How is this STILL the best Castlevania game of all time?
Also, what is the best weapon in the game?

Claimh Soleil sword is the best
Claimh Solais stomps anything that isn't Julius, against whom Ascalon or Balmung are probably the best choices. Vjaya might be able to outdps with the double hits, idk.
Raw damage wise, Death's Scythe (or maybe Excalibur/Final Sword?) has the highest damage, but it doesn't have the light attribute that's effective against pretty much every enemy.
Portrait of ruin is best
the gun
Even better is the laser gun, shit is so much fun to use.
>Best castlevania
>Isnt 3, Bloodlines or Rondo of Blood
How is one OP so wrong?
Test
I wish they remade this game with SotN graphics.
I still like OoE most. Aria and Castlevania II are a solid tie in at the number 2 spot though
yes?
is this the one where the military dude sells you weapons? i thought it was p. good. sotn is better though.
what this game excelled at was balacing what the previous 2 gba games did. so it's crutching a bit.
Love SotN and AoS and want to emulate the ds games on my pc. I have heard they use the stylus heavily though, does this make playing them on an emulator annoying?
Literally SOUL. There is a lot of love put into the game and the soul system is awesome. Soma not having a default weapon like Alucard also helped a lot with giving him different sets feeling natural.
It is the best Castlevania because it has the best boss fight in the series.
because they stopped making them OP
The katana from DoS is my favorite Metroidvania weapon. With proper technique you can pull off nice combos, in a game that isn't combo focused.
Dawn of Sorrow does, but I'm not sure about the others.
If you want the full experience of DoS then I suggest you play on a Wii U or a 3DS if you have those. Otherwise you should use the Magic Seal patch
Dawn of sorrow has a dumb forced touchscreen mechanic you can fix with cheats, and im pretty sure the others are touchscreen-light with the exception of side character
romhacking.net
would recommend this hack
...Get out.
Yeah I agree, I had a lot of fun with the boss fights in this game.
to this day i don't get the skeleton meme. i'm guessing it was just forced to existence like milhouse and it just sticked.
>Bloodlines
>anywhere near the best
Bloodlines is bottom 3 with Simon’s Quest and Dracula X
Is this more of your liking?
Dawn of Sorrow is better faget
it's just one retard doing it in every thread
I like the Creaking Skull but that big tiddy anime bitch has to go
it has been around for years
I don't know who started it but it has a sentimental value for me. On my very first AoS playthrough I got the creaking skull soul by pure chance, I loved it so much I used it all the way to the end of the game. On future playthroughs I kept failing to get the soul until I realized that I got it by complete chance.
i love this one
ya no the order is
SotN
Aos
Rondo of Blood
OoE
Super Castlevania IV
Castlevania III
the rest is poop tier including bloodstained which is never gonna be anywhere near as good as SotN
he's an incredibly autistic and persistent retard
this
Why is Creaking Skull triggering you so much? I find it pretty funny
>"wahh I couldn't beat it on expert"
My nigga
>having taste this bad
oh no no no
Aaand the last one, it has been fun Yea Forums
>Aria of Sorrow
>Best castlevania
Ahem..
How was creaking skull supposed to know to use a super bomb?
He would have seen the commercial if he wasn't such a bonehead.
Whats the obsession with this dumb skellington?
You're okay in my book, user.
yikes
>immediately assumes it’s about difficulty
Great way to out yourself as a casual kiddo
The fact is that Bloodlines is one of the weakest classic style Castlevanias. 1, 3, 4, and Rondo are all better. The only thing Bloodlines brought to the table was babby mode spear guy and giving John the ability to swing off of ceilings, giving him assloads of i-frames.
this guy gets it
