Well shit, I'm actually looking for gameplay more than story, so I would go by 3, but this dude is making me doubt it. I'm at a point where I can't play games without feeling guilt, so I tend to drop games with a heavy story.

It's obviously the best if you like online multiplayer meta, but that shit doesn't work anymore. I finished it the other day and found myself annoyed by a lot of things, such as

>Whether you get into a battle with big enemies is RNG
>Whether or not you noise change after that battle is RNG
>What form you noise change into is RNG
>Cards you get from illegal data are RNG
>Cards you get from V2 and up boss fights are RNG (I shouldn't have gotten V1 Rogue card with busting lv 9 against V2 Rogue, FUCK YOU GAAAAMMMEE)
>Have to use non elemental cards to build noise even if you're noise changed into a form that's supposed to take advantage of elemental cards (literally only like 2/12 forms are non-elemental)
>Aforementioned backtracking
>The existence of the noise fragment currency and how you can only use it in post game anyway

the grinding and escort mission certainly suck but the ranking really isn't that big of a deal. The only thing is does is open the door behind ciel in the base for another copy of one of the bee cyber elves and causes bosses to have an extra attack if you're A rank or higher. It's not something you should really worry about on a first playthrough, it's only for after you've learned the game.
