I've done pretty much everything and am oat 99.5%. The final boss has like 0 difficulty and is a cake walk. I can't find the materials for a final weapon craft, I'm pretty sure they aren't in the castle at this rate.

What is there is like 90% good, minus the water section, but there is some real odd choices about the end game and final moments. The final boss, bael, feels like they ran our of budget hard.

Unless I'm somehow fucking something up, but I don't think so.

The armor is equippable, when you put it on you get Shovel Knight's moveset and it overrides all other visual and moveset customization equips.

2. Bloodshards. How much do i need to keep, and from what point should i sell them? Also, does getting all of them somehow influence game ending or is it just talk?
3. I got Brigandine through quest, and traded it in another, do i get brigandine somewhere else or am i stupid to sell it?
Otherwise, so farm, from the start, the game seems good (got past corridor with red moon, i know i gotta return into it and kick its butt)

Just found a very useful glitch, dunno if its new or not.
If you have the Shovel Knight armor, equip it, then equip it a second time, the game will glitch and show a fused Miriam and Shovel Knight, this will take away the attack bonus of the Shovel Knight armor, but the big defense bonus is retained and when you exit the menu, you'll still be playing as Miriam.
Basically you can take the defense bonus of the armor without being stuck with Shovel Knight's limited moveset.

It seems like they're used for weapons that I assume were designed by backers. I've been using Hikari and I'm glad that I can upgrade it to keep it useful throughout the game, because I initially just thought it looked cool, but I really fell in love with it when I accidentally activated it's special move.
They seem like pretty balanced weapons to me.

Food gives permanent stat buffs the first time they're eaten, eating them more than once I believe just heals you for the HP bonus that would have been a boost on the first time eating.

I don't know much about the other questions, I have like 4 shards of a single skill and it still increases the damage by 1-2 at that point, and the brigandine I think you shouldn't have traded right away, but you can find equal armor soon after the third boss anyways, or better if you grind Shovel Knight and do the glitch.

It gives you instant access to Hard and Nightmare difficulties without having to beat the game on Normal first. You don't have to keep the name either, just input it and hit OK and the unlock is permanent. You can then hit back to switch it to Miriam again or whatever you like.

Had my facts slightly wrong on how to activate the Shovel Knight glitch.
Once you equip the armor, go to Accessory II and equip literally anything, then you'll have the glitch done.

It's a successor to the Metroidvania styled Castlevania games by Koji Igarashi, the dude who produced them at Konami. It's pretty much a sequel to Dawn of Sorrow mechanically.

It's also the second game in its series, Curse of the Moon was a classicvania throwback released last year

PSA: Typing your character name as "NIGHTMARE" in all caps without quotations unlocks both the Hard and Nightmare difficulties from get go without having to play through the game on normal.

There are so many nods to SotN both subtle and obvious from sounds of enemy deaths to using the same graphical techniques for skyboxes that SotN used in some areas.

Also trying certain exploits, secrets, and glitches from SotN in the right spots normally nets you extra goodies in the form of Hp/Mp ups.

It didn't kill me, but multiple times while I was jumping over him and slashing as I came down, the game dropped the input.

Also, I died at one point, but the game forgot to trigger a death animation, so I got a game over screen-wipe while I was mid-attack.

If a community can be assed to find out where the assets lie, it's piss easy to make replacement mods for things like textures. Hell, the Dragon Quest XI orchestral mod is just an external pack that doesn't overwrite anything, simply by tapping into the right file access points with the right sounds.
