I bought Kirby Star Allies, Hyrule Warriors, Crypt of the Necrodancer and World of Final Fantasy Maxima.
Personally
>Mario Tennis Aces
>Okami HD
>Cuphead
>Necrodancer
>Hollow Knight
It's still going on, isn't it? Gonna buy Crypt of the Necro-Dancer and either Cuphead or Wargroove.
Yeah, ends on the 18th.
Just bought Crypt. Really hope I don't end up regretting my decision.
Is Wargroove any good? I'm aching for a new AW game.
Considering Crypt of the Necrodancer, FFVII and Wild Guns Reloaded.
Crypt was real cheap so I don't think it can disappoint too much. I bought it out of interest after seeing Cadence on the Treehouse stream.
No idea about Wargroove.
>and Wild Guns Reloaded.
Oh shit, I didn't even see that it was on sale. I've been dying to play this, fuck me.
Hollow Knight and Rayman Legends for the third time. I don't even like Rayman Legends that much, but its got the majority of Origins inside it so it's a wash.
I bought Flight Simulator X and this.
I got Rabbids and it's actually pretty great
also grabbed Strange Journey Redux because I need more SMT in my life
considering DQ8 and FF7 because I never finished PS2's 8 or played FF7 but I'm not sure since I know that there's a shitton of games coming out later that I'll want and I'm not sure I can handle that much JRPG in my life
Yeah I was considering FF7 too but there's way too many games on my list.
Mario Rabbids is true kino my friend, you're in for a treat.
Nope no games still as expected.
Hollow Knight for $5 using some golden coins i had to spare.
>Okami
First time playing it. Slow as hell till you finally reach the village and then it’s downright glorious. I can’t believe I’ve put this game off in my backlog for so long
>OG necrodancer
Eh it’s okay but I haven’t even put a full hour in it. Im expecting to fall for it the more I play it like dead cells
>FF9
I’ve never actually gotten past disc 1 and having it portable will be the thing that gets me to play this past impressing nobles
>downwell
Put the switch sideways, single joycon, pure kino
Basically used the sale to work backlog and try indie shit
I'm in France thousands of miles away from my switch on a dwindling budget, but I ended up buying crypt of the necrodancer and dark souls, and god damn its hard to resist picking up odyssey. Hyped to get home next week and play at least the first two games.
No, I hacked mine.
Did I? Fuck no I didn't
No I'm still waiting on a fucking deal for Hyper Light Drifter which was only ever on sale once.
Is that game good?
Anything good worth $5? Want to use my $5 worth in gold coins to buy a game
crypt of the necrodancer
>haven't played a basketball game sine nba jam on snes
>nba 2k19 is on sale for $3
>why the fuck not?
>30 fucking gb for a game i literally bought as a curiosity
Every game on the eShop seems to be a shitty side-scroller or "we made this in a pixellated aesthetic because it's simpler and we can be lazy, not because it's a stylistic choice."
>cummings
Nope, I already got every game I could possibly want from the secret 100% off sale that's been going on since mid 2018.
What are the best/most active online games?
I grabbed smash, kart and RL
Crypt of the Necrodancer and Hollow Knight.
Is Rabbits worth it for $20? I love XCOM and Fire Emblem; is it in the same vein, or more watered down?
Yeah I got ff9 I wouldve got ff10 aswell but even on sale the physical one was cheaper
Bought the torna expansion of XC2
That's it? Fuck
I bought Star Allies. I don't think it was worth $40, but I still haven't played through The Ultimate Choice or Heroes in Another Dimension.
Already have just about everything worth a damn in physical form, or already owned it.
Hyrule Warriors.
I probably should have bought Fire Emblem Warriors, too.
But I don't see myself playing it for a while since I need to take a break between these musou games.
The fact that this has got a physical version confuses the shit out of me.
I bought undertale on Yea Forumss recommendation and I fucking hate it after 15 minutes of playing.
I bought okami and that is pretty fun
Considering phoenix wright or maybe ff9, never made it very far into the game maybe disc 2.
Or golf story.
Thoughts?
Haven't had a chance to try it, but everyone seems to agree that's one of the best metroidvanias to date.
Might as well stick around for 15 minutes more to beat it.
Its gameplay is fun but the fact that there is 0 story or atmosphere to give context to the game-play makes it hard to play for long sittings
Rocket League and I'll probably buy NBA 2K19 as well.
A random Discord chick wants me to get Stardew Valley so I can play with her, but it's $12.
Bought Hyrule Warriors and it's kinda fun but it runs like shit. Wish it had an fps lock because it is literally never stable
>buy RCM jig
>never pay for another game ever again
>emuand is coming
>online play no problem soon
life is good
>online play no problem soon
Source?
Has anyone played the Fear Effect game thats 90% off? I am starting to think literally nobody has played it
>diablo
>katamari damacy
>nba 2k19
>golf story
>wild guns
>regalia
>starlink
>shantae and the pirate's curse
>i am setsuna
>doom
>tropical freeze
>hyrule warriors
>phoenix wright
>necrodancer
>ff ix
>undertale
>stardew valley
I think I'm set for awhile.
No because I don't buy digital games so Nintendo despises me.
Monster Boy and Furry Waifu Planet.
>online play no problem soon
even if my switch was banned before?
>downwell
>Put the switch sideways, single joycon, pure kino
Whoa you can do that? I got it during the Devolver Digital sale but only played it a little bit, I may try it again if it can go vertical
it'll work in the same way 3ds was btfo. in theory, that's why i said it was coming^tm. just be on the lookout.
removeddit.com
>imagine being a retard and not having a proper nand back to revert everything
>imagine going online with CFW knowing you'll be b&'ed
user...
Malleo Odyssey and Tales of Vesperia
I was considering World of FF too but didn't go for it in the end. How is the game? Is it a decently long and difficult JRPG?
Why didn't you just pirate Undertale?
Hollow Knight and Necrodancer since they were so cheap, and Undertale
Only Mario Rabbids
i never had a nintendo account on it, just hacked it and played my games. Just assumed its banned since i wasnt really going to play online and didnt gave ashit about it. Heck, if theres the chance to play online without a nintendo account then thats a plus
>Ends one day before I get paid.
>not putting it on the credit card you use to buy everything online for security reasons
Already got most of the stuff I'm interested in that's on sale. Still, I'm glad for all of my fellow anons who will get to play some new good vidya.
Bought Unraveled 2 though, so going to check that out pretty soon.
Is the expansion pass on sale? Or is it just Torna?
Crypt of the Necrodancer because cheap
FFVII because maybe ill finally finish it since this version has a no random battle mode
Wargroove because Advance wars is the GOAT and if it even scratches half the itch it is worth it.
Celeste heard good things and im a sucker for solid platformers and metroid-likes.
Bought Wild Guns Reloaded, Crypt of the Necrodancer, FF XII and Collection of Mana even if it wasn't on sale. Good shit all these games, Wild Guns specially is fun incarnate.
>Crypt was real cheap so I don't think it can disappoint too much. I bought it out of interest after seeing Cadence on the Treehouse stream.
I actually just spent a good 40 minutes or so checking it out. It's actually pretty damn fun. I'm not sure why it took so long for the game to click for me.
I finally grabbed Mario Odyssey
got travis strikes again because NMH3 looks kinda hype. not gonna play TSA till i play NMH2 though, only played the first one.
>Having a credit card not maxed out
just looked on the site, gotta say for a "sale" those are some terrible prices.
Hollow Knight was the only game with a good enough price.
Got tempted on bing bing odyssey but even at 50 bucks I don't know if I'd get the value out of it. Sources say its like a 12 hour game with 20 hours or so for 100% so fuck paying 50 dollars for that.
When does the Crystal Chronicles remake come out?
fall 2019
no set date yet unfortunately :(
Fuck. I'm dying for some selkie milkers
I bought Crypt of the Necrodancer and will likely buy Mario Kart 8. Shame Doom isn't on sale in my region because I would buy it for $30
same
Its also like the 3rd comfiest game of all time and has the 2nd best ost
crossing my fingers for september release but it will probably be october
I imagine it sucks ass to be dropped to $3 so often
Hopefully it'll be August 8th like the original release, but they said Winter at E3 so I doubt it.
I'm on the fence about Dong Freeze. Someone talk me out of it, or into it.
>Is the expansion pass on sale? Or is it just Torna?
You get the expansion pass with Torna. When you buy it under what's labeled Torna you get a standalone copy of Torna. If you buy the Expansion pass, you still get Torna but base version Xenoblade 2 is required for that one. It's weird.
Should I buy a switch? When do the deals end?
The high number of side scrollers bothers me, the eShop is in need of more simulators or RPGs, sometimes I'm the mood of playing a different genre.
You can make a Nintendo account on the internet and buy games.
Exactly. Another massive problem is how misleading the eShop thumbnails are for games.
The thumbnail will look like some BotW 3D stuff with incredible graphics and an open world, and when you actually click on the game all it is is a side-scroller with pixel graphics, weak gameplay, limited replayability and a short life.
I got MHGU and Hollow Knight.
Was going to get Mario and Rabbids but it isn't on sale in Europe.
Oh. I see. It looks like I also have 949 gold coins. Maybe I'll get Hyrule Warriors, smash bros, mario kart, donkey kong, there's so many games.
Hyrule Warriors
Cadence of Hyrule
and Hollow Knight
they're all pretty fun.
Literally a 10/10.
Is Wargroove worth the price If i don't really have interest in the level editor?
Wargroove
Blazing beaks
Undertale
One of my boyfriends and I got Diablo. Having a blast with it together.
Master Blaster Zero 1 and 2, Freedom Planet, Azure Striker Gunvolt 1 and 2. Not all related to E3 sale.
FF9 Switch Port or better yet the "remaster/port" is fucked, Emulate it.
Katamari Reroll and Mario vs Rabbids gold.
Great games
Its fantastic. I got it and was pleasantly surprised. One of the best games ive played on switch
> The Last Remnant
> Necrodancer
> Hollow Knight
> Ookami
> NBA ($2 lmao)
Got some other random shit since it was pretty much free
>Fear Effect
>Geki Yabba
> Goetia
>Mahong
Also caved in and got Splatoon 2 and the Special Edition for Xenoblade 2 as physical copies. I haven't even finish a single game I got when I bought switch last month, FF XII, Dank Souls, LGP, Smash and DBZF.
Send help.
Torna's good, especially the revamped combat system.
Wild guns reloaded. Had a blast with that shit on my friends older brother’s SNES back in the day. Gonna surprise the shit out of him next time he’s over.
Still deciding whether to get My Friend Pedro on Steam or Switch.
ok Yea Forums help me choose niggas!
here's a list of games i want in order of priority. help me pick THREEish.
enter the gungeon(been 'sampling' this on PC, I really like it a lot)
crypt of the necrodancer(mainly curious since it's super cheap i might get it)
hollow knight(super curious, but meh-troidvania's turn me off)
stardew valley(I also have a 'sample' for PC but I didn't enjoy it much)
shantae(I could easily get a 'sample' but is it better on switch?)
dead cells(I know it's like the hot indie game, but i feel like meh-troidvania)
nba2k playgrounds2(always wanted a sports game)
snk heroines(honestly don't care much but waifus and fightan?)
FF7. Never played it before. I do have a PS4 but eh, I want to try the original and see if I like it enough to get the remake.
I was gonna get pokemon sword because of a 30% off preorder discount and just resell it for more than i got it for once i completed it.
But the game's e3 promo looked like such a clusterfuck that it's not even worth the time scalping.
it already was one of the best DLC ever (alongside TW3), but at that price it's an absolute steal. Good buy, user.
Indies 100% on Switch.
only a couple hours left in the sale bros, I gotta make some tough choices
Help me pick 2-3 out of these games or value equal to 65-75 shekels
>ace attorney trilogy
>katamari damacy
>katana zero (i know its not on sale)
>cuphead
>golf story
>FFIX
>dead cells
>the messenger
please help
Katamari reroll and crypt of the Necrodancer
bump
Is FF9 good? Only beat FF7 which I really loved.
Physical copies are the main reason to have a console
Digital "sales" are not sales, even $1 is too much for a download.
Get cuphead, deadcells, and the messenger. There are a billion free ways to play FFIX. Golf story might be good, haven't played it yet.
bought god of war and spiderman. For 20 bucks each, it was well worth it.
>not using a line of credit to pay that shit at half the interest
Its all on you, fampai.
all those together are only 50 bucks
so I could still afford 1 more of any of those games. Point taken on ffix tho
Travis Strikes Again to prep myself for 3, and World of Final Fantasy cause I was legitimately curious and $20 was a fuckin’ steal. Was tempted to get SNK Heroines, but I can supposedly get a cart for $25 off Gamestop, and I wanted to save cash for FE, Samsho, Bloodstained, and all the bullshit I gotta spend for my last semester of college.
I put like 100 hours into MK8 on Wii U then sold it. MK8 Deluxe worth it? Does it add anything besides inklings?
TSA is lots of fun but don't burn yourself out on it.
I did let 12 hours straight and had to put it down for 3 weeks before finishing
Not at home, Is the BOTW and SSBU pass on sale?
Nintendo is stingy as fuck in terms of sales. Surprised Xenoblade 2's expansion pass got one but never played that
Doom.
I don't think so.
As far as first party I think only kart and odessy got sales
Mario Tennis, Hyrule Warriors and Necrodancer.
cute bonny
he smol
undertale is a trash game premised on the idea that's it's somehow morally wrong to fight back when monsters attack you, and survives only on it's cringe memes which are mostly ironically used outside of furries and retards
I never see DLC on sale. Wish Splatoon 2 DLC would go on sale.
I bought Hollow Knight. Tonight or tomorrow I'll probably buy Torna.
Necrodancer and Final Fantasy VII.
I've been on the fence for the Messenger since it came out. Should I buy it or what?
its pretty cheap so yes
Then let me know how it is within the next 2 hours so I know if I should buy it too
The VN sections are killing me
Shill me on Xenoblade since the expansion's on sale. Is it turn-based or does it have actual combat?
Don't really like turn-based other than FF7 and Persona
Combat.
I loved the VN sections, I actually wish there were more of them. I suck at hack+slash type gameplay so I actually struggled in the gameplay alot
Oh nice, how good is it? never played its games
Soul Hackers is only 25% off. lame.
I bought 4 Atelier games.
Not sure if related: Should I buy The Division 2 for $40? Im on the fence
I'll be honest and say that's it's just not for everyone. There's a bit if a learning curve to the battle system, it feels like an mmo but with a loads of extra crap to keep track on. If you haven't played xc1 or xcx it there might be a bit of a learning curve.
Just watch some gameplay on youtube to get an idea of it.
I'm on the fence on whether I liked Torna or not. At times it felt better than XC2, and at other times I wanted to be playing XC2 instead. It was definitely short, and maybe too easy. Combat is somewhat better than the combat in XC2, but it was a bit difficult to get a solid understanding of the new combat mechanics. It also doesn't help that the animations for most of the characters you'll use aren't as easily chainable as it was in XC2.
You must hate having money
Want to get chocobos mystery duengeon, loved the pokemon ones but their dead now. its on sale for 32. decent but it could be lower. any opinions on it
Kamiko.
I bought a physical switch copy. Player undertale for a few hours and it feels like a self aware rip off of earthbound. Pretentious zoomer garbage.
Not part of the sale, but I did pre-order My Friend Pedro. I hate pre-orders, but I’ve been hyped for that game since E3 of last year.
>prentious rip-off of a prentious game
How many layers of irony are we on here?
The VN sectiosn REALLY made me want to play actual VN games. It's a shame that Val-Hal-A game wasn't on sale.
How is earthbound pretentious? It’s funny with some dark moments thrown in. Undertale is trying to teach you moral lessons. The game being an intentional rip off of earthbound ruins it for me.
Oh dude, fuck sales you should buy Va-11 Ha-11a anyway. Im halfway through chapter 2 and It is like my go to comfy in bed game, Im intentionally dragging my feet to extend the experience as long as possible.
May have been my best use of 15 dollars ever
Need some clarification cause newbie. Should I get XC2 along with Torna that's on sale? it says it doesn't require the base game, but should I get it anyway?
I’m a big Ace Attorney fan, but if the characters of Undertale are what annoyed you, I’m not sure that you’d like it. The writing and gameplay are completely different, but they both have very “lol random” characters.
I never played a Final Fantasy aside fork tactics, but XI always looked cool to me.
Golf Story has been on my wishlist for some time. Post later if you buy and like it.
Enter the Gungeon since you enjoyed it
Stardew Valley, since it unironically feels a lot better playing it on Switch
Unless you know for sure that you don’t like Metroidvanias, Dead Cells. It also has a lot of rouge-like elements.
>tfw you'll never get to hate Moe's jokes for the first time again
Also, where's our Ghost Trick HD?
Torna is independent. Only get it if you don’t plan on playing XC2.
Tropical freeze
Should I still get it if I plan to get XC2? does it connect to the base game?
Ok Yea Forumsee, dead cells or the messenger?
The messenger is 7 whole bucks cheaper, but I have heard people cumming over deadcells for months. Is it really as good as all that?
Necrodancer, Hollow Knight, and the Xenoblade 2 DLC.
The expansion pass for XC2 includes Torna. I’m not sure if you get the expansion if you buy Torna first. While Torna does have better mechanics, I think that XC2 is much better to play first and offers a better story and soundtrack. However, both games suffer with writing, with some parts being amazing but a lot being mediocre or even cringe-worthy
are there any good tactics games on switch aside from into the breach? also why the fuck did they put legacy of the duelist up on the eshop like 4 months before it actually comes out? fucking assholes
I bought Hollow Knight and am loving it so far desu
I'd strongly advise playing XC2 first. Otherwise it's like Star Wars episodes I-III before watching IV-VI.
Not saying that Torna is shit, mind you.
>Crypt
>Okami
>Deadbolt (wasn't on sale, though)
It did during Christmas.
>nba
>necromancer
>kirby
>friends of ringo isikawa
>duck game
>cup head
>a cheap breakout clone
I have $300 to spend. I already have a ps4 and xbox which I probable will lose coming months.
Should I buy a switch? mostly buying for civ
It's a standalone expansion that you don't need to own the original game to be able to play, like Guild Wars Factions and Nightfall, although I don't know what fucking madman would just go straight into Torna without having played XB2.
Nah get it on ebay for 15 or less. I got it for 13. Same price i paid for cn battle crashers
Pirate phoenix
Buy golf story
If youre to stupid to emulate playstation buy ff
Pic related. Super Bomberman R, Lost Sphear, I Am Setsuna, Final Fantasy VII, and Octopath Traveler. Octopath Traveler's not on sale, but I wanted it for awhile, and figured I might as well get it now. I almost didn't have enough to afford if, but thankfully, all the points I got from the previous 4 games were enough to help me afford it.
Just Slay the Spire because it happened to come out near the sale. Wasn't actually on sale or anything.
SOON TM (tranny marked)
Physical version has a cart for the actual game (Torna) and a code for the rest of the season pass compatible with the base game.
15 minutes of playing wouldn't have even got you through the Ruins. At least get through the second area before you decide if you hate the game, that's where the real game is.
Starlink, some shovelware, fear effect. Considering Wild Guns
i bought NBA2K for 3 dollars.
i dont generally like sports games but 3 dollars is 3 dollars
drop the xbox and buy a switch
pc/ps4/switch master race
Mandatory side quests (read: fetch quests) ruined this expansion for me
And I thought the base game was a 10/10
I don't like buying digital if I have the option to buy physical, and I also don't like buying digital if the game is already on PC. Are there any Switch exclusive digital-only games that are on sale?
Did anyone play Kotodama? Looks like Huniepop with better art and actual story. I got a good laugh from the nintendolife sjw that reviewed the game.
Arigato user :^)
Off to work! Take care!
mario + rabbids unironically
Crash Twisted, Metal Slug 1-3, & Cel Damage. Not sure to get either Mario Odyssey or Dragons's Dogma
It was actually cheaper to buy the standalone version than it was to buy the Expansion Pass straight up.
Pirate ace attorney on your phone or some shit
Katamari is good but it isnt we love katamari so keep that in mind its shitty katamari 1.
Katana zero pirate on pc if you dont want portable
Same for cuphead but if you wanna buy cup head get it now that shit never goes on sale
Golf story get it. Its good and a switch exclusive
FFIX emulate it if thats to hard just get it
Dead cells ask other anons about it specifically. Some people swear by it i think it costs to much for what it is.
Messenger pirate on pc
Okay all that said ill pick 3. Golf story, katamari, if you have friends cuphead no friend dead cells
sell the xbone and ps4 (if you've played bb already) and buy a switch and like 30 games
Mario Kart, finally.
It’s pretty good I’m surprised. Reminds me of DS
Bomberman r was 10$ at target
I wish the DK expansion for rabbids was on sale, i have the physical version so buying gold would be a waste.
I am genuinely surprised you didn't get a response to this. Let me see if I can help you.
Bought:
MarioxRabbids Gold
Shantae (not 1/2 genie)
Okami
Golf Story
Is it an Xbone or a One X?
If it’s an Xbone sell it. If it’s a One X sell the PS4.
Switch is the best console now, so many games are coming out. In its prime.
What's up with Xenoblade 2 still having a special edition available? I thought the whole deal about special editions was you could only get them at the start of the game's release, and yet here they are still selling them a year and a half later. Did they overestimate how well it would sell and print way too many, or what?
Don't get me wrong, I was happy for it because I got a Switch pretty late and couldn't resist getting the XB2 Special Edition because XB1 is one of my favorite games ever, I'm just not sure what's going on here.
>Hyrule
Wii u version ran worse. Somehow this one hits 60 and has different weathers.
Golf story is great
I was wondering about the Xenoblade expansion pass. Is the content it adds all post game content? I'm playing the game right now and I'd hate to beat it and then buy the expansion pass only to discover that it adds some midgame stuff that I missed.
MOENY!
No but let me know if you find out who did the art because the art style looks really familiar.
It adds a variety of content that can be accessed relatively early into the game. The challenge mode goes from braindead easy to kinda bullshit, assuming you aren't messing with the difficulty parameters.
>Same for cuphead but if you wanna buy cup head get it now that shit never goes on sale
Fuck is that true? Poorfag here, ended up going with Wargroove over Cuphead because I figured that I could just wait for a better sale eventually.
If you like the genre Wargroove should last you until Cuphead has another sale. If you had done it the other way around you'd be finished with Cuphead by this weekend.
Well it's a PC game that doesn't exactly take a supercomputer to run so you can always pirate it.
No because the sales aren't anything to write home about in Canada.
Want to get MM2 but don't want to pay $80.
Wanted to get FE until I saw that blistering 12 FPS along with pretty well every other Switch game shown at E3
>everyone tells me DQ Builders is good
>demo is pretty short
>realise it's still 49.99
>DQB2 soon
Why is the first one not on sale? If it was 19.99 I would bought it instantly to see if DQB2 is worth it or not.
FE's cinematics are always at low FPS because they're not very high budget games, the gameplay itself tends to be smoother.
It's overrated but not bad. Hate that you have to wander aimlessly because you start each area with no map. You get used to it, but it can be rough since the game does not tell you shit about where to go.
I've been waiting for the console to go on sale. I want to buy a switch but I'm too cheap to buy anything full price
That's pretty much every indie game out there though, not so much Nintendo's fault.
Why didn't you get it on Black Friday then? That's what I did.
Do what I did. Get it on Mercari or Offerup. Got mine for 229 bucks NEW. There's even barely used switchs with 5-10 games going for 400
Got Monster Hunter Ultimate and a couple cheap indies. I can already feel my brain expanding.
I got Mario Maker 2,Splatoon 2's octo expansion (the only ones not on sale), Mario Odyssey and Ff7. Haven't regretted it so far
I know torna's 26 bucks, but I found a physical copy online for 23. Should I get it or is the digital one including more stuff or something?
The digital one has LESS stuff, you want the physical one.
Hard West was half off so I picked it up, haven't had the chance to play it yet.
Last question. How the hell does it work if I have XC2 and Torna both physical? or does Torna just dump its stuff into the switch?
>just steal it lmao
Found the nigger.
Wait what? I got the expansion pass, what am I supposedly missing from the physical version?
If the physical copy is used, it's possible the guy selling it took the download code for the rest of the expansion pass. Otherwise, every copy of Torna comes with a code that lets you download the rest of the expansion pass content for the base game.
I bought NBA2k19 because it's 3 dollars and I haven't played once since 2k12.
lapis x labyrinth
Just bought Hollow Knight and I fuckin love it. I'm considering getting Cuphead or Necro, but I'm not sure if I would enjoy Necro
No, you can unlock all of the pass' content by chapter 4 (out of 10). Some of the quests it unlocks will only become accessible later though, since each quest packs adds quests of various difficulty throughout the game.
necrodancer and stardew valley
it's a steal at the price and no gameplay footage or trailers will ever do a rhythm game justice. gotta feel it for yourself, if you can afford to spare 4 dollars
I dunno man, this trailer did a good job of making me want to play it.
youtube.com
i still say go for it, as i really believe you wont know if you like it till you feel the controls for yourself.
Nothing. Just a box with a code to get the extra content in XB2.
The guy buying used may get ripped off if the code is already used.
Special Edition and Limited Edition are 2 very different phrases. Also XB2 is the best selling game in the Xeno franchise.
Haven't played the messenger but dead cells is great. I did get burnt after my first playthrough and haven't played it in a year now though.
Only unironically good thing about Undertale is the soundtrack.
20/10
In that case, how come Xenoblade 2 is the only game where they do a special edition rather than a limited edition?
well that's a very dismissive view that will lead to you missing out on plenty of great games, but you do you user. plenty of gems there that are more interesting than AAA shit.
Can you recommend some?
Wasn't the pro controller on sale? I need another one of those
Get one of these beauties.
am saving for a applel book, so I couldn't spare any this time
I will be hacking my switch though, any recommendations to pirate?
are you a jew? you sound like a jew.
I just bought the Ace Attorney trilogy since the price is probably as low as it will ever be, and crypt of the necrodancer for free with e-points
Just Hollow Knight. I'd rather wait for a price drop in Cadence than buy Necrodancer at a steal price since you can play Necro on PC
Just Ace Attorney
Bought Ace Attorney trilogy after struggling to slim down my options. Still got like $15 in credit so I'm debating if I'll pick something up before the sale ends or just wait for a future sale with different games.
What's good for $15 and under that isn't Hollow Knight?
I stacked up a few over the last week. I bought Crypt of the Necrodancer, Wargroove, Wild Guns Reloaded, The Messenger and Hollow Knight. I still haven't played any of them. I put Cuphead on my wish list, but I think I'll wait for a bigger discount on that before picking it up.
Best Buy had it on sale last week for $50, but that's over.
>buying digital games
Are controllers region free or is it at least coming to the US?
About Necrodancer and Hollow Knight on the eshop, then bought those Daemon X Machina controller-like joy cons and SRW T from Amazon.
only played a few hours so far but i am happy with the purchase
Scratch that, I just found it on Amazon for $50. It's one of those "see price in cart" things. Just click it and you'll see the price.
Pulled the trigger on Hyrule Warriors. It's pretty solid single-player. The split screen co-op with joycons isn't as comfy, but it's fun playing with the gf.
Yeah they're region free. Everything on Switch is region free. It could come to the US but I kinda doubt it.
i bought ff7. i wanted to buy skyrim for the 666th time at 50% off because >portable, but i JUST got this switch and dont want to fill it with games i might not get around to soon
how often do they have big sales outside of e3 anyways?
Bought Crypt of the Necrodancer and NBA 2k19 (Which I will never play but at 95% discount why not)
I hacked my switch instead. I did have $50 on my account but I was convinced I wasn't gonna play online ever so what the fuck.
Honestly pretty rad so far.
Will I enjoy Xenoblade Chronicles 2 if I hate tropey anime shit? I know it has a lot of it, I've seen it here on Yea Forums, but what I mean to say is if the game is worth it despite that, or if you really gotta enjoy all that bullshit to like it.
Depends if you take it as a parody and laugh your ass off because if you don't it's possibly one of the worst offenders
Nah, i already own or played anything that would been tempting.
What i am more tempted by in isn't related to the sale since they are "Recent" (Cadence of Hyrule and Collection of Mana, the latter because i could do with a "OG" SD3 replay before the Trials remake.) but i made the decision to hold on with those.
stay far away
Just play Xenoblade Chronicles 1 instead. That's the game you're looking for.
Thanks, probably not gonna buy it.
bros I can’t tell if hollow knight is reddits flavor of the month or if it’s a genuinely good game
"Flavor of the month" means it would have died out fast. People are still praising it highly multiple years after release. Even on Yea Forums, which hates everything. That should mean something to you.
flavour of the month for 2 years straight? Shits good dude.
Well don't let it turn you away from XB1 if you ever get the chance to play it. That game has both good gameplay and a good, non-anime story. I don't know how XB2 took such a hard shift to anime.
Bought Cuphead. It kinda sucks.
I bought
>Cuphead
>Cadence of Hyrule (Not on Sale)
>Okami HD
I’m thinking about getting
>Donkey Kong:Tropical Freeze
>Slay the Spire (Not on Sale)
>Dead Cells
>Katamari Demacy
Between Cuphead and Okami HD, which should I get?
Okami for sure.
Okami if you've never played it.
I can pirate anything you fucking retard latefags lmao
>Slay the Spire (Not on Sale)
Do it. It's fucking fantastic and one of the most addicting games I've ever played. It is a bit lacking in content but what is there is polished as all hell, and now that it's out on most consoles they're probably working on new content anyway.
Do be warned though, the switch version has a few crashes, the patch is already out and waiting approval (atleast according to the devs) but it's still perfectly playable now
Should I buy and play Skyrim for the first time or just replay BOTW? I've never played an elder scrolls or fallout but I'm kinda interested if its only $30.
I like my Nvidia Shield as well.
>how often do they have big sales outside of e3 anyways?
for first party and aaa titles? almost never, maybe for christmas and e3 only
No, its aged terrible and its not even the definitive Howard edition.
DOOM and I’m pissed because I do t have the space available to dl it so it’s just kind of sitting there she necrodancer.
Still, to this day, the best game I have bought for switch is into the breach
holy fuck its so addictive I have more hours in it then botw and smash combined
Got Celeste, haven't had too much time on it, but I'm enjoying it. 100% the first two levels.
Wanna get this. Played IAS, but heard it wasn't as good, it's only 20 bucks tho?
I played the demo a couple of times and its a real mess from what I remember. maybe download that and see for yourself.
so which one is the best to get all the dlc on xenoblade 2?
is it worth it?
>buy
how much?
You can get it physical for like 32 bucks
Wargroove is bad
$20.99
not really
Badass, that is.
Luigi's mansion (digital) and donkey kong for the 3ds (physical)
I just got a n3dsxl to enjoy the system's long backlog of games.
And yet you foolishly spent money on it when it has some of the easiest piracy I have ever seen on a system.
No. Look up a longplay to get the story. Don't bother buying or playing this game.
>nintendo """""""""sales""""""""""
a whopping 20 percent off, wowee
>buying 3ds games post-2015
OH NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO
oh yeah, its definitely worth it then
I bet the story won't even have any relevance to NMH3. I have no idea why he even bothered making that game.
mario + rabbids
hyrule warriors
ff7
stardew valley
but i cant stop playing splatoon 2 which i bought a month ago
kinda want okami since it's cheap. maybe doom or diablo but i dont know how much i would play those two
Preordered for €79
I don't collect physical but that steelbook® nearly makes me wish i did
>yuroniggers get all the limited editions
>america gets nothing
wow those nips are still pretty salty about those nukes I guess
Damn that is a kickass steelbook. They even pandered to the people who prefer Link's Awakening to Link's Awakening DX which is ironic because those people have already decreed this remake garbage and aren't going to get it.
I don't do piracy.
Let me guess, your favorite drink is water?
I bought Wargroove this sale, and I'll absolutely buy that when it goes on sale.
At what store senpai?
based
would you pirate a car??
I go through 6 large bottles a day at work, I like milk slightly more even though I have it much less often
Is peach ball fun bros?
I don't think it had anything to do with e3 but it was on sale around the same time.
GameStop
No table variety kinda ruins the game.
How do I search for the game on eshop? Can't type nip.
You need a japanese user account.
Was there a new version released for the french girls or are they DLC? or just not included at all?
Is the online still alive?
I got Hollow Knight. I'm at a point where I have a game for any itch so I need a good reason to purchase anything else, at least with what's out already. Mario Maker is a day one purchase.
It'll be a good pirate on PC.
Bought Chocobo's Dungeon. Despite the UI becoming bland compared to the Wii version and Chocobo's bird whistle noises being turned into "KYUU KYUU" like some fucking Pokemon, it's all good.
was botw on sale? I picked it up at walmart because I bought a switch a day before e3 and I remember it having a reduced price despite being sold out on amazon.
I don't think it was.
Memetale. It was cheap and I'm going to be moving soon so I can play it during downtime.
For some reason it's actually $5 more on Switch than it is on PC so even with the sale it still costs more on Switch than it does on PC. What the fuck?
Just Wild Guns Reloaded.
Using the money I was going to use for Kirby Star Allies for Yokai Watch 4.
I have not played either game but that seems like a good choice, I hear Star Allies is like two seconds long while I presume YW4 is a meaty game due to basically being Pokemon.
Xenokyaaoniichan Chronicles 2 pass
Ah lame. Yeah I actually wanted to play it on PC but since I'm moving it'll be packed up. I can keep my switch with me and bing bing wahoo or whatever while I wait though.
Well that's okay since it does have some nice-looking borders and apparently a couple more battles than the PC version. Probably not $5 worth of content but at least your purchase wasn't a waste of money.
Ah rock on, thanks user
fuck i wanted this but dang even 6000 yen is alot for a sale.
got doom
????
I got myself a paper clip.
30 bucks, had a giftcard, it'll be a good time killer for my three hour interclass period
if you've tried it yet, is it scary at all? it's dumb but i'm kinda worried it'll make me jump and shit
It has like two jumpscares (one you'll see coming) and the occasional Hell Knight coming out of nowhere.
>Ausfags are getting this
>through EB
Fuck that I don't want to pay a hundred and change for it.
fuck it i'll grab it, i need practice with the gyro anyway, i use sticks too much in splatoon 2
I wish I wasn't so autistic about wanting the phsyical cases, but Hollow Knight for 7.50 is too good to pass up for that reason alone.
Does Hollow Knight have a physical release?
Hollow Knight, been wanting it for a while.
So much to chew through for only $7.50
no im waiting for the new slightly better switch to release
Yes, but it's limited.
fangamer.com
>Hollow Knight
I love how this game makes it so easy to spot redditors
literally everyone here has hollow knight
you can still make an account on the website and buy games on sale, silly
ur baitin
I'm tempted to get DOOM on Switch
How is it?
inb4 get it on PC I already have it on PC
The textures are blurry and the framerate certainly dips, but if you're itching for portable Doom then go nuts.
If you're planning on playing it docked then I'd say don't bother
Was like 20 cents short of Hollow Knight paying purely in gold points so I picked it up for less than a quarter since I've got like almost 2 years of online already thanks to that Amazon Prime freebie. The rest of this sale is garbage though, I'd like to get Hyrule Warriors DE but it needs to be AT LEAST half off before I even consider it. Already bought it full price once on Wii U.
Bought the Ace Attorney trilogy and Crypt of the Necrodancer
>Fire Emblem Warriors is $40
>Amazon has it digital for $26 and you get full gold coins
>physical for less than $25
Yes mummy gave me her cc and I bought the whole store
>premised on the idea that's it's somehow morally wrong to fight back when monsters attack you
I can you haven't played the game, because never once does it actually do that. It punishes you when you go OUT OF YOUR WAY to kill monsters, which is morally wrong. But if you're playing strictly through self-defense you just get a neutral ending.
Is Stardew any good? I’m tired of getting pissed off at games and I just want to play something comfy.
Would like to know this as well.
pretty comfy game
gotta give yourself a goal though or you're going to run out of gas
Spot THIS *grabs dick*
Did you but the DLC for HW on Wii U?
*buy
Anyone else buy the basketball game only because it was like fucking 2 bucks? I hate black people and I can’t pass that up.
Haha, yes, another white man fooled into funding our world conquest. Only a matter of time...
You're completely right but to be entirely fair the neutral ending is not very satisfying (unless it's the dog ending) so I can see why someone would try to twist this into being guilted into pacifism.
Holy shit, that's actually a really good price for a physical version of a Nintendo game. They usually never go on that big a sale. What's the catch?
i bought it on my ps4 and switch just for the hell of it
if the internet goes out one day i can spend like an hour or two figuring out whether it sucks or not
Rebought Ace Attorney trilogy, grabbed FF7 and then I also got Cadence of Hyrule but that isnt on sale
Guys, do they ever say whether the thing you play as in Hollow Knight is a guy or not? I want to know if I can pretend it's a girl. I was hoping to do that when I played Shovel Knight but he had a pretty deep and manly voice (the bup bup bup bup sound when he talks, that's his voice) so I couldn't. Still a great game though. I understand you can play as a girl now so I should get back to it sometime. But that's unrelated to this, I don't know why I brought it up because the only thing it has in common is that it has Knight in the name.
Is it still going? was going to pick up an eshop card for Hyrule Warriors
It's supposed to end today, not sure what time.
Still going for me at least.
>One of my boyfriends
Fucking cheating whore
Challenge accepted
From what I've played so far I don't recall anything. Though the sequel definitely features a female protagonist.
Get Necrodancer
t. fucking loved hollow knight and was also unsure about necrodancer
Nah, I am waiting for these upcoming games
The knight is genderless.
Nice, good to know, thanks. And holy shit, there's a sequel? Now I really need to play.
You'll never be a woman, tranny.
Sequel isn't out yet but yeah
Ah, I see. Well that's okay, I still have the entire game to play while I wait and something to look forward to afterwards.
>and a code for the rest of the season pass compatible with the base game.
Are you sure? I don't find any information stating this online.
Is the sale over? Really wanted crypt of necrodancer and I finished Megaman collection 1 recently and wanted to buy collection 2
Still going today.
