Half of Half Life 2 is THAT part.

New Vegas, Primm

Desert of death in BoF 3.

Everything after Anor Londo
I think at this part I've played the game up to just beating O&S at least 30 times but I've only finished the entire game about 3 times.
Primm isn't great but it doesn't take very long. I hate doing the Repconn ghoul quests.

Not my favorite but that opening scene from FFTA can go fuck itself. Most of FFTA can go fuck itself. I don't even know why I like that game.

Good thing Primm isn't Mandatory to progress through the game.

Neclord in both Suikoden I & II.

Skyrim, the entire main quest along with the dlcs

The opening act of FF9 and it's unskippable cutscenes. It's a 2 hour slog until you crash your boat.

>KOTOR 2 Telos Station and Telos Surface

this.

KOTOR 2 - Peragus Mining Facility

I like Peragus. It's a little long but the atmosphere is great.

I loved it the first five or so times I played through it but now I can basically recite every line of dialogue from it and know exactly where every relevant item is, I enjoy it markedly less as a result.

It doesn't help that the next planet you go to is Telos which is basically just "Nar Shadda but boring".

Conkers Bad Fur Day, pretty much all of Bat's Tower

sewer levels in infamous 1

pussy

Diablo 2, Act 3

The first Kingdom Hearts is basically THAT part: The Game

uncharted 2. the museum part and tenzin journey to the ice temple .

Night time train mission in Vanquish

Blighttown and story chalice dungeon

Attached: plant.jpg (480x360, 14K)

Peragus made me feel weird when I was a kid, something about the harshly industrial environment and it being totally empty of humans. Don't know if anbody else experienced it but its the first thing that comes to mind when I read the op

In Bayonetta almost every mission has THAT part. Charming game, good game but it has at least 11 THAT part, after a while even the bosses become THAT part. Damn you Kamiya.

Call of Duty, that fucking truck chase level in the British campaign.

also this

The characters are great but most of the gameplay sections there are pretty frustrating/bland except maybe the boss.

That's not how you write Boomers.
Fuck it, I played through the entire game multiple times, everything is tiresome for me.

Whole final act

COME ON IN AND SHAKE A FIN

Why would it be my favorite videogame if i didnt somewhat enjoy all parts of it? Fucking faggots

>Final boss of Mega Man 7
>Atlantis in Ultimate Alliance
>Anor Londo
>The grind in any DQ game
>Demolition Derby in Full Throttle
>Any time before you get a vehicle in the original Phantasy Star games

Sleeping Dogs

The first car race. Fuck that.

>alice in wonderland world for the first time with no idea where to go or what to do
>deep jungle where you have to go to the treehouse and back a bunch of times
>atlantica an entire water level with shit navigation and way too many super tanky enemies everywhere
>agrabah
But everything after that is actually good and the only pleasant things people remember about this game

Why is it so bad? I can't even put a finger on it. It's just so outrageously fucking boring, and it takes so long. I've tried to replay KOTOR 2 twice since I last played it years ago and both times I couldn't bring myself to do it because of the station.

Tales of Graces F Childhood segment, I know you can skip it but I never do.

Marble Garden followed by Carnival Night kill any motivation for me to play 3&K. I usually just play &K standalone for my fix, I don't think that has any bad levels

Original Sin 2. The Prison.

That boss battle with 20+ metal gears in MGS2

Old Yharnam in Bloodborne
Hirata Estate in Sekiro
Gobi level in Banjo Kazooie
Moon Mountain in Red/Blue

None of those preclude me from playing the game, they are just my least favorite areas in games I otherwise overwhelmingly love.

Quantum Break.

jk Quantum Break is no one's favourite game.

Attached: paul-serene-quantum-break.jpg (800x444, 40K)

Doom 2, Downtown and basically the next couple maps after that. People shit on Factory, the previous level, but I actually sort of like it even though it's got areas that are totally pointless, but Downtown is so fucking bad it put a giant arrow on the ground telling you which way you need to go at first, and it still manages to be a ridiculous confusing mess after that. It's impossible to tell where to go half the time.

The worst part is that this is only like halfway through the game, but it just takes a huge nosedive for me at that point. The next couple maps kind of suck, and it doesn't really get much better than that afaik. Once I get to this point I usually stop playing.

That was one of the best parts of the game lol

Aka the best part?

>Okami
>everything up until the first Orochi fight

Jesus Christ the amount of fucking windows you have to skip through because you collected some food. THEY ALL DO THAT SAME THING, YOU DON'T NEED TO PAUSE MY GAME EACH TIME TO TELL ME WHAT KIND OF FOOD IT IS FUCK

I just got to the part in New Vegas where I gotta do the boomers shit

So many fucking driving sections. How the fuck did we find it acceptable at the time? It just needlessly pads out the gametime and could easily be cut in half without losing any substance.

>Neotokyo

>He doesn't like red flat demon place
>He doesn't like blue magic jungle swamp place
>He doesn't like green empty savanna plains place

I read the art design of Outlands was done by a woman, so maybe that's why it's so bland and tiresome

Boggly Woods in Paper Mario TTYD
those fucking punies get stuck on the slightest of corners and constantly fall, causing you to have to backtrack repeatedly.
Fuck that entire chapter. I know a lot of people don't like the backtracking in Chapter 4, but I at least find the atmosphere of the level enjoyable.

Gonna post the obvious

Attached: Legend_of_Zelda_Fishing.jpg (300x212, 27K)

The museum section is shitty I agree, but I thought the tenzin climb was a nice palate cleanser given how much combat the game had thrown at you in the preceding missions

>Battlefield 4
>remember I'm banned from 90% of the decent servers for saying nigger or something

And thats when I dropped my second playthrough

You haven't experienced true frustration until you tried going for 100%.
There's a motorcycle race in the game that goes on for like 10 minutes and the slightest fuckup at any point in the race is a near guarantee to screw you out of first place.

mitsou's dungeon.
i always forget it even exists.

It's 30, and the amount you fight is dependent on your difficulty level, with extreme making you go through all 30 of them, and very easy only having you fight a couple.

Fallout 1, the part when... oh no wait, I forgot, Fallout 1 is perfect.

The entirety of Novac can be skipped as well by just going into Manny's room and reading the log in his terminal

I swear to Christ they better not have something as shitty as OS2's scaling system in BG3. Its still my 2017 GOTY but the fact you were all but required to buy new sets of gear so often was a pain in the ass.
>What is the missing content hell that is the Boneyard

Attached: MUH GREATER GOOD.jpg (600x446, 112K)

The Fade and, to a lesser extent, Deep Roads in DA:O.

Zangar is cool

Fallout 4 in Far Harbour when you do Dima simulation quests. Last quest from chain is just so fucking annoying i just cant stand it.

Of course, many things can be skipped but I have a compulsion to complete every quest with each character I make. You can run straight from Goodsprings to the Tops, shoot Benny in the face, tell Yes Man you want to ignore all the factions and finish the game in like 2 hours. I love how much freedom NV gives you.

Any wii u since i have to find the discs

KH1 game design was weird. It was basically run into random location to trigger the right cutscene. Then go to the next random location and trigger another one. I remember the Tarzan level was the worst. I never knew where I was supposed to go.

>not the BoS questline

They're getting a ton of help from wizard of the coast and magic items are super rare in 5E so we can only hope, otherwise Spider's bane will last you for a couple hours before you replace it with the next greatsword you find in a random barrel

You can skip the cutscenes by opening and closing the disk tray on ps1 at least

>the watersuits/space suits in KOTOR

the level parts that require the suits are small, but the spacesuit part in Manaan can literally take up to 15-20 minutes just to walk to the end of the level section because the suits make you walk in half steps at about 0.2 of your normal character walking speed. And God forbid you take a wrong turning and have to head back, or don't realize that you're actually taking the long way over to the airlock

Attached: suit.jpg (1280x720, 118K)

Mine doesnt

MGS V : 4 skulls, 4 skull snipers, sahelanthropus boss
DS3 : Farron swamp
Bloodborne : hunter's nightmare, ebrietas : daughter of cheap hits, shadows of yharnam (hated the entire forest in general)
and the car chase scene in the first Yakuza, oh boy

The driving sections are the best parts of the game though. Bloodpumping boat chase sequences. Driving across a coastal countryside, stopping at houses for resistance caches and rebar bolt sniping combine soldiers. The people that cry about the driving parts out themselves as huge plebs.

Driving sections best sections

>run into random location to trigger cutscene

Most of the time you were literally told where to go and even if you didnt listen you could talk to characters who told you where to go next much better than the game hand holding you from beginning to end

>vehicles in phantasy star
no wonder the overworld felt so fucking huge

The retardedly slow and long intro chapters in Uncharted 4. Fuck you Druckmann

>bloody barons quests

Attached: 1552736320611.jpg (640x628, 40K)

I think that's the best part, honestly. Having limited resources in both skills and equipment makes it hard to progress in the first few hours of the game, but it's also really rewarding.
By the time i got through the first half of Act II, there was basically no challenge in the game left, so it became boring.

>wanting to replay any uncharted that isnt 2

>Sekiro
>the entire game

>Underwater sections

Oddworld Abes Exoddus.
Fleeches Brewery secret, fuck that secret and rescusing the Muds is always so annoying.

Uncharted 4 had the best combat and level design.

FUCK THE FADE.
Fuck me that was way too much for an into section.
I never picked mage again after that.

More than half.
That game isn't nearly as good as people remember it being

Cant even remember anything that happens in the game but i could tell you about every part in 2

This game is basically THAT part - The Game.

Attached: skyward sword.jpg (600x846, 138K)

Highway 17 is one of the best levels in the game and that's just driving and exploring the environment

Escape from docks area in jak 2 with robots in the water and soldiers airdropping, bullets everywhere.

Most RPGs that require you to go through the dialogues again. I don't really like skipping through stuff, but I also don't wanna sit there reading/listening to a novel for the 5th time. Just so I can play a different build.

hivemood

So? It still has better combat.

Every part in Twilight Princess that isn't the lakebed temple or arbiters grounds puts me to sleep.

I normally get fatigued around the desert, maybe it's because that's around the point where the gameplay stops being all that tolerable, since it's more of the same thing, and that thing isn't very stimulating.

Attached: 1544431123390.jpg (642x479, 180K)

Why would you do this

Remember me, Yea Forums?

Attached: maxresdefault (2).jpg (1280x720, 178K)

Anor Londo is fine imo. The archers kind of suck until you get good . Fighting the bed of chaos is the biggest pain in the ass in the whole game and still only reason I haven't considered doing a deathless run.

Borderlands 2 - The 'Dam fine rescue' mission and beyond
Dark souls - Anything after anor londo
Persona 5 - Okumuras palace
Resident evil 4 - The island part
Persona 3 - All of tartarus
Literally every game ever - Something mildly tedious that breaks the pace of the game and lasts too long for its own good

Attached: 1545344679664.jpg (309x440, 93K)

The fishing hole is completely optional, though?

THIS. I hate that fucking chapter so much.
The music, the setting, the punies, I hate it.

That's literally me. Stopped playing New Vegas because of that.

The entire final third of VTMB. Almost everything in the Hollywood section sucks balls.
>Here's a shit ton of combat bro
>Oh, you made a speech heavy character? Sucks to be you!

The start of every pre 10s BioWare game

Dark Souls 3 - pretty much everything before Irithyll. They really should have rearranged the early zones and made it less linear. It's such a slog to get through whenever I start a new run.

I was going to say this, having to kill greatwood every time fucking sucks

I was like you, it felt like a ghost town and it make you feel nervous when you meet anyone

Kinda reminds me of Gothic. Great game, but the last third is atrocious, and if I remember correctly can fuck you over if you didn't level 2-handed swords. The final boss is such a fucking piece of shit I don't think it was playtested at all.

Skies of Arcadia, South Ocean
>forced to crawling pace
>horrible instakill silver magic spammers
>high encounter rate with said enemies

Dead Island. Fucking sewers.

FF8. I want to replay it, but then I remember that rinoa is in it, so I don't

They could have made it a bit more obvious you were meant to drive the hydrofoil thing. If you do that then it's fine.

Peragus is the best part of kotor 2 though. It has better survival horror atmosphere than many survival horror games

Kingdom Hearts 1 is just that part: the game till you get to Hollow Bastion

What do find objectable about Rinoa specifically? I'm actually curious. FF8 does have a lot of issues, but I never had any with Rinoa

>hydrofoil thing
what the hell are you talking about.

>Game's combat system is entirely based on knockback and range
>None of the starting weapons have any range, knockback or speed
>Game's traversal is based around mobility
>No starting mobility
It's fucking terrible at the start.

Banjo Kazooie's crocodile eating minigame.

It's so fucking tedious and it's so fuvking easy to lose by a single point

The boat

The whole crawling in the Deep Roads part of Orzammar

And

KH is pure SOUL you cretin

What do you mean you don't like it?

>driving along the road on the coast looking at the blue sea besides you

It was a picturesque experience

Any RTS game where you have one or two missions in the campaign where you have to shove a handful of units across the map that's trying to win the award for worst puzzle of the year.

don't forget
>substantial fall damage
>early game dependant on spelunking down large cave openings
>enemies can easily knock you off your footing
at least you can get the mount or hook fairly early from king slime, but the rope/no double jump phase is pure agony

what? they straight up tell you to use the boat, dont tell me you ran through the drainage tunnels.

I was younger then

Honestly, I think Terraria gets worse and worse the longer you play it. All the boss fights and shit at the end feel so incredibly tacked on, it's just an explosion of hoops you have to jump through to catch the next colour swapped power creep train.

I like Terraria more when it's about exploring, building homes, and slow paced comfiness, and that's obviously what the game was originally built for, because the combat system is just ass.

You can’t truly love something that’s perfect. You love something despite its flaws

Can you scientifically prove that?

Agreed on the hand holding in 2 being too much, but disagree that the first one was designed st all well. Sometimes you could get info from characters, a lot of the time it was just trial and error. Playing without a guide definitely errs into tedium

Fossil Roo in FFIX

Fuck that place

Attached: 1511155966739.jpg (400x388, 40K)

I played it as an 9 year old without a guide and didnt have any trouble you must be special somehow

Came here to post this. First time as a kid I threw my controller

Thank fuck for Skip The Fade mod, sadly no way to skip The Deep Roads.

Replay it again as an adult you literally always get told where to go

“If god is scientific, then let it be said that our love is scientific as well”

cock fights

>Install Number bloat fix mod
>Suddenly the game is much more tolerable and fun

It sure made the late game a bit easier but jesus christ, the scaling in this game makes no sense. Leveling up once and now most of your gear is mediocre at best. Some balance decisions (Warfare in general, whatever the fuck they tried to do with necromancy, Summoning, the armor system and shit) were horrible and I hope they improve that for future games.

Attached: some spice for that meal.png (505x750, 340K)

Who said I didn’t? If you straight faced told me the jungle level was straight foreword given how samey the environments are I’d just laugh in your face

>but they tell you to go to the vines!

Real helpful when there’s like 4 vine areas.

Dragon Age origins, the entire game.

Rimworld, endgame
It turns into a slog once you’re just looking for resources to build the space ship and I guess playing on randy random and hard isn’t helping

>4 vine areas

But theres just one
Did you even play the game faggot?

SMT IV. love the game but holy shit fuck the map and navigation system.

It is a big game, though

Despite all the love and content Terraria was never made with the intention to hold such over the top fights. And even if it was, the core gameplay makes it clunky as hell.

I don't get this meme
post anor londo is great and as good as the first half and duke's archive is the best area of the game

KOTOR 2 uses turbo/speed walking for space suits. They have learned.
>not doing all the side-missions first and then once everything is completed, thinking "i'll do the main quest now" but installing 10 gigabytes of custom DLC-sized maps
>then exploring and finishing those as well, ultimately ending up turning the area into your personal stabwound-rape sex farm
>meanwhile those faggots are still waiting for the Dovahkin on top of their cunt mountain, DeepThroat of the world
They can't leave and most have taken a vow of silence, the fuck are they going to do?
Grout's mansion cut out a really sick area which is in the unofficial patch, makes decent for spoopy atmosphere. But yes, fuck the sewers.

u wot m8? The first map of every Quake episode is simplified as shit, the enemies are either grunts or electro-grunts or dogs, and e4m1 conveniently has quad damage in multiple areas so you can just casually +walk everywhere, get a kill spree and finish everything in 3 minutes

Did you? The vines are split into several different areas with loading screens in between. There’s even different places you fall down to if you miss the jumps with the worlds best platformforming controls

I never understood how that one train mission in SA became a meme for being so difficult (when it actually wasn't at all), but everyone let this bullshit slide.

Fuel line remains my most hated GTA mission ever. Fuck this, and fuck Zero, or whatever he was called. I know it was altered and fixed for other versions, but on the PS2 at least, this was hell.

All of the swamp areas in the soulsborne games

sly 2, I fucking hated that jungle

So i take you didnt play it then? Well no point in arguing anymore

They didn't make it that far, that's why.

Because its so hard to press triangle to auto jump at those vines and x? I legit dont believe you played this as an adult probably just a shittalker who played it 10 years ago

Also there are no loading screens in the vine area you absolute mongrell

Wrong. It added welcome gameplay variety and increased the pace of the game.

Okumura's palace in Persona 5, Shido's palace on NG+

>Thank fuck I found out that the Zero Missions were optional

everything about the Boomers sucks and all the factions make you go talk to their dumb asses

I replayed hl2 recently and I don't remember any particularly bad parts.

if it already is your favorit game, why does it have THAT part, or why does THAT part bother you so much that you would not play through your favorite game once again?

since it is your favorite game, would all other, not favorite games, have much worse THAT parts, making you want to play your favorite game THAT much more?

The Act 2 desert is pretty boring imo but Act 3 is an absolute slog of dead ends backtracking.

Mass Effect 3

Is Suikoden II really worth playing? I've seen countless of comments saying it's their favorite RPG.

one of the best and most atmospheric parts, one of the worst is the trainride with the accident at the end, not only is it pretty boring, you also accumulate loads of stuff and are the furthest from a store probably in the entire game.

Dragons and 4th chapter in general in Gothic 2

>if you like something, you HAVE to LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT

>doing a 100% run in san andreas, include getting all golds on every vehicle school because i hate myself
>get all the actually hard stuff out of the way
>quit at the collectibles because its so boring and theres hundreds of them

New Londo and Izalith are a chore to play through
Tomb is kinda okay, but too short and relies too much on bullshit skeleton dogs
The Archives are great, though

The fucking RC missions

Sounds more like you just suck dick at games lol

Personally I like the swamps better than the deserts. Each Diablo 2 map is more of the same with a different coat of paint.

Fucking... do you enjoy playing any game?

I really like BOTW, but everytime I think about replaying the game I always remember the first 3-5 hours. It was great the first playthrough, but really dragged on the second playthrough. Once you get the water divine beast is when it really begins.

>doing this as Venture

>The Silent Realm trials
I absolutely dreaded having to do that shit.

It's rubber banding, you need to give him an advantage of 5 to 10 points and then start eating. Still hard though.

Shitty desert ruins in the Metroid: Prime series
Chozo Ruins
Agon Wastes
Bryo
Shit environments with samey music.

Annoying, spoiled and stupid. I also think she might be actually clinically retarded. Not in the meme way retarded, but actually mentally challenged.
The horrible writing of the "romance" doesn't help either

>want to replay Kingdom Hearts series
>remember Re:Chain of Memories

no thanks.

The underwater ruin in MegaMan Legends 2.

>Psychonauts
>The Asylum platforming
People may rag on meat circus, but at least it's got the imaginative environment.

Re:chain of memories is easy as fuck if you dont go for 100%
Just play on easy and skip all disney world cutscenes not like theres any secret endings to get

god i hate the boomers so fucking much
they are such massive faggots
the very first thing i always wanna do when i meet them is kill them all but then you don't get the item that lets you breathe underwater

Attached: 1539399770516.png (540x467, 257K)

They were actually some of the better parts of the game.

Aren't Matador and Toot-Toot the only mandatory ones?

>wanna replay skyrim for dawnguard and dragonborn
>remember i have to get through the base game first

Attached: 03C7CEB9-04E6-411A-B6BD-D54A97F112A3.png (652x1224, 425K)

Only Matador is mandatory, since he's in your path and you need to kill successive ones to unlock the next. You even need to go down to floor 2 to unlock the riders

Tony Hawk's Underground
Getting the cure for some Russian prick's hangover on high difficulties.

Attached: Hangover.png (864x440, 1.45M)

>The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap
That whole beginning part with all the dialogue and story. I wish I could just skip it all.

New Vegas/FO3, the entire game is that part incarnate

all of the southern Mojave is "that part"

I wanna redo Heavensward but I don't want to have to redo ARR to get there

Attached: p4pee1GsTR1qk7scno1_400.gif (268x268, 1.97M)

Skyrim is not so bad because you can completely avoid the Dragons awakening all together if you like
same with Oblivion and never activating the gates.

I honestly love the entire game, it's just that the Unitologist Church is my least favourite. I love Stalkers and their segments, except the first one because there are too many ways they can flank you.

*blocked*

Setting up the game is THAT part. The gunplay is THAT part. Travelling with Auto-Move across 30 miles of absolutely nothing but sand across the desert is THAT apart.
Never got the appeal of FNV and FO3 and never will.

Can relate. I am doing ARR for the first time and holy shit, I thought people were exaggerating on the hundreds of filler quests until HW starts.
They were not.
Let me OUT.

Blighttown is good though, if you're playing above 30fps lmao

I can't help but think she's dark skinned Satania every time I see her for some reason

Adhd must have hit you hard when you were young twillight town is the best part of kh3

FF X and the 200 lightning dodges.
Chocobo minigame is easy as fuck and if you struggle with it you should immediately stop playing videogames.

I'm grateful for IV:A for adding more contrast and connecting bridges to the map but sadly at cost of throwing the story and character parts into the dumpster.

It's a very cool boss, but I do not fancy being stuck at it for forever. Which is always the case.

The first Bioshock game

Suikoden 2 is really excellent. So much character customization is possible. Has lots of great returning characters also

Biggest THAT part of any game I want to replay nowadays is getting to run it on my machine. Most games I get desire to replay are from gen 5-6. There are compatibility issues, resolution and aspect ratio issues, some physics often bug out, controller doesn't get recognized properly, and the keyboard controls are awful. It's a chore trying to run any of them.

naw i just replayed it, its still p good

Just beat him last. He is pretty easy if you aren't on NG+. Now that one is a bitch.

Esctorting EVA on Snake Eater.

Witcher 3
Novigrad

Fuck this. This and the bullshit penguin curling match.

>playing novashit
might as well neck yourself right now

Tales of Symphonia, everything up until the first seal.

Just parry gorgon stares, they'll do half the job for you.

7 perfect levels beforehand that all stick out in their own ways, and then you get this fucking shit

Attached: bbg.jpg (474x361, 26K)

>Enemies hit you in powerful waves that will fuck both types of armor
>You are HEAVILY incentivised to focus on one or the other

It gets better right near the end, and hw and stormblood are much better.

For the true kino experience though you need to do the Drk story.

I hope for Banjo Threeie that the second last level is somehow worse than Rusty Bucket Bay and Grunty Industries

is it better to give everyone 4ish strength to give all 4 of my characters heavy physical armor
i'm playing on tactician and i'm nearing the end of act 2 and i swear 95% of the enemies deal mainly physical and the magic armor from the rings/amaulets is usually enough

Thats what I usually do. It's just that the DPS race playstyle is not at all how I usually play. It's like I'm suddenly thrusted into an entirely different game.

Sorry for not being a furry and thinking that playing as a luminous gaseous-bodied cowboy sounds funner than playing as a fish or plant

>playing OS2
>get to driftwood
>go too far north, get 1 shot by enemies faster than you
>go west
>get 1-shot by enemies tankier AND faster than you
>came from the south
>can only go east
It's like that complaint people had with new vegas, only real because you can't sneak your way through the proverbial cazadores
Every playthrough in my head now feels like it's going to be less fun and more "optimal order"
Divinity is hella linear, prove me wrong

I didnt mind ice spelunking with tenzin, it was a good change of pace from all the murdering you did and about to do. It wasnt that bad

If you didn't experience blighttown as it originally was, did you really experience it? I say no.

It's not linear if you play on easy

Not my favorite game but I enjoyed Skyward Sword and every time I think about replaying it I remember the fucking guardian parts.

Adapt or perish, m8. All of the lord soul bosses have a certain mechanical gimmick to them that you have to play around. If you can adapt to those, you can adapt to the 4k.

if your playing on normal, your just bad you can easily do black pits at 10 if your prepared, unirionically. but yeah its an rpg and you can't go to the final areas the second you get to the act that's like saying mario is liner cause you can't kill bowser at 1-1, and I don't why you expected differently

Shantae Half Genie Hero has a lot of fun DLC that introduces new play styles. Just that one level where you have to race the giant worm to the top is fucking miserable if you want to get all the items

DMC3, the Boss Rush level.

Really, that one? Not the underwater collectacon? Not the flying controls? Not the repeated Imprisoned fights? Not the repeated backtracking? Not the super limited enemy variety? Not the unskippable cutscenes? Not the hour long intro? Not Phai?

never thought I would see Tatianna's face on Yea Forums

youtube.com/watch?v=KGai6TvIZsA

HL2 s one of my favorites of all time, but the sewer boat sections are a nightmare because the FOV makes me nauseous, so I have to do it in steps of 10 minutes, then take 30 mins break.

I play through Doom 2 about once a year and I don't remember any section as being particularly bad. Don't remember the map names either except for the Crucible.

hello motherfucker

the swamps in dark souls 3

>that's like saying mario is liner cause you can't kill bowser at 1-1, and I don't why you expected differently
no you stupid retard that's a horrible comparison because if you're talking 64 at least it's literally jump behind bowser and toss him into thing
>but yeah its an rpg and you can't go to the final areas the second you get to the act that's like saying mario is liner cause you can't kill bowser at 1-1
>Do random elven ritual at L11

bad design

The waycastle path
Izalith
Nightmare of mensis
Pripyat
Skellige
La sewers

It's my second playthrough and I was playing on tactician both times its just that this time around there was no lolstory to keep me going and my party build was pretty similar to the first

Is that Stalker? I've played all of them. What do you not like with that part? I don't remember much of it.

>has zero hp
>Dies
I don't see the problem sir, don't fall for the 0 constitution meme

its an adventure, shit happens
get over it

Dood. KH1 is the best in the series.

Littered with hazards but next to no rewards
There's just little of interest on that map and the few main story quests there are kind of a slog

>I don't see the problem sir, don't fall for the 0 constitution meme
>implying
no you overpresumptuous faggot i was level 11 and the shrine gives no indication that once you spawn all 4 fields it's going to spawn level 15 enemies on you
You should know enough about that game to know no amount of cons can fix a 4 level gap
and yes i have a fucking dedicated loremaster which is why i was pissed off that after an hour of trekking around looking for an on-level engagement THAT's the award I get
not remotely a valid excuse in a game with "honor mode" and loremaster, fanboy

not remotely a valid excuse in a game with "honor mode" and loremaster, fanboy
how is it not?
Lol imagine wanting beforehand information in a game about adventures
you sound like a dull person, you are going to remember getting fucked hard by a mysterious elven shrine for ever then if it was just a regular fight you saw coming up
also their like 14 not 15, your only 3 levels lower and divinty expects you to be about 1 level lower than you enemies
so your 2 levels lower than you should of been and you lost 2 guys in 1 turn
that sounds like you have zero health faggot, actually go learn how to build characters and get gear
on top of that
just reload you fucking spaz, the game literally quicksaves at every possible fight so i don't get how your sub 40 iq brain couldn't figure out shit was about to go down when you fucked with weird shrines

Every boss rush before finall boss is
>that part

Attached: 1488097207696.gif (500x373, 1020K)

more like an adventure should be more open ended and less linear
because as far as im concerned for the purpose of replay value (again using new vegas as a basis) adventure should be open ended and not a matter of where I can't go
which is to say, Divinity 2 is fucking linear as all hell
>also their like 14 not 15, your only 3 levels lower and divinty expects you to be about 1 level lower than you enemies
so your 2 levels lower than you should of been and you lost 2 guys in 1 turn
Basically telling me you read no part of my statement and are basically defending your favorite game's blantant flaws way too hard
>just reload you fucking spaz, the game literally quicksaves at every possible fight so i don't get how your sub 40 iq brain couldn't figure out shit was about to go down when you fucked with weird shrines
not EVERY fight, but you would know that if you actually play the game

That fucking chess room.

look honestly dude you just sound mad you got fucked, and trying to hard to justify it in rage.
Nobody gives a shit about your shit opinion outside of very few Yea Forums threads, its a game about adventure that expects you to go certain paths, but anything outside of tactician you can get away with going in 90% of the area same as new vegas making the last bit special when your finally strong enough to go there

I mean your bitching this hard cause you got fucked by one of the easier fights in act 2
its only 4 enemies and like 2 of them don't even have relevant armor. learn 2 play unironically

What's wrong with Great Bay?

TATIANNA WAS ROBBED

bust down tatianna
i wanna see you bust down

>look honestly dude you just sound mad you got fucked, and trying to hard to justify it in rage.
and you sound like you like the game too much to admit it has flaws
>learn 2 play unironically
which is to say, the only option is a very specific set of events in a very specific order which goes back to my original point
>it's linear as fuck

>goes to weird shrine
>it spawn enemies
>dies
This gem bad
Yikes user

Unironically love that part

Dark Messiah. Spider cave.

Doing DMD right now. V's levels are the ones I eat the most shit on. That and any time I'm fighting a fury and not using Dante.

Windwaker. You know what part.

Mmbn3, undernet ranking.

All the islands?

They die in like 5 seconds if you take them on late. Or you just ignore them entirely because there is no real reason to fight them because they only give infinite but worse versions of the items you already have 500 of

>skyrim

wat. you can do like literally everything in one playthrough and every thing you do is exactly the same anyway.

why on earth would you replay vanilla skyrim ever. this tears it. Yea Forums is the worst board.

lab x16 is the best part and the scorcher is fucking awesome, idk what you're on about

As for the railgunning, yeah well that's some horse shit.

any fucking sewers level

>title defense bald bull
The game took a pretty decent leap in difficulty but that was just fucking absurd the first time going through.

What a great fun having to go on a scavenger hunt for that one ship and equipment that allows you to shoot from outside the fort's range, because there's no other way to actually fight it.

he said he likes borderlands. of course he doesn't like video games.

borderlands, skyrim, asscreed. the holy trinity of: I don't like video games but I'm miserable

Fucking Garbage. I swear half the god damn game takes a place there and no matter how many bandits you kill they keep coming forever and you can't finish them all in Clear Sky.

playing that nigger in spiderman. Playing that slut in spiderman. having to deal with a faggot flag in spiderman.

That part of Gothic 2 after you first get to Khorinis. You have to go and explore the world to join any of the factions, but you're so weak any rat will one-shot you, and you don't have access to any of the decent equipment or spells yet, so you basically play by exploiting the game: baiting enemies to NPCs, exploiting the side-swings to keep the enemy staggered, and jump on environment evading aggro zones.

Kotor 2 - Dantooine

Why does everyone struggle with the sewers?

for me it was because I was young

The driving and the boat sections are necessary to break out the pace. Fuck man, half of the time during that sections are on foot.
I swear that people that complains about it are memers who parroting other people opinions.

vtmb
like half the game

>replaying games in 2019 when there are more good games and mods than one could ever possibly enjoy
are the memes true? does Yea Forums really not like video games?

I can't even justify replaying a video game when I always have something new to play. I have like a 300 game backlog and most of that are just older roms. not to mention things like SMW hacks or half life mods etc.

>Asscreed

Unironically love Hokkaido mission, the Battery was absolute shit tho.

Because up until that point you could talk/dominate/stealth your way out of anything and most people make shit builds the first time.

I always manage to have both top tier social and combat character. IDK, managed that even on my first try at the game.

Xenogears. The sewers.

zoomer is a state of mind retard. you're just what's known as a proto zoomer.

asscreed 1 made me cry as a 14 year old because it was so bad and I spent 60 buck of christmas money on it. one of the worst games I've ever played.

I hope you die desu

Who are you quoting?

All of the puzzles in hellblade. they're not even difficult. just tedious.

I actually like it. Fuck the final boss tho, dungeon is great

Bonnie forcing you to work on her farm doesn't compare to the copy and pasted Mexico missions.

you can't say "who are you quoting" when that was literally your only argument.

based redditors making it easy to ignore them. friend me on reddit same username as my twitch account :^) I'll send a few updoots your way

Are you ok?

Doom 2016. all hell missions.
>literally just a series of arenas
meanwhile the uac environments are all interesting and diverse

Fuck that. Try getting out alive with Emma on Hard or Extreme.

It is massive compared to the other dungeons, which are all already bigger than any dungeon in OOT. This is kind of cool but there's something you need to do in practically every room and having to hit all of those fucking switches is annoying

And then Gyorg is fucking impossible to escape if you hit him in the water too far away from the platform; he will always snap to you instantly and snatch you the fuck up no matter how fast you are

I don't think any section in a game has ever been as repetitive and pointless and boring. I'm wrong but my memory is bad

It’s an sjw game what did you expect?

I hate FO3 honestly. It's the shit setting, the gunplay, the awful writing, and horrible characters. New Vegas has the same shit gunplay, but the improved writing, better characters, and setting come together to make for a fairly enjoyable post-apocalyptic western experience. It's still got problems, but it all comes together so much better than FO3 and I was actually able to enjoy myself while playing it.

Xenoblade Chronicles, Lorethea

i have literally never had a problem with this mission
git gudder

Whoever thought requiring you to go through his stage at least three times for 100% completion can go fuck themself.

Attached: Mmx5duffmcwhalen.jpg (992x837, 348K)

The main storyline of Oblivion.
It's not worth it, it's slow, tedious, and out right boring. The side quests are ultimately better then the main quest..

Damn, the Telvanni Hortator quests were the worst. I don't even remember Hlaalu, and Redoran took place mostly in Under Skar. Telvanni was a bit of hiking and buying a lot of levitation potions.

>cried for being a retard
What a pussy lmao

Anything in Resident Evil 4 after the village

Everything after IT. The game takes a big nosedive after it, which is still alright, but nowhere near the quality of the village, castle, and the first part of the island.

Final fantasy X's unskippable cutscenes
But more severily: the fucking chocobo minigame

it'd be a bit hard to balance, but i feel like terraria's combat would be significantly better if there was some kind of dark souls-esque i-frame dodge

I still don't get the meme of this mission supposedly being hard.

Every Pokémon rival trainer.

This. Fuck Detox and Alaska for what they pulled. Ruined the only good AS season
Also, every time I go back to play the copy of Final Fantasy Tactics I own I realize how slow the first few hours (and even rest of the game) are and end up emulating it just to speed the game up

Any pokemon game, the tutorial.
>have to be
You can just so the virus thing, you retard.

so basically just the shitty helicopter part and the short path to the final boss?

>shoot, airboat, shoot, Ravenholm, shoot, car, shoot, antlions, shoot, fucking wave-based turret defense section, shoot, super gravity gun
It's like they were afraid of the player getting bored with shooting in their FPS, so they added all these distraction that - ironically - made them focus less development time on the actual shooting. HL2 is fantastic on a first playthrough, but very quickly wears out its welcome

Xcom?

I had pretty fond memories of that section till I went back and replayed it

Attached: e0vH9Wp_d.jpg (640x360, 15K)

Yeah. I replay the game once every couple of years and I always quit there.

Eh, nothing about it was that offensive. Well except for the imprisoned.

Far Cry 2- The start of the 2nd map
DMC- 3rd fight with Nightmare

Buy a raptor scroll and rape the first map, ez

poe act 1-10

The dread/fear is part of the fun though. Loved those sections.

But RBB is one of the only legitimate challenges in the game. Without it the game would overall be way too easy.

Came here to post both of these

most of the Sly 1 minigames were absolutely dreadful

That one plant boss from sand level of Ys Origin.

Gta vice city junk yard to save vance.

Every time

you quit when there's like 20 minutes of gameplay left?

>Guardian Ape
>Even worse because I lag like a motherfucker because of the water.

The entire Southern Shelf before you get to Sanctuary.

Monsters inc world in KH3, its just corridors for 2 hours instead of something creative

yes

Kingdom Hearts 2 FM is the best by a significant margin

Digimon Story cyber slueth

the guy with the invincible black war greymon and metalgarurumon

Jesus Christ this. Plus they all look exactly the same throughout so it drives me insane when I'm looking for secrets

Menial bullshit in GTA. Bet you forgot about the tow truck mission in 5, huh?

Fuck off Gabe

I forgot everything about gta5 because most of the missions are pure fucking nonsense.

Persona 3
All of it

First half of Dragons Dogma

Pre hardmode terraria is one of my favorite parts
Especially when playing with a group of anons
>Rushing to get chests and loot
>Spelunking down caves throwing on whatever shitty armor you can
>Barely killing the EoC with shit bows
>building comfy NPC houses
>Making staffs and hooks
>Enemies are actually scary and you have to watch your footing
>No ridiculous power levels
>Discovering each new biome in the underground
Unironically the THAT part of terraria is early hardmode, good god to wings make the game to easy, and the mech bosses are a chore. Thankfully plantera is pure gold

Peragus from KoTOR2 I guess

Peach Wilkins inventory reset.
At least the remaster fixed it.

SMT: Strange Journey
Motherfucking Eridanus good lord

Ninja gaiden 2 stairs(have yet to play it on X)
DMC4 boss rush and DMC5 boss rush with V (fucking why)
Arkham knight riddler driving

Yeah, that part with The Many wasn't that great but after that the last level was fucking great.

It's definitely overkill to call the entire second half bad. I think bonfire warping is the real culprit; the world stops feeling like a continuous whole when you can skip around it at will and the levels were designed to be traversed only one-way then warped out of.

Rusty Bucket Bay

>replaying vtmb
>dreading the part where you have to go through the long-ass sewers in hollywood to find the nosferatu dudes
>get to it but randomly discover the really short cut
>mfw

Attached: 1387307652129.jpg (161x131, 5K)

i dont think its that bad that i have to drop it
but i agree that last stretch is really intolerable

for me at least the lab section made up for it so its okay

Trash coast
Sawtooth cauldron.

>Kotor 1 - Taris.
Tasteless in the extreme. One of the comfiest worlds in vidya.

mgs 2 3 and 4's final chapters

>Tfw played gangrel and I don't remember having that much trouble at that section.
I played with the patch though. Maybe I took the shortcut and didn't even realise it.

>Darksiders 2 world of the dead
Name a longer, more tedious, more "get me the fuck out of here already" world

Dead ahead in hotline miami 2

Thief II: The Metal Age: Casing the joint and the mask

THIS
basically i was playing a classic resident evil game without noticing it

It's the reason I never finished the game. So boring, endless gray, the same "complete three tasks to complete one of these three tasks" bullshit, even more gray.

Attached: 1560348327306.jpg (689x540, 33K)

All of V levels on DMCV. I fucking hate them

The entirety of Hotline Miami 2 because that game is bullshit hard.

>Borderlands 2 - The 'Dam fine rescue' mission and beyond
fucking same, it's just so long, especially after doing it a few times
killing angel sucks too, just a time eater. As much flak as the unfunny humor gets, the serious parts of bl2 are just as lame.

Valkyria chronicles bosses are either a waste of time or a cheese fest depending on which way you want to go

Crucifiction woods in Dark Souls 3

should i play remaster or the original?
i heard there are problems with remaster

>Divinity 2
>taking over the island plus all the portal realms

Original with the physics fix.
pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/BioShock#Remove_physics_and_animation_frame_rate_cap

>The trek to vault city when you are a low level bitch.
>San Francisco
Fallout 2 has a shit pacing unlike Fallout 1

yeah with wesp's patch after one specific version number onwards maybe. Vanilla nope

If I can give you some advice: Play it again. Hm2 is one of those games that only get more fun to play the better you are at it. The first playthrough can be really frustrsting because you play over-cautiously. But when you get good enough to rush through the levels, finding the ultimate route to do huge combos and pulling these off it's satisfying as fuck.

Phazon mines in Metroid Prime 1

>when you suit up to walk on the outside in K2's peragus station
>when you start walking sanic fast because obsidian sped up the walking by 300% from K1

>Original Sin 2. The Prison.
The whole game.

Dude, I gave up on KH as a kid because of Tarzan, too.

I had some serious graphical issues with the remaster originally but got a new GPU and everything worked then. The backgrounds and skyboxes(seaboxes) were missing.
The original from 2007 still looks great on modern systems, honestly, and aside from resetting your inventory on the second major level it's perfectly fine.
Make sure you disable subtitles.

Attached: comparison.jpg (3840x1080, 1.23M)

the entire second half of DMC4 and every other boss in DMC3 as well as all missions past Vergil 2

I actually really enjoy Marble garden for it's plethora of rings, it's never bugged me to wander around and hoard a ton of continues

Carnival Night is a shitshow though, the miniboss, the time constraint, the barrel, and all of act 2 in general are just agonizing

SMTI the final dungeon is the epitome of everything I fucking hate of classic dungeon crawlers
>Warping tiles
>The floor hurts you
>Tiles that make you fall to the floor below
>Having the map hidden behind 2 menus
>Random enemies can cast instant death spells, meaning you can't just auto battle as you could for the better part of the game
>No distinction from one room to another

>spidershits
>in metro 2033

Literally every chapter in Mother 3 before Chapter 4. Especially Chapter 3.

thanks mates, guess i'll play the original then

I WON'T LET YOU TAKE KAIRI'S HEART

Primm is so comfy what are you talking about?
youtube.com/watch?v=Cv6JLIivu8g

i did play it twice back to back (second time on hard). i will play it again someday because i legit love almost everything about the game except for the stupid level design.

chapter 2 personally made me never replay mother 3 again

>any game
>remember that I have hundreds of other games I either haven't finished or want to play
>end up doing other things or playing TF2

Civ V: Late game
>Science, time and culture victory all feel like shit
>Diplomatic victory is nearly impossible for a human player to achieve and I cba to kiss the AIs' asses all game and agree to shit deals and generally be a bitch
>Domination victory on large maps takes fucking forever but the AI always eventually turn on you

I wish playing with AI allies didn't mean that my AI allies can drag me into their stupid wars and peace deals.

Detox actually regretted her decision but it was too late to change. At least roxxxy gave us her iconic verse

The pokemon ranger mission where you have to get through stupid security stuff. And canned heat in EBA

FFXII
Inside of the Great Crystal

fuck the fade so much

Same.
>first time:
>Holy shit! you get to be a shopkeeper! I am going to make so much money now! It's like I'm really a grown up!
second time:
>MOTHER FUCKING RNG BULLSHIT! I'VE FAILED THIS BULLSHIT 40-50 TIMES IN A FUCKING ROW!

I actually had to look up a speedrunning RNG manipulation trick because that nigger was one of the last guys I needed to recruit everyone.

The combination of low ammo count and the forced use of the gravity gun makes the game a chore.

DSfix fixed it.
