but i am im playing project ascension. just hit level 60 on laughing skull. trying to flesh out my build and do some open world pvp and then im starting over on elune on wildcard mode after i figured out what ability combos and talents work well together.
so far its a fun build though.
havent even used the random enchant system yet.

But the Vrykul hate humans, like hate the ever living fuck out of them. Like every vrykul was under orders to kill human infants and any caught keeping them were executed on the spot.
There is legitimately more lore for the vrykul to join the Horde, what with them worshiping "the death god" and the Horde having two of them.
Wildcard is kinda fun, gives it a rogue-like-ish feel, since you power through levels so quickly
It is pretty annoying though when you get a set of like 2 solid melee abilities and then get nothing but projectile spells

basically you get points to spend on abilites and talents from any class or talent tree.
on the wildcard server everything is completely random. however when you make your character you can reroll your starting abilties these are the only abilities that you get for certain. hever every 10 levels you get 1 reroll scroll and you get 3 from a weekly quest. beyond that you can farm fragments from other players or rares and elites that then combine into reroll scrolls.
the wildcards server is also FFA pvp. once you hit level 20 you can choose to enable roguelike mode basically. which gives you the ability to attack your own faction if you want at the cost of rep with the law. if you are negative with the law you cant enter capitals anymore and become an outlaw. and can only enter booty bay, gadgetzan and winterspring as they are the outlaw cities.
players who have ffa pvp enabled also drop some of their loot when slain. save for 3 slots than can be insured. but there is no such thing as soulbound on ascension.
yesterday i got hatemail for 3 hours straight from a guy because i killed him and looted his enchanting rod and he had to spend like 100 g to get back to the top tier rod because i refused to give it back to him.
its quite fun.

On Northrend they hated humans and pretty much everybody. But those Vrykul are either dead or under Bolvars control. Theres a faction of Vrykul on Stormheim who have more reason to join the Alliance than the Horde. Sylvanas tried to enslave the Valkyr Queen and was stopped by Genn and the Alliance Player. My hope was Blizz would use them but instead they gave people fat humans.
the subscription by default gives you access to every expansion up to BFA
so you can level up to 110 without buying anything else
brace for disappointment though, post-cataclysm wow is a very bad game designed to leech as much money off you as possible through microtransactions

its easier to play on wildcard than it is on the regular servers since no one quite has all the abilties they want. and typically level 60s will ignore you while leveling. also many people are actually bros and may give you back your shit after killing you. also the client is on the wotlk patch because theyre doing this progressive expansion thing. currently only the vanilla world is accessible though outland is in beta. id say give it a try. it is a pretty unique experience and the playerbase is behaving completely different than on retail. i just let my sub run out and im not even bothering with 8.2 when thats out.

the ones that half the playerbase buys yes but also level boosts so you don't have to spend 200hours leveling a character to try it at later levels, race changes, faction changes and name changes grossing millions every time the game releases a new allied race like the one featured in the OP, and 20$ tokens for a substantial amount of in-game gold

Project Ascension is the most fun I've had in WoW for years. I really love the diablo-like loot and the fact that nothing is soul/account bound and being able to trade almost everything. The RNG abilities are awesome, like you do the best with the hand you're dealt with and it feels really fun building a character like that. Can't wait what they do for season 4.
