how edgy is this game?

This game really unnerves me, and ive been watching cartel beheading videos since i was 12. Something about the atmosphere, artstyle, and unrelenting gore makes this game hard to stomach for me. Not saying its bad, in fact good art is meant to provoke, but i dont know if i want to play this.

Makes me feel nauseous too. I stopped watching real gore ~5 years ago and it's something about the setting that makes it look decrepit and grim without any of the good aspects. From does the "rotting" of worlds in a milder, yet potent way.

There is something about it. I don't go out of my way to find gore nor anything, but the imagery seems to be fairly intense. I'm looking forward to seeing more of it, damn spaniards.

Thats it, it just feels completely bleak and hopeless. Op's pic especially, a giant baby with bleeding eyes playing with a man like he was a ragdoll, tearing him apart limb by limb, thats some disturbed shit right there, the part of the human mind that envisioned that is one that i dont wish to explore.

Dude splatterhouse is mostly tongue in cheek poking fun at old school slasher movie tropes. It has fucked up shit in it but at the end of the day you can look at it like as a pastiche of horror tropes.

And gore really isn’t that big of a deal when it comes to suicide levels of grim reality, I remember cashern for example taking a mega man like world and making everyone fucking die or be broke in half, half the dungeon crawlers of the early 90s pc were also dark as hell just the graphics didn’t show how utterly hopeless your situation was

3 will fuck you up, 1 arcade edition has some ducked up boss fights he’s its a horror trope but 3 dialogue still fucks me up where modern horror is laughable
