The issue is that people will go ahead and similarly shit on an anime character for the exact same thing despite them also potentially training exactly as long for that same power, and even then, they are usually only specialized in one particular path. People love to shit on Alucard for being this comically overpowered mess of wank, but he's been either directly at war or involved in wars or simply killing powerful vampires since the 1400's with everything from a normal longsword to a SR-71, and in the 2000's, all he's gotten is better access to weapons and his ability to steal blood and souls has blossomed into where he's at presently. But one is considered anime bullshit and the other is considered reasonable realistic Western fiction.

The thing is that vilebloods are psuedo vampires, so they can regenerate from attacks. Smashing them into messes leaves nothing to chance. The only exception is the queen who the leader chooses to guard, or rather keep in her room.

I understood it as each 'strain' of blood was attributed to a different old one and caused a different kind of mutation. The blue bubble heads, the werewolves, the vampires, and the moonblood of the protagonist locking him into that dream. Cainhurst found the vampire blood in the chalice dungeons and that set them at odds with the church who was using the beast blood.
