I don't understand it. Blizzard wants Overwatch to be a lifestyle brand but the story and lore is completely detached from the main game. The only way to enjoy Overwatch is on a competetive level because there's no single player or PVE modes. Blizzard makes such a big deal out of the characters and stuff but it feels completely detached from the actual game experience.

Everything about Overwatch feels incoherent and I just don't get it. It was the next big thing from Blizzard and currently the only thing they care about, and I can't get into it, which basically makes Blizzard irrelevant to me for now.

None of the new content is fun, everything is a grind including the new allied races. The big thing is just there's no appeal to the skinnerbox like their used to be, everything is so blatant on what it's purpose is. There's no class-based gear or anything that would make you want to play an alt like in Legion, and there's no challenge content either.

Timegated content designed to keep you artificially subscribed, new races which are one of the main selling point of the expansion locked behind massive boring grinds and not actually available until half a year after release, easy content, shit story, new races are just reskins of already existing ones, increasing amount of shop mounts, you can buy boosts

Legion lore was pretty cool, some fan service, revisiting some older places, Illidan going full madman and actually winning, interesting plot points everywhere.
BfA been going for like 10 months now and nothing. They been stretching the "Sylvanas is a madwoman, every horde headfigure is about to backstab her, and Azshara is doing something" plot for as long as they can. The lore hasnt changed much since the fucking release of BfA. Everything on the expansion so far was filler.

City building games like Stronghold aren't RTS. Total War is an hybrid, it can be completely Turn Based Strategy or a hybrid Turn Based Strategy and Real Time Strategy, but never a true Real Time Strategy game.
