I FUCKING LOVE JOB SYSTEMS
RECOMMEND ME SOME GAMES WITH JOB SYSTEMS
I FUCKING LOVE JOB SYSTEMS
RECOMMEND ME SOME GAMES WITH JOB SYSTEMS
ff12
ffv is my favorite and one of the reasons is because of its job system. i love it
real life
Bravely Default and Dragon Quest IX.
Bravely Default
I mean just play the FF5 successors. Bravely Default and sequel as well as Octopath Traveler.
Bravely Default and Bravely Second
FFX-2
JOB FIESTA IS ON BROS
Any recent FinalFantasy will do, i reccomend 5
If FF7 had a job system, what would be each character preferred job?
Glory of Heracles IV
Nice. I never wanted to play x2 until now
FFX international/zodiac
>Mentioning 5 when OP has it in his image
Cloud-Warrior
Barret-Gunner(Archer)
Tifa-Monk
Aeris-Red Mage
RedXIII-Berserker
Cait Sith- Gambler
Yuffie-Ninja/Thief
Vincent-Morpher
Cid-Dragoon
If you can ignore the awful Charlie's Angels Save Spira plot, the combat and job system was enjoyable.
There's 2 (3?) more jobs in the international version as well
Psychic, Festivalist and blanking on third one if there was one
A few anons already mentioned them, but the job system in Bravely Default & Second is seriously fun. Definitely play them.
Dragon Quest VII for maximum jobs autism.
Also, in-combat job switching
Cloud seems closer to a mystic knight than a standard warrior.
Octopath Traveler
Both Red and Cloud have very high magic.
FFT
No More Heroes
Cloud : Mystic Knight
Barret : Knight/Gunner
Tifa : Monk
Aerith : White Mage
Yuffie : Ninja/Thief
Nanaki : Red Mage
Cid : Dragoon
Vincent : Berserker ?
Cait Sith : Gambler
Imagine not playing a job system jrpg right now
Their limit breaks says otherwise really
Tactics Ogre
I even think Red Thirteen is the third best mage in the game behind Aerith and Cloud
This game is actually based. Even that weird sidegame where you climb that tower has a decent job system
He is, but many of his limit breaks are "berserk"-like, he even has a limit break that puts himself in the berserk status
IT'S FOUR JOB FIESTA SEASON MOTHERFUCKERS
POST TEAMS
Etrian Odyssey, especially 4 and 5 because they're the most balanced in terms of what class compositions you can beat the game with.
That's like a randomizer challenge, isn't it?
Miitopia.
X-2 has a horrible “story” but the combat is some of the best of any RPG I’ve played.
Cyberpunk 2077 in 2013
yeah
it's pretty fun
>Barrett-Gunner(Archer)
You mean Machinist
Bravely Default and Bravely Second. Both have pretty solid job systems with lots of cool jobs that you don't really get in other games. Also DQ3, 6, 7 and 9 have job systems with DQ7 having by far the best one.
Agreed. I enjoyed X-2 much more than X despite the story. I went into the game thinking it was retarded due to the story, and left it thinking it was a great game.
Fell Seal: Arbiter's Mark
Pretty good game that takes heavy inspiration from FFT. Unfortunately it falls short of being as good as FFT both in gameplay and story, but still a pretty good game.
Disgaea
I hate jobs/multiclassing, it just encourages minmax autism. Pick a class and stick with it god damnit
Too bad the actual game is garbage
final fantasy tactics advance
I hate depth and decision making and probably struggle to tie my shoes
That's my impression of you.
Ow
I love FFX-2. Got it for Christmas when it came out and it’ll always hold a fond place in my heart. Fantastic gameplay and replay ability
>mfw getting excited to see the differences between girls for the same job
>picking which ones to level based on looks
>Berserker
Just fuck my shit up
I don't get this Job Fiesta shit, do I actually have to send out a tweet and wait for that account to give me a party or what?
fourjobfiesta.com
Just pick whatever type you like and Girugamesh will tweet it to you
>twitter
Damn, I was a little interested.
lady luck outfits were bonertown. too bad the class was kind of weird.
You got there before me ^_^
Haven't started yet.
I have a thief.
Hoping for at least 1 berserker.
just create one for it
Same
Got turned off by the story so much but might try it now
>fourjobfiesta.com
Fuck you user, I wanted to be efficient this week.
Kenshi
voidfox.com
Scroll down to the FFV section.
I actually had a program that would randomize it for me, but it seems I've lost it, and it's probably out of date compared to the Fiesta's new rules anyway.
>Fucks up with your early game.
Thanks Gilgabot.
Forgot the picture
Dragon Warrior VII has a great job system but the game itself is ok at best.
Dragon Quest VII
Most Mana games, somewhat.
I don't need the headache, and I don't care about the children.
Thank you, very helpful. Now that I get how the rules work, I'll have to decide if this is what I want to go with.
Just got Water crystal, Blue Mage and Summoner, fml. I didn't want to do all this extra bullshit.
Cloud: Mystic Knight
Barret: Machinist
Tifa: Brawler
Aerith: Sage or Geomancer
Yuffie: Ninja
Red: Red Mage
Cid: Lancer
Vincent: Morpher
Cait Sith: Gambler
I've never actually completely finished this game. Time to do it now I guess.
Been playing EOV but I feel my party is becoming shittier by the minute
>Dodge fencer main-tank
>Booster Cannon Dragoon, very limited SP
>Blind-dependant Helm Splitter Masurao
>Herb toddler healslut and smoke screen spam
>Rover that I use to blind shit and hit for shit damage
Tree Of Savior (yeah, a fucking MMO I know) has an interesting job system that I've been checking out
Cloud is actually a jack of all trades
Barret is a tank pretty much, high def/HP and low magic and speed.
Aeris and RedXIII have the highiest magic stat out of all the party members IRC
The rest seem ok
Guild Wars 1 has a fantastic class system if you have the time investment and about 35-40 dollars.
The expansions add 4 more professions to the game including:
Ritualist
Assassin
Paragon
Dervish
>dad walks in during the intro
Just saw some speedruners do this. Why did they all go 4 whitemages at the start?
based
my main character was a cyber-arm Nodachi user, master pick locker and a somewhat instructed robot mechanic, but he died a horrible (albeit retarded) death while plundering some ruins in the Deadlands (forgot to completely cover Acid Rain and his skin melted during a long recovery coma)
Alright this four job fiesta looks pretty fun, Now where do I get FFV on PC, steam looks like some mobile nonsense
Get the GBA or SNES rom, either is fine.
the samurai looks like a pirate
>all these Square games
Let's break the mold. Pic related was pretty solid and made use of every class.
lmao blue mage is easy mode
just get lv 5 death and the healing wind or whatever it is and you can sweep the game
>PSP
>not the original PS1 version
>not the remake on PS2
You disgust me.
the jobs were picked for them beforehand
Isn't a job system just being able to change class freely?
I thought it would be 1 job per person
final fantasy xi :D
Does this one count?
If OP meant "ff5-like", it means that using a job must have long term effects, either via stat gains or through abilities. FFT does that, Bravely default too.
It's one job per person but, you only have one set of jobs at first. You need to unlock the others to have different classes.
I meant one guy will be killing the tree with 4 dragoons while another does it with 4 white mages
Thanks for reminding me to bully my friend into continuing our game. He lost his weapon, immediately went into debt, and I'm like 15 levels higher than him.
Don't you have to use a Beastmaster to get White Wind?
summoner is stronger than black mage so you need it
blue mage has a few really good spells, but I would read a faq to see if you even want any of it, you can't definitely play without it
level 5 death is super useful in a few places, but its a pain to learn it
Confuse one of those dragon creatures in ronka ruins and profit.
It's the SRPG spin-off, you goof. The original games don't even have a job system.
Oh yeah, I forgot that works too.
Something that's NEET-friendly please
>ctrl+f
>chocobo

Come on guys, even pic related just got ported to the Switch and PS4 just recently.
>just got ported to the Switch and PS4 just recently.
Damn, thanks for letting me know, user. I was just looking into the Chocobo Dungeon games earlier today. Guess I'll add the port to my backlog instead of fishing out my WiiU and buying a copy of the Wii version.
MGQ paradox. Literally the best job system I've ever seen in an rpg.
wait.......faris........is a.........huh?
That scene made very little sense to me as a kid. Even her overworld Sprite had huge tits.
A big titty pirate!
GILGABOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTT
lol nigga just heal
>Drain
>Instakill one character
>Tackle
>Instakill one character
Heal this.
get the secret fire rod son
>white mage comp
You poor soul.
Aeris is a Geomancer
Voidspire Tactics and its pseudo sequel Alvora Tactics.
You start off with a basic warrior, scout, and two scholars, and then unlock new jobs as you accumulate experience. Meeting certain thresholds in certain jobs unlocks more advanced jobs.
Warrior > Knight > Monk, Monk > Berserker, Scholar > Sage > Sorcerer, Knight + Sorcerer + Berserker > Phoenix, to give just one example.
And you can mix and match any two jobs at once to use both their skillsets. Want an archer that shoots elemental arrows and also teleports? How about a cleric with a pet bat? Monk that can deploy an autoturret? All doable.
are they in the back row?
Atelier Iris 3
it has an amazing job system that goes beyond wizard/warrior/thief and yet barely anybody knows or has played the game
It's a boss so no. I haven't touched the rows yet.
Good taste, my man. Edge's Jiptus class was the fucking shit.
>and I don't care about the children.
?
blue mage and summoner are so much fun tho
>parents within earshot during Leblanc's massage
>OOH OOH THERE
Unironically, Monster Girl Quest Paradox
Story is so shitty but damn the battle and jobs are fucking awesome.
FFIII DS remake is great
SNES version is fine and the GBA version is somewhat better mechanically and with 4 more jobs but you better get the visual/music patches for it.
It's a charity event.
Thiefia!
Are the patches necessary? Haven't been playing that long but I'm not really keen on losing progress. Where can I find these patches?
ur mom has a blowjob system
>Vincent
>not gunner
nigga wtf are you doing
Bravely Default lets you completely ruin the game with the Performer/Freelancer x Spiritmaster/White Mage team up. Beat everything in the game without even taking damage.
This. The fact that the devs added a Disgaea-tier autism bonus dungeon that was capped at Lv30 while the game was 1/3rd done and the players manage to out-autism the dungeon's strongest superbosses just by exploiting the flexible Job system says a lot about the game.
He didn't say blowjob system.
post vayne's cameltoe
MGQ Paradox.
dab
Granblue's got a fairly nice job system for the MC.
Does Dwarf Fortress count?
ohnonoonononono
>ff5 with tits
Is there a similar picture of yuna and paine?
But what are the mechanical differences in gameplay?
Obligatory.
Each one has different passive abilities and certain signature skills. Other skills are learned by mastering other classes and taking their skills. Different weapon proficiency means they have different mainhand weapons and those factor heavily into the build.
Some classes have unique gimmicks too.
Runeslayer is Evoker Lite, Soldier has a bunch of different bullets you can apply to your guns for a variety of utility effects and Swordsmaster/Glory has a unique set of Awaken, attack, resonance and Defend skills for every single Katana/Sword in the game.

Let's see how things unfolds.
I wish Mimonel never got into mobileshit. He was the best source for retro RPG smut and now he rarely does it.
Harem Fantasy, one of those untranslated Japanese ero RPGs.
What I want is a FF5 with lolis.
I wish there was an ARPG with a job system.
Based mrgrrgrr bros.
Someone said "mrgrgr"?
FFV sucks. There's a ton of things in the game you can miss by simply not expecting it to be there, which you wouldn't without a guide, or by doing "the wrong" thing, when you're intuitively doing the right thing; the game has a metric ass ton of additional content, like relic weapons and secret bosses, that requires a metric ass ton of painfully boring grinding; the story sounds like it was written by a 4-year old; and the main character, Butts, has a perfect name because he's a completely unrelatable, semi-retarded shithead, who almost kills everyone because he's mad or something, when he has no reason to be angrier than everyone else, almost ditches his party because they were on the opposite side of a crowd, and is surprised at how strong a girl is after going through the entire game with half his party being girls.
FFIII has almost no story, and it's better because of it.
Yeah but FFV has Faris.
>want to play bravely default
>don't want to use the 3DS
they are going to port it to pc right?
>ff3
>fewer jobs

>gotta manually equip everything on job change
>freelancer is pointless

>vikings are disappointing
>story is nonsensical
>takes half the game to actually find the plot
>better than 5 because of your very personal and arbitrary nitpick that aren't even entirely true
If you're missing shit and have to grind, you just suck at ff5, and there's nothing wrong with Bart, you're just being fussy.
Normally only get to post this on /vr/ but it fits here so I will take it. Every FFV class taken through the game solo. If your idea of a good time is reading old ass websites from the kind loony that would attempt such a challenge then I apologize for the amount of free time you are about to lose.

Emulate it.

Lame. Real men abuse DKs for 300k damage per turn

Trash.
I dont think you played FFV because what youre describing is nothing remotely close to FFV
Remind me, how fucking long does it take to unlock jobs in 7?
120 hour RPGS are not fun. Outside the twist and Edea, the game is trash
Bravely Default.
>120 hour RPGS
I still have that much left? Oof, haven't even finished chapter 3 yet.
Im exaggerating a bit but its a fucking long ass game
If you complete everything 4 times, it takes 80+ hours.
I was wondering what the "A" after the Eternia bosses were for in the sub-scenario event viewer. 4 times, huh.
>120 hours
Holy shit you're either slow or retarded.
Depending on how fast you go through the last few chapters, you're about 50-60% through the game. If you do all the repeat side bosses, it'll take you roughly 80 hours in total.
That game brings out the worst of man. I've witnessed it.
Work Time Fun.
>samurai outfit is Auron's

>Hope you weren't in a hurry with your whit mage composition
God, having white mages will help in the late game, but for the first third, it's tedious as hell.

In 2 months my powers will manifest IRL as well. You will rue the day you slighted me, pleb.
Bravely Second, kind off. Hawkeye uses rifles. Doesn't take too long to get to either from what I remember.
I want to die i have thief, beserkerer and geomancer
that feelerino when 4monk killed both before either could get more than 2 attacks out.
Protip, you can silence magissa.
FF5
wasn't that the censored class? how was bravely second? I heard it wasn't as good as the first game.
I want to use a bow, somehow
I just started DQ3 and I've been reading contradictory shit for the past half an hour. What the fuck do I do with my party? Warrior, Cleric > Sage and Thief?
Ah, yeah I don't care about that either.
I just think twitter is fairly easy to make if you like the concept of the randomized jobs and restrictions on how you use them.
Yeah, instead of looking like a native american, it looks like a Cowboy in the western version. I thought Bravely Second was pretty good. From a pure gameplay perspective, it's better, but BD had a better story and a much better soundtrack. Not that BS has a bad soundtrack, it's just too little variety (mostly guitars) and the character theme songs are samey and a bit generic. Definitely worth a playthrough if you enjoyed BD.
I was enjoying bravely default until the reset bullshit and ended up dropping it. I thought the class system was sort of inflexible too since your options were either generic builds or specialized for weird cheese strats.
On my first playthrough, I just didn't know she could summon a monster to help her. Faris as a monk had shut down her trap in a single turn with two critical hits.
the dole
Technically Romancing SaGa 2 and Minstrel Song.
The reset stuff really isn't that bad. You can go from Chapter 5 to Chapter 8 in like 1 hour if you want to. The side stuff isn't really worth it from that point onward anyway. I found the job system to be quite good. It let me do pretty much any comp that I wanted to, tho I did end up using 4 Vampires in the end. This definitely gets improved in BS tho, because most of the new jobs are really unique, like the Wizard and it's Spellcraft system or the Excorcist, which lets you revert things and just overall better balance and passives.
>Job system on higher levels requires insane amount of grind and it's usually RNG bullshit if you didn't get the right social links
Nice try gramps
GILGABOT FOR FUCK SAKE.
FIRST WHITE MAGES, NOW THIS.
Dresspheres are amazing but the game takes the kino that is the ending of FFX and rapes it into an early grave

Unless job fiesta has additional shenanigans beyond play the game with only these jobs, having constant access to slow and haste is great.
At least it's not 2.5.
>BER
>GEO
>Dancer
You are lucky that BLM was your wind, holy shit if you got anything that couldn't use rods, Sandworm and Soul Cannon would basically be a noose tying session.
Doesn't the program only select jobs, and make the run ”official”? If I don't want it to be official, I could just use a random number generator, and then follow the same rules. Which is what I think I'll do, mostly so I can roll which class I get at each crystal as they come.
>3 hours
I'm surprised the thread is still even up.
I'll have access to one white mage and one time mage from this point and on, I'll be safe for most battles, but the grind is going to be reallllly tedious considering I can't deal damage at all. I won't get access to comet and holy before the late game.
>Bard

I was too autistic to skip the optional battles but it was too much effort so I just stopped playing entirely

Struggling against a difficult enemy with set classes is the real big brain.
>I'll just change my class and make it easier

I feel you, I had to do them too, so I just made a broken party and got it over with quick. Can't blame you for quitting.
About 20 hours.

False.

Get fucked plebs
Is it just because I'm rushing to get the jobs unlocked then? Cause I read it was the 9th Island that you unlock them and I am at 9 hours in on the 7th Island completed.

Oh sorry my mistake, It's just firefox being racist against the greasemonkeys again.
it depends on which version you're playing. On PS1 you had no hint when you had all tablets of an island and you couldn't avoid random encounters.
I suppose you're on a 3DS?
Yeah, have had it since it released and finally decided to start playing it while on Night Shift.
It's painful so far. Just got past the Automaton island. Why not just let me have the job system earlier if thats the main draw of the game?
That was a different era. DQ games couldn't fail and people were okay to get through the first 3 hours without a single fight because Enix would deliver nonetheless. It was built to be the longest RPG ever made.
Fine.
Probably why I never fully completed a mainline entry until XI. VIII had interesting characters but I'd get bored with that one as well.
I'm a trickster
FFX-2 is underrated as fuck. Sure the story is bad but the actual gameplay is fucking great. Fuck FFags who just shit on stuff because the story is bad even if the gameplay is great. This game deserved better.
The best approach to DQ VII is to treat it like the entire fucking dragonball manga. Marathonning that shit will only burn you out.
real life
Does Golden Sun count?
This. I love DQ but never finished a single one of them. I play a couple of weeks and then I get burnt out with the silly and never ending plots
>takes 5 years minimum to get any job
>takes 14 years minimum to get legitimate jobs
>takes 21 years minimum to get the good jobs
>the really good jobs are reserved based on randomly assigned race/gender
ok
please be an interesting one
the funny thing about berserkers is that they shit on Archeoaevis hard with their ailment resistance and huge physical damage while mage teams struggle.
Are you guys Goldfish or something? Most DQ games aren't even that long.
It appears I have become death destroyer of worlds
People have jobs and other hobbies, spending however many hours on a DQ game and feeling like no progress has been made can definitely cause burn out.
Rolling it.
In other words, you have the attention span of a Goldfish.
>the really good jobs are reserved based on randomly assigned race/gender
Just pull a Zachary Levi.
I actually really like this.
I'd say so, but it isn't the kind that lets you mix and match skills.
That's a paladin, not a cavalier.
A goldfish has an attention span of three seconds. What's that, 1 billionth of the total time it takes to complete a DQ game?
Lets do this
Gunslinger, not bad.
That's the djinn-swapping deal, isn't it?
I've literally marathoned the entire dragon ball manga before and it is more palatable than DQ VII.

Bravely Collection Switch when
I've beat the game like 7 times, here are some of my favorite combos tho
Gladiator/Magic Knight (Break Blade with Bladeblitz is the bane of normal monsters)
Monk/Ninja with Buildup
Black Mage/Ninja throwing ninja scrolls
Monk/Dancer with Sword Dance (hilariously it works)
All I need is a javelin then
Alright, what have we got?
This, the superior Bravely game
With Braved Third.
Monk is my number one choice as a beginning class for earning that free heal, getting a head start on survivability, and saving money on starting equipment. Ranger's nightingale is also a great free heal for early/mid game after chakra loses value.
city of heroes and tales of maj eyal
yes.
Rooollliin
>starting with black mages
Time to glass cannon the shit out of this early game.
>he thinks he's restricted from really good jobs due to race/gender
Your women studies classes taught you wrong.
I picked jobs based on the sprites I wanted. lena was magic knight, faris was dancer, and krile was something cute and funny I forget.
"Dark delver", huh? I do like dwarven rogues.
>monk Lenna
Bravley default its probably my most favorite jrpg of all time
I dropped Octopath after I beat redeye without it ever trying to petrify me.
>elite wrestlers
wait they have those
They have master ranks of all dwarven combat styles, user.
So what’s the difference between a job and a class? Does Fire Emblem count?
>He's not aware of the JQ
Fable 2 and 3 are great for repetitive Jobs
Classes often mean less choices, you choose a class, or choose a character with a specific class while and you'll stick to it. Job systems are meant to be experimented with. You can switch jobs at anytime and you can add up the advantages of a job you've leveled up.
Old Fire emblem games have classes while games like Awakening, Shadow Dragon and new mystery of the emblem have systems more akin to jobs because you can switch classes to better the odds of stat gains you're aiming for.
It's 60 hours top, braindead.
Don't put me in Hufflepuff
Don't worry, user, you're a Templar, which is like a Paladin's cute little brother.
Gimme something crappy to make my next run challenging.
For the Brave Default fans, do you find Tiz somehow dies a lot if you leave combat on auto? Is the first person in the party targeted more often?
Fuck, I hit very easy mode.
Which game is this even for? Or is it just a general thing?
ultimate chad team would be Bartz: knight and the three girls being dancers
I think it's just generic, but imo it works best for games like Oblivion where you can build and name your own custom class
rolland itiative
Trials of Mana

Yeah sure you could do that.
Things like making it official, and ironman modes in other games can help people from not cheating themselves, so it's nice that there's a program there. Motivates some.

>One of my friends said I was cheating by doing this, the other two didn't really care
>He got REALLY mad about it
I think that was the last time we played. Also he was more of a "friend" than a friend, we couldn't really stand each other, if we weren't friends with the other two, we'd have never spent so much time together. And we got into a vicious cycle of him hating me, so I'd push his buttons to make him angrier. It probably wasn't right, but he had something against me from day 1 and he made it soooooo easy.

>I've beat the game like 7 times, here are some of my favorite combos tho
Yeah same, so hard to remember what I had the very first time.
Faris and Butz were probably x-fighting. I think Lenna had more conventional magic, while Krile was a weird mix because I had a different idea when Galuf was around. I think Krile was a Mime with Blue Magic and maybe Throw+?.
I remember my no fleeing, only forward no grinding solo run better.
Mimic+Summoning+BlueMagic+Mix.
Bone Mail equipped.
Equipping Brawl on other classes is also super useful, since it gives them the Monks Strength as well, not just a good weaponless attack, so good for anyone that uses strength weapons.
Goblin Punch is based on your strength, so bluemage+brawl+backrow+goblin punch is really nice.
So someone in the Medical field is obviously a White Mage/Alchemist. And even useless jobs like “musician” can be a Bard. But what are the job equivalents to stuff like Lawyers or Detectives/Private investigators or computer engineers
>Detective
Blue Mages because !peep
>Lawyers
I'd put them as chemists just because of all the weird mix rules
How is God Wars?
Aeris is so obviously a white mage.
Using FFT jobs I can give Detectives Trickster and Lawyers Orator.
dubs coming up
>talks to the planet
>not a geomancer
sure, why not?
lets see
Fuck man, Ogre Battle 64 was so fucking good but the alignment system was completely retarded. How has there not been a remake that fixes that shit? It'd be GOTY
Bravely Default is the GOAT
chaos frame is easily the worst part of the game, AND THEY NEVER fucking explain it in game
wtf was the thought behind that whole system?
My first playthrough I got the worst ending without knowing what I did wrong or if there even was other endings.
I would even take a port at this point, cause it emulates like shit, and carts are fucking expensive
>copy-pasted dungeons that are just hallways to have fights in
>extremely complex character customization and great combat system wasted on braindead cookie cutter encounters
>basically no exploration
>the plot and combat only start to get good when the game literally starts looping and requires you to do the dungeons again repeatedly
Good god if they just put that system in a better game it'd be perfect
Determining your ending by how often you took settlements with troops with a matching alignment is the most retarded thing I've ever heard of in a tactics game. Everything else was so good it's hard to believe they made such an incredible blunder considering they could have just based it on recruitment or permadeath.
FF5 ancient cave mod romhacking.net
>get dancer early
>have unlimited MP
pls gib gud job
yea i mean assuming you find it, idk if you have played the mod but everyone starts as Freelancer and you literally have to find jobs and spells in chests.
>Meliadoul
A man of taste
Interesting.
FFXI has the most realized job system ever, but its an MMO and it requires work to achieve anything
I'm talking about something that happened to me last time I played it.
Virtually every WRPG ever made.
>What I want is a FF5 with lolis.
How about X-2 with pic related as the party instead?
Could never get into MMOs. Can't get over the fact that they'll inevitably shut down forever.
>be eleven
>see eiko's model for the first time
>misinterpret the pink stockings for skin
>think she's just exposing her pussy constantly
>nobody says anything about it
>fap for the first time
>years later I have a an extremely specific fetish for people doing lewd shit in public and bystanders not noticing or thinking anything of it
It's funny how mere textures and polygons can have such an effect on people.
God, I'm glad I started with VIII. So far this game is magical
7 is my favorite DQ and dragon ball (pre-androids) is my favorite manga.
That said, yeah, you can't marathon them, they're both journeys.
Everquest is still up and getting updates + tlp servers (kinda like new leagues in poe/Diablo starting from level 1)
If a game is popular enough, it’ll stay up and running. Look at Everquest 2, it’s on its last legs.
DQ9s job system is pretty bad in a series that usually gets it right. Casters and hybrids got fucked.
rolling for pink
>thinking I might stream my fourjobfiesta run on a rare translated rom
>rarely stream, like 1-2 times a year
>discover that you now have to give up your phone number and anal circumference to twitch if you want your streamkey
oh well
The die has been cast
I
rolling for martial artist
I'm on board with this, but only if it keeps the job change transformation sequences. Maybe make them lewder. For science.
You mean like octopath?
What the fuck
Why
For what purpose
Rollin
Golden Sun has a system where you mix and match elementals to change jobs.
roll and im not spam fuck you Yea Forums
giv bard FUCK
FF Tactics A2
Because fuck that alignment system. You shouldn't be punished for grinding ever.
How do you not have Barret as a gunner and Aerith as a white mage? Also
>Aeris
Oh, you're one of THOSE "people".
>Computer Engineers
Black Mages
Rolling for a good job
>braindead cookie cutter encounters
t.didn't do the chapter 8 sidequests.
Hook me up brother
Gimme some magic
Rollan for funsies
I have no idea what the fuck kind of job systems you are talking about. I'm thinking like DF/Rimworld and Kenshi or even The Sims. what the FUCK are you guys talking about.
blue mage chads report in
spellsword and I get my dick sucked
Is it worth leaving my Black Mage character for Blue mage if I'm new to the game?
left wing and right wing identity politics are cancer, tsk tsk
i hate to burst your bubble user but blue mage isn't a real job in ff14. when i say real job i mean job like blackmage that you can level and do content with. blue mage is a failed experiment in world content
sdfa
What do you mean? I know its like a single player class but the idea of getting skills from enemies appeals to me.
Rawling for the mids
So for this four job fiesta, even when I unlock all 4 jobs, could I have multiple characters run one job or do each of them have to take a different job?
That one new Trails of Mana game being remade.
I downloaded a pack of roms that had apparently contained every snes rom.
I think it may be right since it seems to contain obscure translated romhacks.
>How do you not have Barret as a gunner
There's no gunner in ff5.
You should play it, it's really good.
The hexagonal grid confuses me during combat
im so used to square grids, i fuck up distances and attacks every time.
>do each of them have to take a different job?
That.
But you can switch them around.
So if Galuf is a Samurai and Faris a Ninja, you can change Galuf to a Ninja while changing Faris to a Samurai.
BD's job system has a few critical flaws that put it below FF5's
>give a knight lvl1. black magic
>he doesn't gain the magic stat of a black mage so it's fucking pointless
>vampire magic is total shit compared to blue magic
>mix is much more basic
>the way you get jobs makes it ill-suited for challenge runs like fiestas
etc.
>>give a knight lvl1. black magic
>>he doesn't gain the magic stat of a black mage so it's fucking pointless
Wait, is that not how it works in FF5?
nope. Equip any magic ability, bam high magic stat. That's how you make shit like Rune Axe useful. Or how you fix a blue mage's shit strength, etc.
XI some are a pain in the ass to get. And some mesh well, others you'd think are good suck as S, and some job/subjob combos make no sense but are best
I thought we were a dying kind
On the one hand, you're right, you can't go super wacky with job combos like that I guess, but on the otherhand you can perhaps think better about which abilites would be more suited for other classes. Also there's support slots, so you could actually give your knight a support that gives him better magic, though I'd imagine there's better things you can do with those slots DUAL SHIELDS SUPER CHARGE CHOO CHOO
>Wait, is that not how it works in FF5?
iirc it's based on the level of the magic you equip.
Max level black magic equipped = black mage tier magic power.
Lower levels less so.
Brawl gives monk strength.
Equipped weapons give strength/agility depending on the weapon I think.
It's fun to do too. And it's actually better to have someone level you, you also need need others to get spells from dungeons and stuff.
>Knows multiple people who play the series
>Only one that ends up using Blue Mage to the end most of the time
