One of the best consoles ever made. Had (((nvidia))) not screwed Sony over with their gimped GPU and if ꜱoydevs hadn't cried about "waaahhhh Cell to hard to code for" it would have been even better. Thankfully SonyChad first party devs delivered on the goods.

MGS4 is definitely not the best MGS but it's much better than the unfinished mess of a story that is the Phantom Pain (- the gameplay)

No games, at least for the first few years. Even by the time it did get games, they were still inferior to most PS and PS2 games (inb4 seething zoomers; the PS3's library was trash, deal with it).

Looking back on it the PS3 really was the weakest of the bunch. PlayStations 1 & 2 were seriously hyped and well loved for the time that they were around and are generally fondly remembered as the go to gaming system of the 90s and early 00s and the PS4 offers much more to it than its predecessors did in terms of services and the amount of games it had, the PS3 however was just kinda there and then it wasn't.

in all honesty it picked up in its last few years. too expensive, awful exclusives in its first years. more baffling is that microsoft saw the horrid launch of this thing and managed to fuck up even more with the xbone. i feel sorry for anyone who bought a ps3 purely for ff13 or gran turismo
