Pathologic 2 was a slam fucking dunk

>Pathologic 2 was a slam fucking dunk

Can we agree that a game project being on Kikestarter does not inherently mean it will be good or bad, or a success or failure, and it's down to the individual project and team?

>and it's down to the individual project and team?
thats a rational way of thinking but people here are more inclined to be negative and only remember the bad things

>Bloodstained is apparently great

the game was also supposed to come out 2 years ago, you got lied too, why aren't you angry? in fact i can't remember a kickstarter that didn't delay or bullshit it's backer later on in one way or the other

Those people who crowdfund and eventually fail underestimate how hard it is to actually develop a game.

>Bloodstained is apparently great
>the game was also supposed to come out 2 years ago,
If the game is decent does that matter that much? A lot of kickstarter games that dont deliver on time end up being decent as well.

>Can we agree that a game project being on Kikestarter does not inherently mean it will be good or bad, or a success or failure, and it's down to the individual project and team?
Anyone with half a brain cell can tell you that.

I see that you are trying to use Yea Forums as a legitimate form of video game discussion.
Stop that.

no rational adult gives a single solitary fuck about delays. children get upset about delays.

of course being a product of kickstarter does not automatically make something shit but when we think of the amount of shit that has been made by kickstarter compared to the dozens (at most) worthwhile games it is clearly more a failure (for the consumer) than not.

>pathologic 2 sold like cold garbage
why must you remind me

it's a high quality but niche game, it'll have a nice long sales tail, driven by positive word of mouth and critical review. Was never going to be a blockbuster.

i know i know, but it's not getting that positive critical review because >games journalism
IPL always pulls through somehow but this time I was really hoping it'd work out for them, and i'm reasonably certain they'd pinned their hopes on this one too.

shill me on this game.

Wasteland 2, Pillar of Eternity, Kingdom Cone Deliverance were all awesome.
Torment Tides of Numenera sucks but that primarily because they went to the biggest retard in the world of /tg/ to license their setting/rpg system

if devs have trust in their great project they'll loan the money or at least be successful at pitching the idea to smaller scale publisher (night dive / devolver)
kikestarter insentivises even the most talented devs to half-ass it to some degree

It's plague simulator. It's about as fun as that would be in real life. if you're a pleb or hardcore you can alter the difficulty to change the rate your sliders for food, sleep, etc go down so difficulty shouldn't really keep you away, you will be mocked if anyone finds out you went babby mode. Really really good story (difficult to impossible to make work in other mediums, very unique), weird and intriguing lore (just look up some locations to get a feel), you can't do everything so learn to make tough choices. Only 1/3 of the game is released but the rest will come soon, maybe. Not for everyone, go play it. Or play the demo if you're not sold.

this is just you coping you dirty paypig

Go away Romero.

Best kickstarter coming through

Don't forget Underyale, Shantae, and FTL.

It's a stress simulator.
You ever had that dream where you're back in high school or uni, and it's the day of the finals, and you realize you haven't studied at all?
Imagine this as a videogame. It's great btw.

>actually taking the risk of donating to a kickstarter
lol

>Can we agree
no, for this is Yea Forums.

LISA was a Kickstarter game too, wasn't it? That was the shit.
I remember being hyped for Armikrog since I loved The Neverhood but never got around to playing it. Was that any good?

Sure, why not?

Yes he did, Him and developers.

>Pathologic 2 was a slam fucking dunk
Shills gonna shill

Barkley 2 released a playable demo a few days ago.
"A delayed game is eventually good, a bad game is bad forever." That's what my uncle who works at Nintendo says, anyway.

A very stressful game where you're bound to make mistakes and fuck things up while trying to survive and help others. It's easy to get immersed because of unique setting and rich lore. It's a bit clunky at times but still a good game, especially if you dislike games which hold your hand.

Wasn't LISA supposed to have 10 backer party members instead of 6?

I don't remember. Maybe only 6 slots were bought?
Either way, can't say I'm upset about that. Most of them sucked, especially the porn guy.

>I remember being hyped for Armikrog since I loved The Neverhood but never got around to playing it. Was that any good?
not really
