The steam sale is approaching rapidly, Yea Forums. Share really good games and ask for recommendations.
>BallisticNG
store.steampowered.com
It's Wipeout but on PC. Fast as fuck, highly skilled racing action, with an incredible soundtrack.
>Blood: Fresh Supply
store.steampowered.com
A good port of Blood, much better than the previous version on Steam. It still has some flaws, but is getting updated quite often and supports 144+ fps, ultrawide resolutions, quakepro FOV, etc.
>BUTCHER
store.steampowered.com
The game the Carrion guys made before working on Carrion. A 2D loveletter to Doom, it's very challenging but very fair, rewards playing levels as if speedrunning them, and is just all-around fucking cool and deeply underrated.
>Dominions 5 - Warriors of the Faith
store.steampowered.com
One of the finest turn based strategy games ever made, produced over decades by only two Swedish dudes with degrees in religion or some shit. Play as one of many nations in a massive holy war wherein the incarnated deities of the cultures of the world race for dominance and for the title of the one true god. Be warned, it's a big fucking game, with thousands of units, dozens of nations, countless spells, etc.
>EARTH DEFENSE FORCE 4.1 The Shadow of New Despair
store.steampowered.com
An extremely difficult but fun third person shooter, defend the planet with neat ass weapons and shoot some fucking ants in the face. Great alone or with friends, but it's grindy as fuck. EDF 5 and EDF Iron Rain are both out console, but will only come to PC if there's enough interest in the west for them.

>GemCraft - Chasing Shadows
store.steampowered.com
It's just a singleplayer tower defense game, but fuck is it well made. Highly recommended if you just want a game to chill with, but don't be fooled, it's no cakewalk.
>The Haunted: Hells Reach
store.steampowered.com
Kind of a cheap shitty zombie survival third person shooter, but it's still tons of fun with friends, it's easy to learn and surprisingly addictive.
>Ion Maiden
store.steampowered.com
If you like Blood, Doom, Duke Nukem, or Dusk, you absolutely must play this game. Currently it is in early access but will release fully soon, and the two chapters available currently are fantastic. These guys are currently getting fucking sued by Iron Maiden for "copyright infringement," throw them some cash and a couple good words.
>Ittle Dew 2+
store.steampowered.com
A fucking adorable LOZ-like with very fluid combat, excellent puzzles, and countless secrets that are all completely fair, rewarding to find, and unnecessary to beat the game. Recently got an update that added a special stage previously exclusive to the Switch.
>Nioh: Complete Edition
store.steampowered.com
Although Nioh 2 will be out soon, it'll probably be some time before it's out on PC, and Nioh itself is a fucking fantastic game. Think Dark Souls except more fast paced, it's almost like a character action game. All enemies have stamina meters and humans become staggered when their meters deplete, however yokai (monsters) will not always become staggered, instead they will take greatly increased hitstun and become easily comboed to death. Netcode is also better than Dark Souls.
>Pathologic 2
store.steampowered.com
A remake of the original Pathologic; if you passed on the game due to all of the walking, the irritating and boring combat, the shitty translation and unnecessarily flowery dialogue, its bugs, or just because it's old, but you were fascinated by the game's lore and atmosphere, you owe it to yourself to try the game, as it is an incredible improvement. Currently it is in early access and only the Haruspex is playable.
>Risk of Rain 2
store.steampowered.com
An update is coming soon, with more to follow. 3D third person shooter roguelite, incredible fun with friends, shit gets fucking crazy after a few levels though so read up on items and figure out fun builds.
will DMC5 be worth getting during the sale
It's worth getting at full price desu. It was recently down to 40 bucks for a sale, it'll likely be around that price again.
Been thinking about Squad and or Insurgency, might get them of on sale
Squad is great as long as you don't look for CSclone. It's not really that much about shooting and you rarely see the enemy (but close combat does eventually happen). It's very comfy though.
Are they any Armored Core-like games on Steam?
Can someone rec some good two player games? Co-op or versus, as well as games that support more than two players but are still good with just two. Online is a must
I hate women.
I recently bought the first Pathologic. Is it still worth playing or should I just get Pathologic 2 instead?
>Shilling before there even is a sale
>Still falling for the Summer Sale meme
I'd say so but not everyone likes pathologic 1. It's a hard game, and walking is boring. But pathologic 2 makes references to pathologic 1, if you play pathologic 1 you'll pick up on some subtle hints in 2. some of the realizations you'll make in pathologic 2 as a result of playing pathologic 1 will be heartbreaking, it's rewarding.
I have all the games I want right now, really. I'm mostly hoping my buddy can get some stuff so we can do co-op.
People are discussing games they want before the sale because they want to think about what games they are getting
When is this shit supposed to start?
pretty sure near the 25th
The 25th approximately
OP is literally advertising.
If you still think it's worth waiting for a Steam sale or that Steam has good prices, then you need your brain repaired
found the epic shill
thanks lads
Anyone criticizing Steam used to be called some kind of console player. Now you get called an Epic shill.
You should upgrade your shill guide to come up with less predictable responses.
there hasn't been a good steam sale since 2012.
>looking at my steam library
>all those games
>suddenly feeling nauseated at all the money I wasted on games I'll never play
I want to go back.
>EDF 4.1
>hard
it's only hard in the later missions, the first half as long as you don't go with a retarded loadout it's easy enough
also EDF 5 PC port fucking when
Reccomend me some top tier online games bros.
what are better prices i can activate on steam? i heard of others but also that your keys can be lost so i'm scared of dealing with anyone that isn't the dev themselves or major retailers.
i'm not buying any games until i'm done with the ones i haven't played yet
i really want to play rain world though
I might try this "steam sale" thing, I don't have steam at the moment.
Do they offer EPIC store keys?
I think gemcraft is like $3 on fanatical in a bundle right now.
I think most of the rest are cheaper on G2A
no but the developers don't pull their games from the store during a steam sale
I cant run squad anymore but yeah it was comfy.
no but rest assured you will not have your account deactivated for buying more than 4 games
>sekiro is still on the front top seller page
It's been three months. Please tell me it's going to be on sale.
is that another souls clone? i can't see the hype.
not a clone, another souls game
why, my peenus weanus of course :)
hahaha! :D
it's my weeeeeenus peanus! :) hahah
ITT: Share really good games - my answer is, of course, my peanus weenus :D
hahaha!
For co-op I'm sunking hundreds of hours into Warhammer Vermintide 2 and I started playing again L4D2
>Battle Brothers
store.steampowered.com
A brilliant turn based tactics game about building up a mercenary band in a low fantasy shithole of a world. Brutally difficult starting out and can be treated either as a roguelite where you struggle to make money while training up a squad of farmers and vagabonds to survive while killing brigands, zombies, and weak monsters, or it you can savescum away and try to build up a perfect band to take on armies of massive heavily armored orcs (pic related), noble soldiers, or skeleton legionaries that outnumber your men 3:1. Also has absolutely amazing music that fits the game perfectly: youtube.com
Should be going down to $15 in the sale judging by the last sale, and I highly recommend it for that price.
why didn't they just call it souls?
I bet it goes on sale for 15% off
Fucking steam shills at it again. Go back to steam forums. This thread belongs to EGS gang now
Souls are something for westerners (dragons, knights in armor), this game is about Japanese people, who don't have souls but do die twice
why didn't they call bloodborne souls?
it doesn't really matter
Will starbound have a sale? I really feel like trying it out.
>buying single player games
Love not being a dumb zoomer/boomer
This thread belongs to El Goonish Shive?
>he does it for free (copies of indie games)
DMC5 has multiplayer though.
Yes
what is elden ring about then?
You realize you can get every non-multiplayer game for free if you pirate it, right?
>b-but I wanna support the devs
You're already buying this shit at -75% like a cheap jew if you wanted to support them you would've paid full price
I'm boutta buy Pulasr lost colony. I believe its playa le with just 2, but slightly more would likely be better
Humble Store has multiple sales on, GoG just had their Summer sale end. Doesn't tend to beat Steam on prices but at least you get a DRM free version.
I believe Amazon still sells Steam keys. They used to have good deals especially if you registered in a different country but I think that's not possible anymore.
Gamesplanet, Wingamestore, Gamersgate, Gamesrocket, Greenmangaming and a couple others are legit shops that get their keys from publishers.
There are price comparison sites like isthereanydeal.com
Is steam offering epic keys? I don't want to use american spyware software on my pc, thanks for the replies fellow anons
>every year, same shiet
recommend me new shit that I probably haven't seen before. I play literally any genre.
i only trust gog installers thogh
Currently a poorfag. It will take some game I really want with a fantastic discount to get me this year.
they don't care about supporting devs or they'd buy shit on discord or epic and they're too dumb to just pirate things. steam is just GAYMUR Facebook now where a bunch of furries, trannys, and incels hoard shit they'll never play so they can get trading cards worth fake money and get upcummies from other redditors on their faggy "funny" reviews
Any gud PC fightan?
I have UNIST, umvc3, mk11 (barf), base tekken 7, and sfv that i quit playing a year after release shit was trash. i have skullgirls but dont have all the dlc. I have fighting layer EX too and DBFZ season1 dlc not 2.
caveblazers
I recommend you not buy anything from publishers that took epic bribes. Blacklist with the gear on the right.
I'm still not sure what to think about the Ion Maiden lawsuit. It's not like Iron Maiden invented those words.
Got a list?
Not steam but is the South Park game Fractured but Whole worth it?
90% off on Uplay right now, just wary because I know its different than the first one
Time for another disappointing Steam "Sale". At least I get to boost my Steam profile level with free cards.
Do they have Cave Explorer?
I want to play Cave Explorer
Devil Daggers.
youtube.com
did you know that fractured but whole sounds like fractures butthole?
what r some good side scrollers Yea Forums?
maybe you've seen it here on Yea Forums already but crosscode is a good game
Snapped up Borderlands 2 GOTY already since it and TPS were $6, knowing that by the time the sale started they'd be either be no longer on sale or they'd be at a worse sale price.
Some demos (or older free builds) I remember enjoying were stuff like Aragami, TRI, Masquerada, Warlock's Tower, Code7, Underhero, Forager, Feather or Aer (I mix them up too much), Heroes of Umbra, Spinnorality, The Forgotten City...
Likewise from off Steam I loved Flower, Fairune, deBlob, Shenmue, and The Room so I'm watching out for good sales. Thought about grabbing Flower but I heard the port was so-so.
Or people could just shut the fuck up and let people talk about, look forward to and enjoy vidya. Like a civilized society.
They can't call Sekiro "Souls" because it's not part of the story of either the Demon's Souls or the Dark Souls franchises.
youtube.com
Is the Bioshock remaster any good? I enjoyed Bioshock on my xbox 360 back in 08, but it's a FPS, so it should be on pc. That said, I heard that it was an awful remaster.
There wouldn't be Summer Sale this year.
Steam is finished.
Yes I did but hows the game
I have motion sickness just from looking at 10 seconds of gameplay, thanks
not a complete list but here are a few
Deep Silver
Annapurna Interactive
Devolver Digital
Tripwire Interactive
Private Division
Psyonix, Inc.
No, but you get the original for free with it and that runs fine for the most part. You just need to tweak some stuff to improve the FOV.

bioshock on pc feels awful to play either way because of mouse acceleration
broforce
Just buying a bunch of VR shit this time around.
Devil Daggers is the shit. I don't think I ever made it past the 2 minute mark though.
Action? fucking Dead Cells, Super Cyborg, House of Dead Ninjas, all the Metal Slug games and that Butcher game OP mentioned.
yeah they just raise the price.
>bioshock on pc feels awful to play either way because of mouse acceleration
then disable the acceleration?
Anyone know a good rpg that you start of as a fucking hobo . I played the all the Gothic, Risen and Elex already and i really want something like it more. There just something really satisfying seeing how you rise up from an errand boy and slowly get good equipment to fight off monsters.
>devolver
Dang I enjoyed their games.
Guess they are in the pirate bin now, real shame.
you can't
if i remember correctly it either doesn't completely disable it or there is no option to do so, so you have to use an external program and even then it feels like shit
that's just paradox
Fallout with a alternate start mod.
>Tripwire
Wait what did they do?
in this timeline they did
Maneater
there LITERALLY hasn't been a good fucking sale since 2012-2013
When does it start and will Void Bastards get a decent discount?
thanks.
What should I buy my girlfriend, Yea Forums?
you actually should buy their games on steam otherwise they will think it was a good idea to go to epic store.
genital jousting
a strap on dragon dildo
BUY KILLER 7
>is it good
YES IT'S FUCKING AMAZING
>but isn't it just an emulator
NO THE TRAILER USED EMULATOR FOOTAGE BECAUSE NISA IS DUMB
>so is the port good
YES IT RUNS ON TOASTERS AND HAS GREAT MK+B AND CONTROLLER SUPPORT, 60FPS, HIGHER RESOLUTIONS, AND CLEANED UP TEXTURES AND 2D ASSETS
WHILE YOU'RE AT IT BUY THE SILVER CASE AND THE 25TH WARD TOO
Im looking to get Fell Seal, hopefully it actually goes on sale, steamdb says the price has almost exclusively gone up since release last year
Maneater and Chivalry 2 are Epic exclusives
A couple more to add:
Ubisoft
Supergiant
Damn I enjoyed the rising storm games.
that's not how it's supposed to work
they are the ones who need to decide if they want their costumers to like them or not. why should consumers pay for their products if they make anti-consumer decisions?
Did they fix the captions not appearing during cutscenes?
>Devolver
they still put the games on steam and have no intention of changing that don't shove them with the egs exclusive trash
Who the fuck takes the time to make these threads lmao
Do you see this Yea Forums what the fuck
I didn't have any problem with subtitles not showing up when I played it again a while ago.
Shame that Sky Noon is dead, that was fun while it lasted. Jettomero, Akane, Bloody Spell and Connectome looks interesting. Thanks for sharing
This your first year on this board?
Get In The Car, Loser!
Don't they have an EGS exclusive?
Retard.
OP here, I made the thread because I wanted recommendations of two player games.
Have you never browsed Yea Forums before?
Really these are the replies i'm going to get lmao I thought viral marketing and autism were just memes in Yea Forums i'm out.
one google search tells me some game called observation is EGS exclusive, not sure if it was a decision made by them or the actual team that made the game in the first place. they're just a publisher after all
Blocked em all, thanks user.
hi out i'm dad
more
I'd buy it
The Low Road is on sale right now and its a very decent point & click

If DMC HD collection isn't there they can fuck off.
it can be played without vr though
because they will cater to the people actually giving them money. they don't care about your feelings, especially if you aren't paying them. that's exactly how free market capitalism works. if people only buy on the epic store it will look like the epic store is a good market for them and steam isn't and they will give more support to epic.
lol people still care about the summer sale?
Unless you're an ultra newfag everybody has already bought the worthwhile games years ago
>Caveblazers
>Superflight
nice
so they'd rather prefer less sales then?
good games come out every year, unless you have normie-core taste
Honestly with all these store wars I'm feeling less inclined to buy games at all.
Steam kind of tricked me into doing the whole digital thing because it felt like it was basically going to be there forever.
Now that there is some decent competition and things are fragmenting, I'm starting to doubt the logic of buying anything but multiplayer games. If the store is just going to go out of business in 5 or 10 years, why bother paying?
I feel this way with epic, steam, origin, this xbox thing.
Who knows when any one of them will vanish or change to the point your games no longer work.
if you're implying anime that shit is gay and so are you
Ion Maiden is so fucking good. Hope Bruce Dickinson gets hit by a bus.
Then we will try it out tomorrow thanks user,
You forgot about a couple. GOG for example.
I remember that Desura tried to challenge Steam. It did well enough as an indie counterpart but sales were not as often and it felt more like a stepping stone to Steam's store. Then there was the shitstorm when they didn't pay off people. I don't even remember what happened in the end; I know they were bought out by... some random ass company intending to reopen it but I don't remember anything happening.
Slasher's Keep is fun, shame it gave me motion sickness for some reason when I tried it.
Recommend me some co op shooters.
Desura had some interesting indies, but only thing I played..and bought wad dominions.
Better not buy any food, it's going to rot in a few weeks anyway, or worse you eat it and get hungry in few hours. What a waste of money.
Just buy what you know you enjoy to play next 1-2 years if you are that worried of losing your money. Most of games at sales cost less that few beers anyway
Here's some action games for you folks that already have the essentials (DMC HD, DMC5, Bayo, Revengeance, etc.):
>Aces Wild
2D action game that is built on having exceptional flow to its combat. Your movement and actions are intentionally floaty, as the combat is airborne 90% of the time. Your strings send enemies flying and bouncing off of the geometry of the room, reminiscent of Otogi or Bangai-O, while you get a homing airdash to continue offense. Your dodge transitions smoothly into one of two counter attacks (differing between the 3 playable characters), and by performing well you fill a gauge that gives you more and better attack options but also works like God Hand's levels to make the game harder unless you burn it on one of a few different actions. Likely to be $0.99 on sale.
>Aztez
Probably the most mechanically complex 2D action game I've seen. Your 2 attack buttons have context-sensitive attacks for every movement and defensive option, and switching weapons mid-combo and even mid-parry is encouraged. The combat is also what happens between turns of a somewhat streamlined Civ-style strategy game where you must unite 15th-Century Aztec cities. The Aztec imagery is very accurate, and the visual style is Sin City/Madworld-esque.
>Assault Spy
3D game taking place in a Japanese corporate dystopia. 2 playable characters, one being a suited spy using a briefcase & umbrella as weapons, and the other being a girl that just punches & shoots stuff. Very DMC-inspired in its movelists and combat flow but way more "modern" anime in its look. Character designs feel like an off-brand Danganronpa, but they're not bad.
>One Finger Death Punch (and OFDP2)
Basically those old stick-men fight flash animations but a game. You can play it with just your left and right mouse clicks (or two buttons) but its a very fast-paced game with a ton of levels, mechanics, and enemy types. Also likely $0.99 on sale, not sure about its sequel but it may be discounted too.

Is Rabi Rabi any good?
Remember to check the GOG store first; if for some miracle a game is available on GOG, buy it there.
Never buy old games, be on Steam, GOG, wherever. The original developers won't see a single cent and you're just making the current intellectual property holder richer.
Don't waste your time recommending Nioh; Soulsborne fans have the From Software template way too embedded into their heads to appreciate Nioh.
What's wrong with Nioh?
Steam Sales are trash now.
I buy from G2A instead
>shadow tactics
probably one of the best games I've played in the last 3 years. I really wish they added more levels or something.
yes
You know they use stolen credit cards, don't you? Or do you just not care that you contribute to criminal activity to get your cheap games?
ah-bloo-bloo
Really hoping for Monster Hunter World to go on sale. Pls Gaben, I haven't given Epic ANY money. Hook me up and I will stay a loyal soldier to your installer.
doesn't affect me
Nothing; in fact it's one of my favorite games this decade.
It's just that no one liked it due to its gameplay mechanics and being too different from the Souls games. I gave up trying to discuss it here.
It plays exactly how it looks. So if it looks good to you, then you'll love it. Combat is extremely satisfying and the music is great. Story isn't that good, but it's not offensively bad and it never drags on too long regardless.
Nothing. There's everything wrong with From's cocksucking fans.

Great taste.
DIE GABE DIE
Digital "sales" are not sales. Digital distribution is worth $0. Paying for digital is nothing more than giving a donation to a company yet they don't even have the decency to admit that to you pay pigs.
On PC it used to be $50 max for an actual physical copy that was better than today's collector's editions, now they want you to pay for a download. Low cost =/= cheap or a good deal. Using the logic that digital sales are "cheaper" means that a restaurant charging $5 for a sip of water is cheap because it is only $5 without taking into consideration what you get in return.
Just pirate
>Ion Maiden
>the two chapters available currently are fantastic.
Do you mean episodes or is it still just the two levels from the demo back whenever that was?
It's too different and "it's not Dark Souls".
I love From games and I loved Nioh, but I'm the exception not the rule.
>weekly deals are up
>this means it won't be steam sale until next week minimum
you're blowing your wad too soon son
ROMANCE
GIB ROMANCE
It doesn't have to be Dark Souls. I like action games in general. I'm just waiting for a sale to pick it up.
When Valve was pushing Steam they paid developers to make it so their physical versions weren't actual physical copies but instead Steam codes. Why are you giving Valve a pass?
Titanfall 2
But I already get my games 100% off all year round
Any recs? ;_;
I can't get borderlands 2 to work on my pc, I keep getting a fatal error crash
store.steampowered.com
It's .Hack but for the Super Nintendo. Action RPG gameplay with puzzley dungeons. Story is good enough to keep it moving with some really great high points. Supporting characters tend to be a little forgettable but they provide amusing banter during combat and story scenes. Lots and lots of meat to chew through expect 40 hours for a full playthrough, and about 80-100 for a completionist run.
Gabe's cock is far up their asses they're basically puppets now.
I want to shill this game
store.steampowered.com
It was a pretty fun Aliens Infestation / JRPG hybrid.
Dishonored 2
The EGS doesn't offer me anything over Steam or GOG, while taking away games that I'll rather have on my Steam or GOG libraries with no benefit for me. And I don't even use any of Steam's social features.
Fuck Epic and fuck the hypocrites shitting on the other stores while supporting those assholes.
when the fuck is this sale
I'm shilling this game
play it
store.steampowered.com
I always wonder how many of these posters are shills.
>parkitect
parkasauraus
planet coaster
>overcooked
overcooked 2
what steam interface are you guys using right now
yeah I've seen you push this meme in your epic shill threads, keep trying my dude!
25th
>In b4 shill
I just saw it the other day, but it seems like a side scroller slow mo song and dance with satistfying gameplay
store.steampowered.com
If you're into the slow mo shit, with lots of weapons and a basic map editor and just recent workshop support I recommend Maximum Action. I bought a copy for me and my brother and he loves it. Max Payne FPS if you will.
store.steampowered.com
Rise to Ruins is a good God like/Dwarf fortress with some good tower defense aspect. Takes some time to learn the UI, and get around but none the less a great cheap game
store.steampowered.com
I've had more fun with these games in the past 5 months not including Risk of Rain 2, and Mordhau. But with the steam sales and obvious discounts, I cannot recommend these games enough.
And if anyone else didn't know to add. If you are ever wondering about a discount or the cheapest way to buy on legit websites. I HIGHLY recommend using isthereanydeal.com
Because you have never enjoyed a game.
is BallisticNG capped at 60fps?
I do it for achievements
Give me a comfy game with really good character development, no jap shit.
get you the xbox game pass, its on there. $1 for the first month.
Fucking love Legend of Grimrock, 1 + 2. Nice choices, They Bleed Pixels is good too, bit short.
I'd add in The End is Nigh, Gish, Dungeons of Dredmor, VVVVVV, Dungeons of the Endless...
The camera is terrible, should be fixed
Seconding this guys recommendation of dominions, the fucking breadth of shit you can do is insane. A friend of mine was playing as an aquatic race, summoned a shambling mound of corpses, fed it more corpses to grow it, moved it to the land and let it grow to the point it went out of control, then froze the surface of the ocean so it couldn't get back down to him. Fucking great.
Secconding ittle dew with a bit of a thonk about the "fluid combat" but still an absolute delight to play. There's a couple concepts it just doesn't fucking teach that are fairly crucial for certain puzzles though.
Also i haven't played gemcraft since it was a flash game but it's still the most highly polished TD game i've played.
i really enjoy payday as a mindlless shootfest.
It's a slightly better RPG than the first but not as good a southpark game as the first. I played it and beat it and don't regret the time i spent, but that's also all i spent on it was time.
I'm seconding this mans shill and even adding that IT HAS A FUCKING DEMO and the demo was fucking amazing
As for my own recs:
Bleed & Bleed 2, short little action games with really fun gun play based around using your quad-jump to dodge like a madman while keeping up damage output.
Crimsonland, top down arena shooty thing. kill waves of enemies to get new guns and powerups to kill more enemies, just really solidly made.
Gunpoint, Puzzle stealth-ish game where you rewire a buildings security system as you break into it
Hotline miami, topdown russian mob masacre simulator
Sleeping dogs, a gta-clone with bamham combat where you play as an undercover cop in hongkong
Creeper world 3, another tower defence but instead of minions you're fighting against sentient goo
Heat Signature, by the gunpoint dev, stealth-ish game where you break into spaceships and use various gadgets to ruin their day in a wide variety of ways.
this extension is pretty good too
es.isthereanydeal.com
>G2A
Might as well pirate at that point
>Nothing but indie garbage.
Alright it was a fun joke but you can stop. Start posting good games now.
is it better than enhanced steam
Aside of Cyberpunk, whenever the fuck Sega ports Yakuza 3-5 and Doom Et there's nothing I am currently interested in. Throw me some recc's. I'm open to trying pretty much anything, so just throw at me. I specially enjoy point and click adventure games if that helps narrow some niche shit, Return of Obra Dinn for example was a game an user shilled me and ended loving it.
enhanced steam isn't supported anymore, so isthereanydeal took over for it and renamed it to augmented steam
oh shit
didn't realize
>shills
>store wars
Do you guys not realize these are some of the best threads on Yea Forums every year? It's pretty much the only time you guys actually talk about and recommend video games. I honestly don't give a fuck how you play them, pirate everything if you want I don't give a damn. Just calm your tits and recommend me some damn games.
west of loathing? it's not a point and click. it's a turn based RPG by the kingdom of loathing devs that still has their signature brand of humour.
I'm really looking foward to Pedro. Hope it lives up.
>Max Action
Based and redpilled
Max Payne is one that comes to mind. Use the patch on the discussions for widescreen. You can also give Red Strings Club and Portal 1-2 a go if you haven't.
>asks for good games
>posts overwatch
Fine then, Maximum Action, Call of Juarez Gunslinger, DMC5, and Hitman 2 are some I really enjoyed lately.
>west of loathing
I haven't heard of that one, looks pretty silly, which I like. I'll check it out, thanks.
>Red Strings Club
thnx for the suggestions, played all of those
also on game pass if you're wondering
>west of loathing
Worth getting?
Is there any game like Deus Ex or Fallout NV?
Some of the best games I played that otherwise I'd never heard of came from these threads. Honestly I owe many kind anons some joy I had the last couple of years.
In particular the one who told me to try out Condemned and FEAR. Hope you are doing great bud.
What did you like about those games?
The character development and rpg aspect, and for deus ex fun stealth specifically.
>woooooww indie shit game sale whooooo!
>free drm with every purchase!!!
why are you faggots so obsessed with steam?
>Strafe
store.steampowered.com
low poly fast fps rouge-lite with some great music, you might have heard about it through Enter The Gungeon
you can try the game out right now for free by pirating
or for $1 on game pass if you're too fucking lazy
Deus Ex Human Revolution
Fallout 3
Epic battle fantasy #, i've played 4 and enjoyed it for what it is, a competently constructed turn based RPG that absolutely revels in it's early '00s internet culture heritage.
Intrusion 2, side scrolling shooty game, questionable physics, good boss fights. Short and sweet.
Ravenfield, It's battlefield's multiplayer but with only bots. Also mod support so you can play with 40k or halo shit. Not serious at all but good fun for an hour at a time.
Prototype 2, you are a filthy muto that uses your gory ass bio-weapons to masacre zombies and PMC motherfuckers. Controls better than the first which as far as i'm concerned fully makes up for Yea Forums's complaints about the story.
Viscera Cleanup Detail, be the janitor that goes in after the shooter game or horror movie happens. Just a really relaxing cathartic experience as you go through the ritual of collecting body parts and mopping up blood.
Luftrausers, sidescrolling alt-history ww2 dogfighting
super meat boy, celeste, wings of vi, slime san superslime addition, ball breaking 2d platformers, i just love them all.
Just cause 2, still the best just cause game, proves every game needs a grappling hook, get the bolopatch so you can have super long grapples.
If a comedic turn based RPG sounds like it'd be up your alley then hell yeah. You'll definitely know within 2 hours if it's a game you want to keep playing.
If you have Skyrim, try Enderal. It's a free mod on the workshop that's a total conversion but makes a copy of your game so it doesn't interfere with Skyrim just in case it's already modded. It has way more RPG aspects in dialogue options and quest solutions than Skyrim.
For stealth, there's the obvious like Thief and older Splinter Cell. Older Hitman games for wonky yet fun stealth. I haven't played them myself but I heard good things about the Styx series of games.
Any good recent P'n'C adventure games?
store.steampowered.com
Looks bretty good but I want to make sure it's good.
What's your thought on it?
Honestly I didnt like it initially but the updates made it a better game. Still pretty unoptimized for shit pc’s
Return of Obra Dinn kinda.
Only one i played fran bow and loved it. Developers are making a new game called little misfortune which has a demo. Definitely recommend it but it isn't recent.
I want Yakuza Kiwami 2 with the pre-order thing but that's $10 for something not worth that so I hope it and the base game combined get discounted to be the base price at least.
Thanks for these user.
>Or do you just not care that you contribute to criminal activity to get your cheap games?
I don't. Problem?
speaking of strafe
chrono.gg
Recommend me some games like Elysian Tale, Bladed Fury, Muramasa, Odin Sphere. Good ARPG sort of stuff.
That or a single player game that will help me forget how miserable I am irl.
I want to play more eurojank or slavcore rpg. you guys have any reccomendation
Really enjoying
Necrodancer
AoE II/III/AoM
Trap Shrine
Factorio
Mount and Blade Warband
Redout
Any suggestions?
>dead cells
>nier automata
More popular games that you probably already know if you want but i'm still gonna reccomend them:
Civ 4 or 5, 4x games, 5's a better entry point, 4 has more mechanical depth and the caveman to cosmos mod which expands the game to the very dawn of human civilization to the intergalactic colonization and energy being's end game.
Binding of issac, twin stick shooter rogue-lite, super fun but the dificulty creep is honestly a bit much for me.
Dahk sauls, had a hard time appreciating these games at first. Then watched the matosis and joseph anderson reviews and actually really fucking enjoying the first. Disregard what the grognards have said, the games aren't brutally difficult, they just want you to be a bit more attentive and if you do they'll reward you in spades.
Every saints row game from 3 onwards including agents of mayhem. That's also the descending order of how good they are. Less serious GTA clones that are just damm fun.
Wash_dougs2, if you can overlook the kangz meems there's a really fun (and yeah, pretty easy) stealth action game here if you share my absolute adoration with hax0rz nonsense.
Portal 1&2, you should've played these by now, if you haven't and have any appreciation for puzzles then it's always a good time to start.
GTA5, i don't know how deeply it goes on sale but if nothing else the main story is still worth a playthrough if you liked previous gta's
Cuphead, just a solid boss rush game
hatty time, super cute 3d platformer, disappointingly easy tho.
baba is you, fuckin great puzzle game, the rules of each level are physical blocks in the level that you push around to re-write the rules and let you win
Stardew valley, farm your crops and talk to the villagers and get caught in a dozen super comfy micro progression loops until you didn't realize it's been 10 hours and you're about to piss yourself.
Rimworld, It's dwarf fortress, but with difficulty settings.
Dead cells, It's dark souls but a 2d roguelite.
Stop playing games and fix your life. Trust me, games are way more enjoyable when your shit's actually sorted out.
BallisticNG
I own both of those, but I never finished Dead Cells. I'm not a huge fan of roguelikes or roguelites, whatever the fuck they're called. Maybe I'll give it a more honest try, user. Thanks.
Yes, I enjoy that too!
Recommending this to others too.
>shadow tactics
same devs are going to be releasing Desperados 3, but there still isn't an official release date besides "2019 i guess"
Boring.
>That or a single player game that will help me forget how miserable I am irl.
minecraft (with a nice big modpack), ss13, civilization, black desert online, MOBA's (i've heard). Basically anything where you can get absorbed into a progression loop that'll give you a false sense of accomplishment while burning away the hours until you can go back to sleep and not hurt for a while. If you need more just look for games with multiple 1000+ hour playtimes on steam.
I know, and I appreciate your concern. My life was ruined long ago, and I'm still picking up the pieces, and it's pretty awful stuff. I'm working two jobs (sometime 60 hour weeks) to pay off my student loan and to get myself back into school for the job I've always wanted. I was six months away from graduating and getting my internship before everything fell apart and I had to drop out. Lots of debt and nothing to show for it now except busting my ass to try and get back to where I was. I'm killing myself by doing this, and I'd truly rather kill myself, but whatever. There's no other way and I've got work to do.
Sorry for the blog post; I just want to feel at least a bit of joy through some vidya or anything, really
Ballistic NG is paid now?
This is probably the answer I was looking for.
>synthetik
based
so now that Disgaea 3 PC is never ever, I need something cheap that rubs on a potato after I sell all my steam cards.
pls gib ideas
It sounds like it really sucks right now, but also that you haven't given up completely and you even have a plan to get back on track. Sometimes things take a bit longer than they could have, but if you can keep going for a while more it can get better, and if you want some vidya to fill in while you work towards that, i won't begrudge you that. Stay strong, you've made it this far and when you get to the other side it won't even seem like it took that long.

Why?
NIS is dying
Yeah, life is pretty terrible. I'm just here to play the game and do what I have to do until I die. Not much left in the tank, but we're gonna keep going anyway.
Got great friends and a great girlfriend, so it's whatever. I'll figure something out.
Thanks for the pep talk. Goodnight, my friend.

Thanks for the recs, I’ll check some of these out
>recommending mobas to someone who is depressed
i hope this part was a joke
is that the skull from the e3 show?
I order all you faggots to buy Yakuza stuff
i wonder who could be behind these posts
man how the FUCK did I miss this coming out on steam
the request wasn't for games to alleviate depression. It was for games to fill the hole during depression. Personally i can't fucking stand mobas and i can't see how anyone can enjoy playing them. I've made honest attempts on multiple occasions but they just seem like a magnum opus of bad game design.
And yet, many many people get many many thousands of hours out of them.
yes i.e. the best part of e3 this year
didn't ever hear of some of these
This desu
Thinking about getting Eye Divine Cybermancy, Darkwood, Lost in Vivo, AVP Classic, I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream, Dusk, Ruiner, and Verdun. What am I in for with these lads?
>0
unironically this
>Eye
My legs are ok
Anyone know some fun multiplayer games I could play with siblings? 2~4 player online would be preferred.
Overcooked 1/2
EYE has unironically the best gunplay of any FPS even if the rest of the game's systems are a bit lacking.
gaht damm are these indie. And a bunch of them even look good. Well done, lad.
deep rock galactic, full metal furies, castle crashers, rampage knights
Lethal League Blaze
Delete.
I think Devolver is fine actually, They are still releasing their games on steam and the only game on EGS is Observation which i don't think was their choice but the devs. Games coming out for them like Carrion and My Friend Pedro is still coming to Steam.
>Cold Fear
Holy shit, i didn't realize this game had a PC port, I had a ton of fun with this on PS2 back then. Thanks for making me notice this user.
Sorry Gabe, I'm not going to buy your games "for future use" just because they are on sale. From now on I only buy what I'm going to play right now.
im only waiting for rimworld and kenshi tbqh
and anno 1800 if ubi gives atleast 40%
>Marlow Briggs
My nigga! absolute based taste
>waiting for rimworld
m8, the developer has explicitly said he'll never put the game on sale. It's full price or five finger discount
Good info! Please keep doing it in the future. You could be our Yea Forums curator for Steam.
never happen to me.

Depending on how big the discounts are
It's for PC, silly
I recently discovered the whole steam trading card market bullshit. No idea why people pay real money for them, but I got a program to grind out every card from my library, sold them, and I now have $5.35.
What is the best game for under $5.35?
REMINDER to pre-purchase Nep's newest game!
It's coming out in 2 days!
hotline miami, bleed, bleed 2, gunpoint, heat signature.
The original Deus Ex frequently goes on sale for under a dollar
Supergiant especially deserves it after that Jew shit they pulled.
