Ive been noticing this more and more here. The Switch was supposed to be a cheaper alternative for gaming, but it costs just as much as the PS4, which is like 25.000 pesos or something. Is this because of import taxes or what?

Yes Import taxes are up the wazoo in most electronics though shit has been improving in the last few years gaming is still seen as a luxury so taxing consoles and the like isn't seen as a bad tax and people that want to buy a console just get a PS4 or an old 360 modded and be done with it. Is not like gaming is as mainstream in Argentina as it is in America though most people in the middle class have a PS4 even if we only use it for FIFA and little else.

Garbage, most people in Argentina only play FIFA and if they play something outside of it it is mostly CoD and little more. Several of my friends at college have consoles and only like 3 of them play games outside of FIFA or CoD.
