it's fucking impossible
Mantis Lord
First phase is easy, second phase just don't try to hit the first one, it's a decoy always go for the second.
As long as you understand the fight is not that hard.
They are easy as fuck dude, git gud.
They're one of the easier bosses in the game.
Their fight has an incredibly easy rhythm, and it's mostly just about finding that rhythm and learning when you can heal. Hint: Its when they throw the boomerangs.
Another tip is that you can just come back later. If you beat Hornet, which you did to even get here, you can do these guys.
Better hint: top left of the arena is a blue health spot. Hit the wall. Dont engage them as you walk into the room, just keep going and wall jump up.
it's getting to the boss which pisses me off more desu. i'm terrible at wall jumping across spikes. are there any upgrades or charms I should get? only have default nail + 5 hearts
You're not going to make it past the NTR lord of poorly timed trips and shockwaves
I'm sorry, feel free to deposit your women and dignity in front of the statue, because you will lose them regardless.
Don't rush, you'll lose more health than anything, don't let the frustration get to you
That boss fight was fucking awesome
best boss fight in the game but it shouldn't take you more than three tries max
Just upgrade your nail bro
They are completely optional
If you can’t beat this, good luck defeating the Godhome version where all 3 are attacking at the same time...
The first time or the tenth?
There's a difference.
I hit a sweet spot of fun at the fourth or so
Can't you open shortcuts to bypass most of the obstacles?
Yeah, obviously not the tenth but i'd say the same after 3 or 4 i had enough
mantis lords are piss easy you casual fuck just jump over them and stop being an impatient retard.
Literally one of the most fun fights in the game.
Best fight (nightmare version ofc)
He broke me. He was the one who made me say "I'm done with Godmaster, I'm just not good enough." Sure I could beat him sometimes, but it was always hard, and I'd always skim by with only a few health left, and no soul, and I'd basically be finished off the next fight.
Some bosses you learn and they become trivial, you're bored to tears any time you have to fight them.
Zote on the other hand always gets my heart beating. His pattern can always change.
how?
if you think these are impossible, stop playing the game right now 'cause you won't finish it anyway.
Mantis Lords are optional, I don't know the specifics but you can upgrade your Nail in the bottom left area of City of Tears.
I got the gold statue and the radiant dot and I don't feel like I've mastered him in a meaningful way.
This bitch is a close second for being the hardest boss to do hitless.
Once you eventually beat them you'll be like "huh that wasn't so hard actually"
There are much harder bosses later in the game
I always hear people say how hard this game is, but I haven't died more than once on any boss so far, up to City of Tears. Does it get harder later on?
I got the game on ps4, but i'd like to know on a scale of 1 to 10 how comfy the switch version is?
LITERALLY impossible
DLC bosses are the hardest imo, but the game definitely increases in difficulty as you go on, but DLC really spikes the difficulty compared to the rest of the game
11
beating the game isnt hard but trying to get to 112% is very hard
Much harder. The 3 final bosses will maul you to death. City of Tears is the start of the game my dude. Everything you've done so far has been a straight line tutorial.
Is the DLC all post game, or is it sprinkled throughout?
>stay on ground
>hit projective grubs
>cast scream
>go to 2
Once you've unlock the content you can do whenever
god dammit, guess i'll pay for it again Switch and metroidvanias ae a deadly fucking combo for my wallet
sprinkled throughout I guess, but mostly late game.
FUCK the Lost Kin
Is the DLC confusing to unlock like Bloodborne, or will I know it when I see it? Also, are there any missable NPC quests or things like that?
just fucking learn their pattern..
All the attacks are the same.
git gud
You can't miss [most of] it.
Three of the early (somewhat) bosses have dream world versions which get considerably tougher
Traitor Lord can be pretty annoying since it has an AoE attack that covers the entire arena and can't be jumped over
The two final bosses and their godmaster versions are tough as shit. Godmaster in general will kick your ass repeatedly. Grimm too.
You can consider White Palace and Path of Pain bosses too
They're optional, brainlet. Go to city of tears.
*jumps straight at you*
>just don't try to hit the first one, it's a decoy always go for the second.
If you're quick enough you can easily hit both of them while taking no damage
Nothing is missable in the game besides 1 ending that you should do straight away, which is just defeating the final boss and seeing the credits. This becomes missable due to the "true ending" affecting the boss fight, making the first ending missable.
Otherwise, the DLC is "slightly" absurd to unlock. Mostly behind some breakable walls if you arent too keen on finding them.
The first one is behind 3 consecutive breakable walls, similar to Ash Lake in Dark Souls 1.
Second one is mostly a key you need to find, if you somehow used up the rest of them, which is in a slightly absurd location you'd never come back to once completing it, also behind a breakable wall, with a little miniboss. If you already have a spare key, you wouldn't need to find it.
For the most part, you'll know something is up when you see these two DLC locations. They're peculiar compared to everything else.
i beat this game and i've never seen this boss
Sure, but it's more of a safe strat, especially when you feel overwhelmed by the boss
It sucks that you can't fast travel to the entrance to Godhome. At least the Grimm Troupe has the decency of moving their camp to the town
Mantis lord is the first challenging boss.
I hate him so much.
>beat mantis lords
>mantis village becomes peaceful, mantises bow and the say how much they respect you when dream nailed
if you didn't 112% did you really beat the game?
I wish there was a hard mode that wasn't steel soul
There are scarier things in the DLC than a bug who trips
Troupe is spread out from mid to end
Dreams is late game
Godmaster is mid game in theory, but realistically you'll do it all at the end
the dream warrior fights are all piss easy
I hope Silksong will have something as fun as the dream nail.
use a controller it makes the game easy mode
I hope it will have a fire level and a water/ice level
cause caves and forest is nice but it gets old when it's all you ever see
Have you tried Ascended Markoth ?
Have you tried Radiant Markoth ?
Hornet can actually talk, so she could bind enemies and try to talk to them.
I haven't bothered much with the godmaster fights, I've only replayed some of my favorite bosses a couple times
I admire the people who beat all the pantheons with the bindings and shit but that just ain't for me. I'll never fight absolute radiance or pure vessel
But will we be able to lasso of truth people?
Prying into every bug's inner most thoughts and secrets was just so exciting.
The dream nail was a better narrative device then just talking.
But I don't think they will reuse it, because doing that would kind of devalue the knight having it.
myla
Yes, and I didn't get to them. Bosses like Nightmare King Grimm that are 100% just muscle memorization are fine; I can autistically grind those out. Any sort of randomness or uncertainty, I just fall apart.
>I hope it will have a fire level
Deep Docks is pretty much a fire level
This was unnecessary.
yeah but I'd like something like a volcano
FUCK the sun.
wow you are bad at the game
>save Bretta
>see her sleeping on the bed
>mfw using the dream nail
Perhaps my favorite thing about hollow knight from a sort of meta perspective is just beating the game isnt super hard im struggling to think of what REQUIRED boss is hardest. All the hard bosses are optional. Kind of a neat idea for game design. Nightmare king Grimm is far and away the hardest boss in the game so far hes also second place.
That final boss battle sequence was just absolutely splendid. A genuine "No way!?" moment.
Even though I kind of sort of anticipated it, I stil felt taken aback. Like those mad men actually did it.
I had much more trouble with Soul Master, who was before Mantis Lords (at least I think, I just started and don't know the normal progression)
So fucking cool. Plus the extra payoff at the end of Godmaster.
I hope Silksong has a similar long tail to it, they did a fantastic job with all the extra content they added to Hollow Knight.
>Actually saving Zote
Why? All he does is bring you misery
Ignore 'Git Gud' posters
Upgrade the Nail
Then Git Gud
I did it on my first try :)
I mean you can basically beat the main story at what, 25 or 30% completion?
1) I didn't know he'd shit on me and cuck me out of the ugly girl bug and finally fuck me in the pantheon.
2) I crave misery.
My steel soul speedrun completed at 14%
>everyone talks about how awesome Hollow Knight is
>also talk about how much they struggle with it
Is the struggle really worth it?
Honestly, a lot of Hollow Knights gameplay comes from the "eureka" moment of finally gitting gud and defeating a boss you struggled with for so long. It has a VERY good feedback loop with it's combat. Once something clicks, it clicks forever and you only go higher from there.
>read how ungodly hard he's supposed to be
>decide to take the plunge
>beat him in less than an hour
>meanwhile spend 9 hours on Path of Pain, dying to the guards at the end twice
>Casualfags will never know the true kino moment hearing this tune
m.youtube.com
>>>also talk about how much they struggle with it
Those people are shit at video games, like game journalist shit. I would consider myself at an average skill level and I have beaten the game (not the DLC's tho)
The base game of Hollow Knight, aka the combat, but also the exploration, the sidequests and the general world, is what hooked people in. It's tough but not anything extremely difficult once you get down to it, besides a couple parts.
The struggle mostly come from the DLC content, which are very fight-focused.
Reverse for me. I found platforming very easy in hollow knight.
It's worth it if you enjoy the aesthetics, the exploration, the characters and the lore
It's not inhumanly difficult, but it is a fairly challenging game especialy for someone who's not used to having their reflexes and reaction times tested.
The main game and story takes some figuring but you'll get through it if you have a brain. The Godmaster stuff ranges from pretty tough to insane to straight up fucking stupid tier (but the stupid stuff doesn't really do anything but give you a nice shiny checkmark).
Basically, the struggle goes as deep as you want it to go.
I'm so close bros, give me your strength
Watcher Knights is probably the hardest required boss
There is more to it besides hitting your face against the wall until you learn and can rape any boss on autopilot.
The world is interesting, the levels are beautiful and freeflowing. There are characters and choices which are not telegraphed as such. If you pay attention the story is there to understand (except mr mushroom who's a joke at the expense of deeplore).
But once you experience it all you're left playing the bosses in boss rush mode and you become a bit focused on that.
It's not just a game about being hardcore. But it can be if you want it to be and imo it's fun at it.
The base game is really not that hard. It's so open ended that the difficulty never really spikes or ramps up in any way. The DLC (at least the bosses) is infinitely more hard by comparison.
Based and dedicated.
No way there were so easy.
Dude what.
It’s not impossible at all, just pay attention. Don’t sperg out and start mashing buttons.
>Radiant markoth
Use the nailmaster charm. Fucking seriously. Dash slash will havays hurt him.
Also soul eater. Fit in shaman stone/spell twister as well. Fill up your soul tank, then nuke him when he pulls out his second shield
Good luck user. Good fucking luck
ANYTHING that does two masks damage is bullshit.
Getting the normal ending is piss easy, its all the post game stuff that is very hard.
If you go straight through it without doing many upgrades and whatnot then the hardest boss is probably the last.
Am I the only one making the connection between dune and hollow knight?
Worms that see the future.
>Only four bosses deal double damage
>Lace, one of the early bosses of silksong deals double damage
Boi, you in for a ride
>Complete the game with the bonfire mod; thinking it made things easier
>Go back and play the game again
>Go without mods since it should make it harder
>First hour or so think "Yeah, this is a bit tougher. Hopefully I can handle the late game."
>Several hours later I'm stomping on bosses and enemies like they're nothing
>Do some quick number crunching
>Bonfire makes the enemies health scale at a rate higher than you could possibly scale your damage
>Unknowingly completed godmaster in what was essentially a Bethesda equivalent of a 'Very Hard' difficulty
confession time
I never could beat radiance so I gave up and settled for the sealed siblings ending
I haven't gotten a single ending, I
just grind pantheon.
I watched every ending on youtube.
I wikied mr mushroom.
Pretty sure Pure Vessel and Absolute Radiance are the hardest bosses, though NKG would definitely be third.
How the fuck do I beat Nightmare Grimm?
I'm trying to do the speed completion achievement
Any tips on watcher knights?
should I go out of my way to get upgrades, charms, etc. or just face them without upgrading. I'm trying to beat them without wasting too much time on them
git gud
don't punish him too hard, just poke
>speed completion
my bad, I meant the speedrun 2 achievement
>learn patterns
>dodge first, hit later
>try to stay in the center of the arena
I was able to beat him without getting hit quickly doing that
Cute, fluffy moff sun.
Bapa
nada
Mothposters begone and take your shitty "god" with you
It's been said a billion times in the past but treat it like a ballet dance. Wait for him to move first, then move. Don't ever chase him, just stay in the center and react to everything he does. At first just try to dodge everything, once you learn how to dodge everything learn when you can get a swing in. Usually you can only get a single hit in per move so build your charms around that.
Based and kingpilled.
it sounds more like fafanada to me
>Usually you can only get a single hit in per move
This is the skill level of a typical paletard. Praise the sun today.
I’m not even a git gud faggot but holy shit you may want to consider a different hobby. Mantis Lords are amongst the easiest boss in the game
It gets worse.
*crack* DOSA
>tfw you died to SoB once so you are no longer get to call yourself a good player
Still mad.
Mantis Lord has 3 fucking attacks
>falls from above
>dash away and get 2 hits in
>charges from the side
>move to opposite end, jump over, get at least one hit in
>attacks from wall
>if you have any soul shoot him while dodging the circle. Remember it also comes back at you
If you can’t manage that, shit nigger
I really fucking hated this game in the beginning. I fucking hated it. I didn't like how I didn't know where to go without a map.
But I fucking loved it after getting the map like 30 mins in or whatever it was. Looking forward to the sequel.
I still disagree with the decision to not fill out the map as you progress and only give you the details when you find a savepoint.
>finishing absolute radiance before white defender
how the hell did you pull this off
This fight is easy as fuck though
Think the knight will be a void god in the new game ?
How are people STILL strugging with this game? Sekiro was 100 times more difficult. You did beat Sekiro, right OP?
For your problem you want to do crystal wastes and get the wallhanging / flying to other side once charged upgrade. As for the fight itself you should have found the movement upgrade in the village itself.
when 80% of Yea Forumss users were born in 2004, it make sense that one of the few games to come out in the last decade with any semblance of challenge comes along they’d all lose their collective shit
>blocks your path
I doubt he will make an appearance.
We may find his origin.
I'm stuck at the Grey Mourner quest, any tips?
Most enemies don't respawn unless you sit on a bench. So if you are a shitter, just clear the path in advance and do the quest without resting.
The nigger stumped me for a while
*evades your easily memorizable pattern*
Use trams.
Set a gate at her house.
Fuck him for killing Cloth;_;
Git gud. You can hit both and still avoid damage.
Holy crap you just unlocked the entire game's secret
Quick, send this hot news to Gamefaqs, they need to update the tips section
> a boss designed to punish quick focus shitters
Based and radiantpilled.
tfw realizing saving her earlier sealed her fate
What is wrong with quick focus? I never had a problem healing during Traitor Lord
>these previous posts
What the fuck all you had to do was void dash, this was a boss I beat first try and I broke a controller at Watcher Knights.
all the trams suck though
>What is wrong with quick focus?
The fact that is allows retards like you to facetank though every boss in the game without learning the patterns.
if you didn't want me to heal, why give me the option to heal?
if you didn't want me to heal faster, why did you give me an item that let's me heal faster?
why are you punishing me, game, for using the techniques you gave me?
YOU FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK
I facetanked every boss in the game and there is nothing you can do about it.
>magine getting so upset over a moth el oh el.
The tram to crossroads is useful for the quest.
What does mothpussy feel like voidbros?
Dusty and dry
I hope you're not suggesting that all bosses follow a deterministic pattern. You'd look like a fucking retard if you were.
>imagine supporting moth communism
The Pale King was the canonical winner moth fag.
Base game isn't hard, it's the added stuff from DLC that can be ballbusting hard at times
The DLC boarders on autistic at times
It's not all her moves that do double damage
>equip generic charm setup
>spam jump attack and hit both the little shiters and boss till it dies
How was this hard again?
Wow that Grey Mourner quest was actually a lot easier than I thought it'd be, guess I just needed some sleep.
Having to beat 42 bosses in one go gets rather tedious if you fuck up.
Also beating all bosses on 3 difficulties.
There's tons of shit to do, but it really doesn't feel all that rewarding in the end.
If you've beaten all bosses on radiant you'll probably beat PoH in 2-3 runs tho.
Not that much of waste of time
This boss is so goddamn easy because of the shade cloak.
Yeah, it's the reason why i don't give much of a shit about Godhome, never liked much boss rushes
>beat that horrible chad dream zote 4 times to free that fat chick from her autistic delusions
>she doesn't suck my dick before she leaves
this is the ultimate beta experience
>spend 50-80 hours beating all bosses on radiant to get a shitty non canon ending.
No thanks. The first 4 pantheons were fun and all, but i'm not going to do all that shit.
He should be easy because that's basically the tutorial boss for the shade cloak.
he is literally the only boss in the game I couldn't beat.
she could do with a delicate flower
You're not supposed to take on them on that early stage, you silly fuck, Quirrel fucking tells you that.
Go elsewhere and explore, get more nail upgrades, more masks and more charms.
I'm telling this for your own sake, user, they are guarding the door to a dreadful place, if you cant beat them, you won't survive a minute what's on the other side of the door
You had been warned
Just beat it. Along with Failed Champion and Watcher Knights, which have been fucking crushing me for ages.
Today was a good day.
Grimm and the White Palace bullshit is up next. It never ends, does it?
Just beat lost kin on radiant, a good end of the night.
See you in the dream world lads.
Play Bloodstained my fellow bugbros. It's one of the few big metroidvanias that's been released these past few years.
Sisters of Battle gonna CLEAVE your ringpiece.
I'll wait for reviews and word of mouth.
It's on my radar.
This fight is so good it made the rest of the game dull in comparison.
Recommend me metrodvanias, I tried La mulana but gave up halfway through, not hard , just obnoxious.
There are so many bosses in the game you can just run up and whack to death, abusing the invincibility frames without even using that charm for it.
Playing for the first time and the hardest part of the game is the FUCKING BUZZSAW'S FUUUUUUCK
Yes I looked up how to get 100% deal with it
Axiom Verge
Just beat Mawlek, it wasn't too difficult, but Jesus Christ is there any way to avoid the attack where he shoots out multiple blobs? The first couple of times I noticed there was a small gap where blobs were going to fall so I stood there, but after that there was no such gap and no conceivable way to not get hit
Jump and dash over him
You're required to have the dash to get to him anyway
>Fangamer finally release a NKG shirt
>It has the Knight on it, ruining the whole look
Momodora: Reverie Under the Moonlight
An Untitled Story
Or just stand close to him and slam his ass
>all the fujos thirsting after Grimm
Oh, I just looked up a video and I didn't realize he just stood there after he shot them out. I thought he would've just clawed at me if I got close, like he did when he was shooting out single blobs
You can get 112% without beating Pantheon of Hallownest. So even people that hide behind their max percentage might not have truly beaten the game. Only a single percentage of all players beat the PoH. Of course I imagine the actual clear rate is much lower because the PC version has a trainer that allows you every kind of cheat imaginable. I can easily believe a good portion of PoH clears are Godmode assisted.
Dracula Bug, Man. What do you expect?
>first playthrough
>find the mantis lords before upgrading my nail
>"Come back later, kid"
>Fuck you
>Die a dozen more times like an idiot
>The next time I'm up against them I manage to take one down while they were both attacking
>The other one nothin' personnels me in my moment of triumph
>This time the whole screen shakes as I die and when I respawn at the bench the screen continues to shake like nothing I've never seen before.
> Moments after I get off the bench, the shaking stops
> Make my way back to the Mantis chamber
> Mope over to challenge spot
>Prompt is not there.
>Mantises bow and gate opens
I've felt cheated out of that win ever since, no matter how many times I beat them legit after.
Getting it on the switch next week. I’ll be going on vacation 3 days after it releases on switch so it’ll be nice for the plane ride and while sitting in the hotel room
>dying to the guards at the end twice
I am so fucking happy that didn't happen to me, but fuck me was it close. One more hit and it would've been over.
>mfw I see people saying they got through it in 1 hour
Literally how the fuck
Did Deepnest wooped your ass after?
As soon as I heard the first sfx of spiders crawling I fucking bolted.
>tfw don't want to spend time learning NKG's telegraphs so I just quit at 107%
Gotchu senpai
>just did it on my second try
Granted I had already upgraded my nail. Git gud scrub.
Though I am currently stuck on the Brooding Mawlek.
>can't beat mawlek with upgraded nail
>telling others to git gud
Don't be mean to me the Mawlek is harder than the Mantis Lords
Just beat Radiance 4 hours ago. Not even gonna attempt Godhome or NKG because that shit is gonna destroy me. Regardless, as someone who is not great at video games, feeling real proud of myself
>not even DOSA
Godmaster made NKG the new casual filter
Most wise
Super Metroid
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night
NKG is far harder than SoB.
>mfw beat him pre-buff and never have to fight him again
bot him, but thanks
>what is godmaster
I have the game on Switch and I haven't patched it since release which means Godmaster content is prenerf. I'm finally going to go for that content tomorrow after having done pretty much everything else in the game. Wish me luck.
>people says Nightmare Grimm is incredibly difficult
>beaten in 30 minutes
>meanwhile I wasted my entire existence on the dream version of this guy and his fucking retarded ghosts
Guess everyone has their own autism
Salt and Sanctuary
Ori if just want to have fun
I've only really just started since I beat the Hollow Knight at the Weekend. I'm at 64% completion at the moment. Where do I go from here?
God thank fuck for Bloodstained. I almost offed myself when they didn't announce a Silksong release date.
yeah I beat dream vessel on my first try and NKG is too fast for me. A cheese build I've seen is stacking all of the summon charms you have and then just focusing on dodging/killing ghosts
Parts of the map that you havent uncovered, ofcourse.
have you found the area of the map with the colosseum? Go looking around there
I've yet to do anything in the CoF, does anything specific beyond %completion being visible open up with post-game?
>You're required to have the dash to get to him anyway
You can reach him by pogoing off the spikes.
New endings, upgrades, a real final boss, more
HK is the first metrodvania game I have played in my life, loved it and got 112%, can anyone recommend any other one?
SOTN is a must-play.
Bloodstained.
Join in on the hype train.
Get the upgraded nail, the one you don't need the ore for. Learn to dodge their attacks and get as many hits in as possible. There's no good easy way to be them at that point, I'm afraid.
I beat it my first try and thought everyone was memeing cause it looked cool. Do people go to the fight early or something?
In my run I skipped swimming upgrade and went for shadow cloak, trust me its worth it, specially if you rely on it in your normal playthrough.
this was designed to make you suffer
>Literally how the fuck
Lots and lots of Super Meatboy. Path of Pain is nothing compared to The Kid levels.
Best version to play?
PS4 version is probably the easiest to play and has a better translation, so either that one or the PS1 version. Either's good.
The Messenger
>20 bucks for a ps1 game
I hate the greediness of digital games
mediafire.com
Every CV game up to and including SOTN in a retroarch package. 20 bucks is worth it for Rondo and SOTN since they're great games, but not when they're freely available elsewhere
Literally one of the easier (but very enjoyable) fights. I saw everyone hyping it as something very difficult but beat it on the 2nd or 3rd try. Be patient, there's many options to deal damage and you can even heal when they do the spinning nail throw.
Thanks senpai, I would buy digital games if they werent such a big fucking rip off.
How the fuck do I beat Nosk bros. I just put in a solid hour of attempts and had to take a breather
I lost to them the first time we fought... and honestly the second time too because i was not expecting that after you defeated one the others would join the fry (though it was kind of obvious).
Still, once you learn the attack patterns and with the right charms they become quite easy. I think i used two. The one that poisons the air around you when you charge the one that charges the mana pool when you get hit. Can´t remember if i had long nail or not. With those it was quite easy.
The ones actually giving me trouble are the rolling bugs guarding the upper levels of the city. They still trash me even though i have the long nail and have visited all the masters...
You jump and hit down. Thats it.
It's equal parts pattern recognition and reaction time.
Hug the left wall of the little hill in the middle. He ALWAYS will walk over you and you can get a ton of free hits in, just watch out for the ceiling attack.
Just get shadow cloak.
The game's one, true bullshit boss.
cool bait
She was a warrior, and literally reveled in combat. Dying while fighting the traitor is how she wanted to go out. Having learned this, it makes the moment all the better.
His pattern is easy, but sometimes he just likes to randomly walk into you
>able to beat Pure Vessel in the hall of gods, without taking a hit no less
>can't even get into his second phase during his pantheon fight
Bros, I just can't handle the pressure. Knowing that I literally lose like a half hour of progress if I die, it breaks my concentration.
The fifth pantheon is this cunt and AR, everything else is just noise
You're meant to fight Soul Master first, but a lot of people (including myself) go for the Mantis Lords as soon as possible anyways
Nah, it's actually pretty alright. I just reached the Watcher Knights and they're way worse - not just harder but more bullshit and less fun.
playing it now and it's very very comfy
Playing through Bloodstained makes me glad that Silksong has an Dawn of Sorrow-esque system for its new charm system.
Holy fuck you're like a little baby
Beat this first try. git gud
FUCK MOTHS
I'm trying to get full silver in Godhome but this nigger makes me want to quit, any strategies?
>beat the watcher knights with one mask remaining in steel soul mode
I don't remember any other vidya moment ever making me feel so excited
>missed mantis lords entirely on my first run and fought them at endgame with a pure nail
ez pz
does allowing him to die delete him from the pantheon without locking it away?
All Bindings Zote>>>>>>Radiant Absolute Radiance>All Bindings Absolute Radiance>Radiant Zote
I prefer Pure Vessel desu
>me on Steel Soul mode
>Hah it's just flukemarm I can beat him easily
>wait FUCK I don't have shade cloak or the upgraded scream
Killed by FUCKING Flukemarm.
zote is rough but he's nowhere near Absolute Radiance imho famalam
jesus that sounds stressful
any tips for killing watcher knights for the first time? I'm done for tonight but I'll be back to working on it tomorrow.
I didn't do mantis lords til i had spiral nail and killed a dreamer.
I kept blowing it off because there was always something new to explore.
Fuck lost kin and fuck rng mobs spawning infront of you.
I just beat Radiant AR twice in a row to relax after failing All bindings Pantheon of the Sage 20 times in a row. I beg to fucking differ, non-one shotable zotelings are fucking CANCER
>that second spoiler
N-Nani?
I have every single achievement in the game besides the last Pantheon and I had no idea about that either. What a fucking game.
listen carefully when they're off-screen
if you hear them smashing the floor, they're going to be bouncing and you need to dash to avoid
if you just hear a WHIIIIIIIIIIR, they'll be sliding, so you need to jump
also, pogo works extremely well against them if you can pull it off. just remember to run the fuck away the moment they turn into a ball during your pogo, because they're going to bounce
Dude I can't even fathom beating AR radiant but I practiced radianting zote for the fifth pantheon. I could not do markoth consistently, or come out with high health so I just got really good at zote so I wouldn't have to worry.
I guess just whats hard is different for certain people
How do you die to flukewarm?
Doesn't it just spawn the same shitter?
mobs over and over?
babagondala
Thanks, I'll see if I can get it tomorrow
Panic makes you do stupid, stupid mistakes, and those divebomb shits can take your hearts off really quickly if you let too many of them spawn.
All bindings at the same time sounds extremely unfun, but I guess that's what is left to do once you everything else.
In case u haven’t, there is a secret breakable ceiling right before the room where you can break a chandelier that falls and kills one of the knights, reducing the amount u have to kill.
Hollow Knight is a solid 7/10 game and nothing more.
>every area looks and feels the same
>repetitive gloomy ominous vomit music
>backtracking galore
>inexplicably can't warp between benches
>stag stations so horribly placed it's often faster to walk across the entire map
>map only updates when you rest, why isn't there a charm to do this?
>glitch where the game doesn't read jump input STILL HASN'T BEEN FIXED
>incomprehensible story
>interesting places like the beehive are tiny
>awful places like Deepnest go on forever
Prove me wrong
>protip, you can't
>trying to get the 5 hour achievement while doing steel soul
That was a bad idea.
There's no way this is true.
>it's fucking true
Why would you ever need more than 5 hours for standard Steel Soul?
I've learned to always bring full soul into AR's second phase and take the phase WAY more patient, as well as mastering a guaranteed safe method for the climb. She's so much more relaxing now.
Markoth isn't made all that harder by All Bindings, just dash slash for good safe damage.
Collector and Zote though, constant minions are aggravating when you can't one shot them. Though I clear Collector 80% of the time now, Zote is another story.
>La mulana
>gave up halfway
Ahhh, the shitter filter is working.
I've done that, but thanks
If all five notches on your Godtuner aren't glowing did you REALLY beat the game?
I could never get phase 2 AR consistent, every other phase I can do very consistently, but man that dude fucks me u p
Hornet was really hard for me (both Times) while the dream bosses were straight forward.
New nosk was the most annoying tho
Took me like 50 minutes to beat it, really after beaten his normal counterpart i thought he will be easy.
If that slut goes to either extreme of the arena, just wait that volley out. Then practicing weaving between her balls of light until they become a non issue is paramount.
>they seem to be addressing this in the sequel
>I don't even
>They were trying to make the world feel large, and travel be meaningful. They succeeded, for better or worse
>same
>same
>fog of war, bitch
>I don't believe I've ever encountered this
>I'd agree that it's difficult to follow from the game alone
>see point 1
>I am also not fond of deepnest
Thanks, just looked that up. Can´t believe i missed that whole part. Thought i was stuck there for good. Haven´t played in months.
The hardest for me that was vampire nigger in the circus tent that appears in town. You'll have to practice a good bit to memorize all his attacks and the tells for them.
FUCKING
WHEN
We could have finished the thread without anybody replying to that retard.
Are you proud of your self?
>>awful places like Deepnest
Kill yourself. Literally the best area in the game.
My body is SO FUCKING READY
I am neither proud, nor ashamed. Also
I genuinely hope that Lace's second fight has her judgment cut the whole screen.
How do i counter lost kins bullshit rng?
As soon as you touch the jump button you die.
Can't heal can't dodge because blob spawns (((conveniently))) right infront or ontop of you.
Literally getting filtered.
Do i have to dps race it with magic or something?
Keep low. Never lose your momentum.
Defenders crest, the blobs have 1hp so the aura from the charm kills them before they tuch you making the figth 100% lest annoying
Nah, I bet it'll be a series of rapid fire judgment cuts.
Should I just give up? I'm being filtered hard here.
You don't heal or maybe get one in when he's knocked.
You slap him once or twice on every action.
Once spawns ramp up you start using spells to AOE damage.
The end is a race to take him down so be aggressive.
To those of you who want to eventually get all bindings; do not use certain bad habit instilling charms when practicing Radiant in the hall of gods
>Stalwart Shell
Don't know why you would be using this but if you were, stop. Appropriate timing for invuln wearing off is important.
>Sprintmaster
Obvious. you need to understand what regular walking speed feels like against all bosses. Don't use this.
>Steady Body
Knockback can be your friend. Don't use this.
>Quick Slash
Definitely don't use this. Worst habits ever are acquired with this.
>Mark of Pride/Longnail
Not as bad but best not to use this
>Thorns of Agony
The pause this thing induces can throw you off
>Sharp Shadow
Extends Dash. Fucks you over if you're used to it.
>Nailmaster's Glory
You need to get consistent with Nail arts' wind up and execute them optimally. Don't use this.
fuck me i can't type worth a shit
>having so many beat on radiant but not with binds
why? it's almost trivial
It's not as dangerous as it feels backing it into a corner, do just that and walk calmly and in bursts
Another nice thing to note, if you jump over the first projectile you can immediately start healing and the other three will miss you.
Nigger not him and you have to start the whole ordeal over when you fuck up. That aint trivial.
Fighting Pure Vessel perfectly after 10 minutes of boss rush is not like fighting him with a specific build in the Hall of Gods.
They way over nerfed Uumuu. I even was a shitter you got devestated by it but even then I didn't want it fuck d this bad.
I refused to download the nerf out of stubborness, good luck user. Especially if you’re going for Radiant Absolute Radiance.
To add to it, I did beat the PotK with the nail binding.
*who
managed to flawless this boss with old nail, you can do it
>keep choking on PofS Zote with charm binding
I hate tthis fucker.
I'm replaying the game now and I think it's time to put MoP to rest
I need to get used to the short nail range if I ever want the true 112%
