Robin seems like his magic will be less limited and more damage focused than Hero while Hero is more physical with some utility spells.

A lot of the ones we've seen seem to focus on large single-hit swings. I really like that. Link had too many multi-hits with odd timing for my liking, especially in the air. The Hero having simpler normals with complex specials is very appealing.
