Dutch's whole plan in chapter 6 with indians was actually genius and would have worked out perfectly if Micah wasn't a rat faggot.

eh, I played it right before I played RDR2. They both have their pros and cons, but overall 2 was a better game.
1 was trying too hard to be a parody game like other R* games. John is really the only profound character in the game. Everyone else except Bonnie, his family, maybe the one native american guy who died, are completely unsympathetic characters and pieces of shit.
2 has its own trappings, but they really did make the gang feel like a family. You could feel the tension rising throughout the game as their trust in Dutch was constantly tested, and slowly things fell apart. Arthur knew he was a bad man, but he wanted to do what was right for the people he cared about. He was conflicted as he came to realize his loyalty was misplaced.
Meanwhile in 1 John just spends the whole time whining "I don't have any choice"
