boo being FUCKING PISSED yet
Wyatt Lee
In 2, he was called by E. Gadd to deal with the ghosts in the first place, so at least he knew what he was getting into but he still got captured.
Leo Ramirez
fuck off
Camden Cooper
The game looks really good visually. My guess is that they had a pretty good looking game back when they were making it for the Wii U, and the extra power from moving on to the Switch allowed them to focus on extra visual effects mostly.
William Jenkins
>E. Gadd calling Mario
Big Brain move
Cameron Carter
yes
with a john travolta ghost
Elijah Thompson
So is that female dressing room area supposed to be the Elevator Lady’s floor or another female ghost
Here's an unpopular opinion for you, I don't like how all the floors have to be themed after certain things just so they can be unique. I'd much rather all of the building was just a generic hotel because weird things like a floor that's overgrown with foliage ruins the atmosphere for me. I also disliked it in Dark Moon how the other mansions weren't just run of the mill mansions.
Because Nintendo probably threatens to put the Yakuza on them if they make Nintendo look bad.
Austin Bennett
it would become repetitive if the level theme remained the same for the entire game. different level themes also allow a larger variety of puzzles/challenges. only reason the first game got away with one mansion theme was because it was really short.
Connor Gonzalez
>it would become repetitive if the level theme remained the same for the entire game. That's what most people think, and I understand why it's the majority opinion, but I don't agree. I wouldn't find it tedious if the entire building was just a normal hotel.
Hudson Wood
Classic luigis mansion style floor would be neat.
Eli Gutierrez
I'm with you on this one. I liked the theme of the mansion. It's like when i was playing resident evil 2, i was a bit sad when leaving the police station for the sewers, even if you can go back up if you want.
