Hollow Knight was great, but there were parts of the design that felt more like they were meant to be easily developed than enjoyable.

They definitely made the simplistic art style and basic moveset work well with the game's overall design, but when I think about the game, I can't help but think about how much more I might have enjoyed it with more production value.

Bloodstained has that production value, and the price difference is an hour of my pay. For a game I'm expecting at least a dozen hours of entertainment out of, that's worth the money to avoid thinking about production value for a decent portion of the time.
