Monolith Soft put out a hiring request for a new massive game back in March.
How long until we see Xenoblade 3 or X 2? What features/aesthetic choices would you most want to see in the new game?

Probably in two year, there was a recent interview that go over xenoblade developing process so that could help
I personally want an x port before anything seems like a good way to introduce people who started with blade 2
I want X2. Not sure what the story would be, direct sequel, people from different earth ship that landed on other side of mira, big ass timeskip, etc who the fuck knows with monolithsoft? Could be anything.
Hopefully never, these games fucking blow
It should be a direct sequel due to x ending
aint the massive game Zelda BotW 2? i heard that they were doing the environments and level design for the game
I'd rather they design Zelda's outfits.
Imagine Zelda in an outfit as revealing as Pyra's
Never gonna happen normalfags can't handle it
Post Nia doing cosplays.
I dunno, I don't think Zelda's design should ever go lewder than Hyrule Warriors. It fits Pyra's character but not Zelda's.
I would like if xbc2 had the same combat that Torna did
This the last one she needs to color.
i wouldn't
If they bring back blades, please dont make the majority of them waifu bait. I'd also like them to incorporate some way to play as your blade. I always thought it was so cool how pyra was fighting malos in the beginning. Having them stand behind drivers can seem a little lame at times.
>back in March
Not sure what you're talking about, the Xenoblade (or another Takahashi RPG, at least) hiring page went up in October of last year.
Anyways, they've indicated that they want to take more time with their next game, since 2's development time was shorter and it also had to deal with the reduced staff due to BOTW. Thankfully a lack of staff shouldn't be an issue for the next game, since they seem to have multiple teams for Takahashi's projects and Zelda stuff now, but I think a longer dev time than XB2 is basically guaranteed.
I think the Xenoblade fanbase has gotten a little too used to constantly getting news due to the way 2's DLC was released. It's not the end of the world if we go a year or two with no major teases, it just means they're not rushing things.
>I'd also like them to incorporate some way to play as your blade.
Pay Torna the Golden Country
>I'd also like them to incorporate some way to play as your blade.
They did that in Torna - each party member is a 'team' with one driver and two blades, and you can switch between the driver and the blades in combat.
Some of the things added in Torna's combat ended up making it tedious and not as fun as the main game for me, but that part wasn't one of them. It got such a positive response from the playerbase that if they do decide to bring back blades they'd be foolish to go back to making them unplayable again.
2 was developed in 3 years. The usual time it takes most games.
I want the new games to use the environment to be useful in battle
I want a xenoblade action game
They're probably working on botw2, but I think x2 or 3 is inevitable though. X port first so that skip lads can play
- Engine upgrade. Resolution issues combined with lack of AA and that weird dithering effect looks pretty disgusting
- Rare blades felt like they had weak characterization, more ways to interact would be good (or with party members if next game doesn't have blades)
- Don't change things (character designs etc.) to try to appeal to the west
XCX2. They should alternate, keep it fresh. I like mainline but the MMO-type freeform build feeling of X, plus the fuggin robots, makes it superior to me.
I really can't put into words how fun it was to make my Knife / Assault Rifle build work in X, like a puzzle that all came together.
>still no Xeno Warriors
Kill me
Plot twist: they were actually hiring for BotW 2.
They've been hiring for both, and possibly a third game.
wouldn't the third game be that kino-looking fantasy thing?
Yes.
Better to hit the ground running and make 3. Making a none number game would kill momentum.
