The PC version is one of the few they went back and tried to fix. I don't know how much of it they fixed but I think the textures and the fonts are better now, maybe. I'm not paying twenty bucks to find out.

FF7 is much worse with the overrated annoying factor.

Originally the "HD" sprites were one of the worst things you could imagine.
Surprisingly the developers actually listened to complaints and patched in an original graphics option. The only problems, that I know of, are a few small left over mobile things. Like HP bars on the characters in battle. And the translation removed a bit of Frog's frogginess.

It is one of the best RPGs out there.
each character has a defined role and abilities. game play is fast paced and you have to react right or die.
the characters each have their own personality and story.
New Game + and multiple ending makes playing it again fun.

Good game but FF6 is better.

The only thing Square could do to justify a new entry is to make a new game that just focuses on the same mechanics and time-specific narrative. Keep it unrelated to the first two Chrono titles.

Square Enix were selling sealed copies of the Chrono Trigger DS on their web store for $5 each and there was no purchase limit. I still wish I bought like 30 of them.

It was pretty much a fire sale and they were getting rid of most of their DS, Vita and 3DS stock. Everything under $10 and this happened less than two years ago. I was an idiot and diversified my purchases and got some copies of Final Fantasy Explorers and Vita FFX when I should have just got enough Chrono Triggers to build a pyramid with.

DS and 3ds are a good example on how kikeish the industry is these days. DS and 3ds had $20 MSRP on release day physical copies that have the game on cart, the box, and even a manual, yet people find it acceptable that they are being charged more than a few cents for a fucking download.

SNES version is superior. Frogs dialogue all changed in DS version for the worse.

Also barely requires any grinding.
