I started with Silver and ended with Soulsiver.

Started with Kanto, played the shit out of every gen up to 3rd, tried 4th gen but it was just too fucking tedious, skipped 5th gen, came back for 6th after getting hooked on Showdown to make my team in a real game, tried to get through 7th gen but the z-move meta ruined it for me.

That's because Pokémon Silver is the best game to date in the franchise.

Started with Gold, liked pretty much every game afterwards until Unova killed my hype for the series because of how bad it was.
HGSS and Emerald are still my go-to games when I need to scratch that Pokemon itch.
