Yea Forums is always complaining about Archers having skills like "Arrow Rain" or "Poison Arrow" because they think it's boring and generic.
So if you're so smart Yea Forums why don't you come up with some unique skills that Archers can have?

Acupuncture arrows that can paralyze or cripple when shot on specific pressure points.
Summon time dogs.
Who complains about arrow rain? That shit is awesome.
Would be cool for an action game.
Arrow with a fucking rope tied to it.
Set up trip lines
Shoot someone and then pull them to you
Arrow Rain 2
Arrows that home in on a target then circle around to create a tornado. The more arrows orbiting the stronger and quicker the tornado will be.
What if instead of shooting arrows, you shot swords?
The bow is a melee weapon
The shafts of the arrows unfold into wooden spiders that seek your target to stab the arrow in themselves, or if landed, try to pull themselves out of the target to increase bleeding.
I like dis
Arrow Rain 2 is too powerful for mere mortals.
alright, how about Arrow Rain 1.5?
This is an underutilized concept, the only game I can think of is Thief
so basically a grappling hook in arrow form
that sounds pretty sick
Arrow with healing pots tied to it.
Pots break, heals allies.t
STOP POSTING CUTE GIRLS
FUCK
triple consecutive arrow with one tip hitting the other end for xtra pierce power
But how do I start eyecatching Yea Forums threads without cute girls?
user, I'm going into archery practice and I need your strongest arrow rain.
how about arrow rain 2 ex my dude
arrow with arrows tied to it
Nu Tomb Raider does this so much and it's just retarded and unrealistic.
video of anime girl/boy summoning arrow from arsehole to shoot.webm
How about instead of an arrow, you put a sword in your bow, so when you shoot it it shoots a sword. You can call it a swordrow
skill that shoots five arrows in a wide spread but the same enemy can be hit by multiple arrows
so now all of a sudden your frail backline attacker wants to be up front to deal mondo damage
high risk high reward
You stole this idea from me!
It's only a boy, no girl
No user it's my original idea I already copyrighted it. You'll be hearing from my lawyers soon.
piercing rebound arrow, shoot arrow through an enemy, it rebounds against wall and hits someone else, it can rebound again and hit someone.
These are both in Dragon's Dogma
An arrow that has a punching glove instead of arrowhead, causes big knockback.
shit really? im gonna go play that then
broadheads for big targets
bodkins for kniggas
barbed arrows for chaff infantry
Homing arrows like QAAMs in Ace Combat
Green Arrow, please.
CALADBOLG
No shes not cute
She abandoned her childhood friend after finding out that hes a clone
>Allow archers to spec into STR
>maximize range via draw strength
>maximize projectile mass by chugging literal spears at the enemy instead of puny toothpicks
>lower DEX means greater standard deviation
>arrow shower renamed to spear deluge, larger AoE and range, but increased spread
>pros: strong at both short range (point blank) and long range (artillery fire)
>cons: weak at mid range
There you go senpai.
She abandons the clone she thought was her childhood friend for her real childhood friend, but she's still kinda nice to the clone she just isn't after his dick anymore.
Holy arrows that deal guaranteed critical damage against evil aligned creatures and turn undead upon impact
Turning arrows

And this thing, whatever it is

>still kinda nice to the clone
no
>Allow archers to spec into AGI
>Use shortest bow available for maximum mobility
>Gameplay revolves around footsies and acrobatics at close range to avoid attacks
>Each time you avoid an attack, your next ability automatically crits
>Spray the fucker with your high attack speed if he ignores you
Archers are fun
Damn, I just googled that and looks like I was beaten to it.
Game, please? Will download and play the moment I get the answer.
Tales of the Abyss. She's like the last party member to join you (though I think it's only like 5-6 hours into the game)
Not for archers but Etrian's gunner has skills that target and cripple/bind limbs and heads.
I thought Archers had those as well? I remember my Archer in EO4 being able to bind feet and heads.
Archers in FFTA do that too
Archers do have that too
Shoot a broadhead, if it connects you can run and do a melee attack to remove it, inflicting burst damage and bleed.
Honestly I didn't like any of the girls in the party (Tear is ok I guess), especially Anise which should just die in a fucking fire. Guy is based.
pantyhose make my dick hard
Natalia is cute and perfect for hate fucking.
My arrow rains are too powerful for you.
The arrow but it's a bad dragon dildo.
Boomerang arrows.
Surprise enemies with attacks from behind.
Get arrows back if they miss.
Magic imbued arrows. Magic that activates when the arrow hits the target.
You. I like you.
What about an archer who fires a grappling hook then uses it to fling themselves around to kick people in the face or position themself better for the normal arrow skills
Just make the bow satisfying to fire with different types of arrows for different effects, like you have to charge it up to fire and if it lands it makes an enemy stumble or something. I actually kindof hate that in alot of games they are treated as machine guns that do lots of little damage.
Red arrow. No effect, it's just really red
What about green?
Katamari arrow: after hitting an object, it will be pulled towards the destination of your subsequent shot. The force is short lasting and proportional to the archer's skill. If its enough for the first object to make contact with the second, those two objects are stuck together for a while and subject to the same effect. Enemies struck by the object as it moves around take damage proportional to the objects size and weight. If they are defeated, they become stuck to it as well. Sticking more things to the ball keeps it together longer.
What if instead of shooting swords, you shot yourself?
So dragons dogma again?
Shoot to teleport could be a fun movement/evasion ability.
That one Indian mythology arrow that's a nuke
FFTA had this.
Zielregen is neat in Disgaea
I liked unique arrows in D&D games like Icewind Dale. Some were poisoned, and I think some of them teleported enemies they struck and shit
How about you shoot swords that you can teleport to.
Using the arrows as melee-range weapons.
Fuck it, the bow too.
>cut bowstring in enemy's face
>massive damage from snapback
>high chance of blinding enemy
>archer needs to take a turn to restring the bow before it may be used again
I'm a retard and somehow forgot to write sure after not
Party arrow: Has a streamer tied to it. Can be upgraded to rain confetti over the flight path and play a horn.
Squeaky toy arrow: Doesn't do a lot of damage, but produces a satisfying sound effect that brightens the victim's day
The heroes of the storm version of Hanzo's scatter arrow, which was actually about aiming well and bouncing arrows off walls instead of just being a RPG on a stick was pretty cool.
someone please post that webm of the archer pulling and making a magic arrow from the precum of his ass
