The best
Game has a tournament arc

As a fan of Paper Mario, tournament arcs, RPGs, and pro wrestling, yeah the Glitz Pit is the best part of the game.
What games other than TTYD have done this? I like the trope and would be into trying other games that do it (that aren't just straight up fighting games).
Fable 1
>go to fight the iron clefts
>get told to only let mario attack by the rng rules system
shit chapter
Super Paper Mario has a chapter where you have to fight 100 Sammer Guys back to back but that specific world fucking ends halfway through and you go back to an empty void for the chapter boss. After you save the entire world you can come back and do the full challenge, though.
Fable 1, Golden Sun, Oblivion, and STALKER come to mind
happened to me on my first playthrough and every time I worry about it happening again.
Legend of dragoon
Is it worth it to try to find a European version of TTYL to play my 4 year old save from chapter 3 or should I just restart on a US version?
Dragon Quest IV
Just like in my shounen jump animes
Ratchet: Deadlocked
Lisa: the joyful
KOTOR
>have to do it at level 2 if you want the superior jedi minmaxing
the first and last time I ever used mines or grenades in Kotor
THE GREAT GONZALEZ
Oblivion has it. It was my favorite part of the game.
Just restart, my dude. The sooner you start playing the less time you’ll spend asking on Yea Forums.
>tournament arc is the entire game
weakest non-BN1 installment in the series desu
Did somebody say tournament?
Can you really call 4 fights that take place over the course of 3 minutes an arc
sorta.
Xenogears sorta kinda
DQ11
Octopath Traveler
Rawk Hawk was the only real draw in the glitz pit
Gonzales and his band of Jannetty's couldn't draw a dime
Why is the music in this game so fucking good
