>'Old Town Road' makes country music cool again and brings cowboys back in the mainstream >thought this would show Sony that cowboys are cool again, and that they would make a new Wild Arms because of this reinvigoration >still no new Wild Arms and probably never ever Wild Arms
Oh, you're looking for the graveyard of deceased jrpgs? Here you are haha:
>Breath of Fire >Suikoden >Shadow Hearts >Chrono >Arc the Lad >Parasite Eve >Grandia >Star Ocean >Lunar >.hack >Shining >Dark Cloud >Ar Tonelico >Valkyrie Profile >Magna Carta >Blue Dragon >Phantasy Star >Final Fantasy

>I swear! Lone Bird in the Shire... youtu.be/V9Nvju7zDrA >...is not a rip-off of Ecstasy of Gold! youtu.be/AZhYCERJp4s >It's a homage! A HOMAGE, I am telling you!
Juan Cox
at least the composer is still kicking ass after all these years
I liked the first Wild ARMs so much that I wish Sony someday would remember they were decent at making JRPGs like that, Arc of Lad or The Legend of Dragoon but probably will never happen now that they focus more on western devs than jap ones.
On the same vein, while not a track made by her, I find this youtube.com/watch?v=-qxUB1EkKtM to be very on point with WA3 dungeons soundtracks.
I was sad they removed the stage in Plus

i only played the first wild arms, are the sequels worth it?

Why don't jrpgs have unique settings/premises anymore, like Cowboys or Pirates? A recent, played out trend I've noticed with jrpgs lately is a school life or urban city setting/premise.
>Caligula Effect >Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE >Persona 5 >Tokyo Xanadu >Blue Reflection >Trails of Cold Steel series >Conception >FF Type 0
And now SMT 5 looks like Persona 5 and seems to be set in Tokyo.
That's the game where you select the strongest attack over and over for two of three characters for the whole game. Released in the same year as Fallout, Final Fantasy 7 etc.
It's not even funny user.
John Stewart
It's the only one with a half-way decent story and characters. No one plays JRPGs for their shitty combat.
So you'll sit through hours of that rubbish combat to enjoy the enthralling story of runaway princesses, special teenagers and ancient alien weapons (aka like every JRPG story ever?)
