Graphics are not important, aesthetics and visual language are, if you think how SwSh is fine you should go an hero. The only thing keeping pokemon afloat is the character design right now.

They would have to rework all sorts of aspects of the company if they had a drastic change in size. There's a point where simply "hire more people" is not an answer to every scope issue.

And before you say "but they have like infinite money!!!", that's still not how game development works. You can't keep increasing the scope of a project forever. There is going to be a limit in what a company can do in a given amount of time, with a given amount of resources and with a given amount of people. And no one is powerful enough to snap their fingers and just give them infinite amounts of each of those without it having repercussions elsewhere.
