Combat is different to FF15 and Kingdom hearts and the people talking actually sound like people and not anime. Personally the "turn based" system in FF7 isn't that much more tactical. At most you paired some materia combos, cast barrier and kept your healing up.

AAA does not have anything to do with art-style. It simply states that the game was made with a publisher's backing, with a high budget. Every single Pokemon game is a triple-A title.

I played ff15 pc definitive edition only for a short while because I didnt find the story or characters very engaging. The combat felt mindless and it felt I wasn't really doing anything. **People who have played the demo said it plays differently to KH or FF15**. From the demo people have described the following. You can pause the battle and have characters make commands. Cloud had combo strings depending on how you pressed the attack button. There seems to be a cover system. You need to utilise both characters to win certain fights (e.g. Flying enemies, cloud gets grabbed or pinned). You need to combine special attacks across characters for bonus damage and stagger. Bosses seem to have weak points. If the designers utilise all these aspects meaningfully then the combat can be very engaging.

You get a good taste of what they are going for with Aeris zoom out shot at the start of the game. The guy who saw an extra screening described the aesthetic he saw was a mixture of 'technology with a 1920s' vibe. Sounds like Final Fantasy 7 to me. I won't speculate on the environments until I've seen more footage.

It's important for a game so reliant on story, events and characters like FF7r. Cloud actually sounds competent. Barret sounds hilarious as he should. The quips they make to eachother during gameplay will likely enhance the story.

I put almost 200h into the game, and I can tell you that the combat evolves and truly becomes engaging later on. The plot and shit are all over the place and easily the worst part of it though, but the dudebro camping and roadtripping was sweet.

People who played the demo said there is clear FFXV DNA in 7R, no one is saying its 100% exactly the same but for the stuff that is the same those are what function identically, and just looking at footage you can see how its borrowing from XV and Type0, 7R literally has a hold to attack too, hell just look at Tifa compared to Eight.
Tifa 7R combat is literally just Eight's combat from Type-0. Except Eight has actual stances that you have in combat like Wildfire/raging fire Stance or Thunderclap stance or Gale stance etc, Tifa doesn't have actual stances but Eight has the same uppercut spin, downward attack, spinning kick and normals that Tifa has and a bunch of others. Like how Tifa's Triangle attack is Omnipunch then Bash, Eight has Diamond Knuckles to Rising Uppercut on whichever button you assign the Knuckles to.
In XV you have combo strings too depending on how you press the button, same as Type0. You can pause to issue commands in XV through wait mode, you literally need to character switch in XV against the fierce, the rogue and the mystic bosses, you need to break ememies to put them in vulnerable state which is the same as stagger. A ton of stuff we see in 7R is done identically in XV or Type-0

The command menu lets you input up to 2 commands from a charge of the ATB exactly like XVs technique bar which lets you input up to 3 commands from each ATB charge
7R does not have stances anymore than switching weapons in XV is a new stance, hell Type0 has actual stances on Eight with Wildfire stance/ Thunderclap Stance/Gale stance etc, and XV has 1:1 attack animation and 7R lets you hold to attack like XV too

No you only have 2 charges per chara in 7r, and in XV each character has 3 ATB charges and and noctis gets a new set just for himself with armiger unleashed
So in 7R its
Cloud = 2 ATB charges
Tifa = 2 ATB charges
Barret = 2 ATB charges
only 3 characters in pary
XV has
Noctis = 3 ATB charges to give commands to the other 3 members plus 1 guess
Gladio = 3 ATB charges for himself, 1 for guest in DLC
Prompto = 3 ATB charges for himself, 1 for guest in DLC
Ignis = 3 ATB charges for himself, 1 for guest in DLC
Noctis in Armiger Unleashed = 3 ATB charges for himself

The idea of literally just HD-ifying the original dwarf overworld models to be "authentic" makes me think you're retarded. That was done to keep things in line with the FF games prior, but if you're going to go through the effort of giving them detail the world just isn't designed for actual high-detail malformed midgets running around. It clashes with the battles, it clashes with the CGI, it clashes with everything on top of being too high detail for, say, upressed backgrounds. The old popeye models aren't great, but they at least leave the details to the imagination.
