Part 7 single handedly renewed araki's passion for jojo again. He was originally planning to quit jojo after 6 but the reboot made it possible to reinvent stands and introduce a bunch of interesting characters without relying on the old jojo formula.

this is a retarded criticism of jojo because if you have any experience in the shonen genre you'd see how well jojo handles it. in something like bleach the heroes pull out entirely new powers that only work in that first appearance, after which it becomes useless. In jojo the heroes are placed in horrific scenarios but have to use their own ingenuity to escape. There's times where araki cheats (a big part of why vento aureo is the weakest stand part is that gold experience has too many powers) but most of the time the solution makes sense but requires a huge gamble to pull off.

All clone char. should be alts sans Rubber Soul [who should receive an expanded moveset], one of the reason is because Black Polnareff is not black anymore since in the canon manga/anime he is just Polnareff with a sword.

Certainly not that people were going to be playing their game decades later and making a meta.

The most important thing about a new Jojo fighting game is the roster. Eyes of Heaven had 52 playable characters and even that wasn't enough. There's a large focus on characters from parts 1-5 (mostly because they're old/popular/animated) but not as much on parts 6+. My worry with a new fancy looking Jojo game is that we'll get 25 characters (Jojo, Jobro, and villain from each part with a few stragglers) and maybe 5 DLC characters.

Ideally a new Jojo game would feature as many minor villains as they can fit on a disk (excluding some fringe cases that don't give much to work with like Arabia Fats, Mikitaka, etc.) with tons of unique stand interactions. EOH had some interesting interactions where some stands were outright weaker to others due to them being unaffected by certain moves. I would also LOVE a "realistic" ruleset where stands are scaled to their canon powers, ex. Dio one-shots just about every character, Hol Horse/Mista/Johnny getting a headshot is an instant kill (unless you're Avdol).

Also, I've been thinking about every character in Jojo's unique moveset and have considered making an autistically long video detailing every character in a brief description. Reply with some characters and I'll tell you how they fight or reply with your own ideas :)

Jolyne would be a lot of fun to program. Her moveset would obviously be based mostly around her strings. Her throw is replaced with a string-attach attack and some moves would let her attach strings to an enemy with the following drawbacks:
>If an enemy using a slicing move in front of them, the string is cut
>If an enemy moves to the string's maximum range (one string is half stage, two is full stage) and then dashes, the string breaks
>Jolyne takes more damage the further the enemy is from her (even more-so if two strings are attached; this mostly applies to ranged fighters)

While a string is attached some of Joylne's moves change slightly with increased damage. Additionally, using a throw while a string is attached causes one of the following things to happen: a lightweight character is pulled toward Jolyne, a medium-weight character and Jolyne are pulled an equal distance towards each other, Joylne is pulled toward a heavyweight character. Jolyne would have more varied aerial attacks for this reason.

Her block would be a string shield that prevents chip damage from projectiles but doesn't cover her overhead. Her most powerful attacks would all be in close range, but she can use two baseball themed attacks in mid-range (a beat down and a jab). She can heal herself with her own string, but it decreases her overall defense for the round. She can't use her string based attacks, like the baseball jab or AOE counter, while she has a string attached.

There's actually a great video that mentioned how KC would work in a fighting game that summed up my thoughts. The biggest thing being his biggest super secretly activating, the game playing out as normal for ~5 seconds, and then *surprise!* the last 5 seconds is replayed is slow-mo with projected enemy movement shown on screen and KC gets to do a super strong attack. Otherwise a lot of his moveset would be being a grappler, with the ability to skip ahead toward the end of an enemy's animation that's already started. Ex. throwing an enemy and then skipping time to when they've already landed, skipping an entire enemy's super move. KC would just stay in place or, if walking, move x distance depending on how many frames were skipped. He wouldn't have a lot of other gimmicks and would rely heavily on abusing his super abilities to avoid damage. All of his attacks are close range.

The moment KC is activated, Player lost control over their own character and let NPC AI override their character for 10 seconds.

Go back to your save before the mansion and grind ripple warriors to buy phantom bloods? You can get them for cheap from a doctor if you use Kira's note to go back in time, SHA is weak to bind so have Kak or Joseph with you.
Otherwise just brute force the fight and have your MC be the healer.

A refreshing reboot of the series and reintroducing what made stand powers interesting in the first place; without relying so heavily on jojo or the main villain to be the most interesting powers in the entire part.

With all the call backs and reoccurring characters, I found it interesting that they didn’t have Gio at least seen in Part 6.
