I used to play quite a bit of #Reload with the PC mod that added online back in the day, wasn't particularly good or anything, but I had fun.

From the looks of it GG (newest version is Rev. 2, right?) is dead on PC?

I'm in EU, which version has the most players?

The main GGXrd Discord announced that it was dead a year ago mate. Almost no one plays this game because the last patch they did to it before abandoning the game did absolutely nothing but buff the shit out of characters who were already top tier while putting in some nonsensical nerfs and on top of that not addressing horrible, horrible match-ups whatsoever.
Funnily enough if they would have just not patched it at all the game might have lasted a bit longer but because of the slight buffs to top tiers and unintentionally letting May abuse the fuck out of YRC summons people just got really tired of the game really fast and collectively dropped it.

Elphelt's stupid shotgun pressure was nerfed to the point where she can't even chain it half as much as she used to and Faust just became a gimmick RNG character at this point.

May on the other hand has a literal 8-2 against Milia and Chipp and 7-3 against Pot and Answer. Her YRC abuse basically turned her into the ultimate counter pick against anyone who relies on aerial pressure to get what they want because the second they jump and she's not in hit-stun she can YRC ball + Dolphin + 2HS and if you weren't already blocking before she YRC'd you're garunteed to get hit into a toss-up combo that deletes half or more of your healthbar and you can't respond to it at all because YRC eats your inputs. You can pretend like her literally being a counterpick so hard against Milia that some players literally just forfeit the match before starting it isn't a problem but there are multiple videos on youtube and other places of just how retarded she can be. Sometimes she doesn't even need to be out of hit-stun. In the case of Chipp if you try to set-up your super right after you knock her down she can Super herself right before you hit her and while you WILL hit her with Chipp's super, Great Yamada is going to corner carry you and on top of the give her enough time to ball + Dolphin setup against you and suddenly Chipp is now on the defensive even though just a second ago May was on the ground.

Hell with 75% tension May can absolutely do some fucking retarded shit now like Great Yamada + Ball YRC + 3HS which is a literal unblockable mix-up and you just have to take the fucking damage. The only other character in the game that can do that is Johnny but literally everyone including Arcsys knows Johnny is straight broken in this game right now.

May not be S+ tier but she's annoying enough to a large portion of the characters to just be hated. She can just completely shit on any aerial character with ease.

Hotashi literally dropped the whole game when Rev2 came out because he couldn't cheese Pot and Sol mains anymore and went on an autistic meltdown in Twitch then just dropped off the face of the planet out of embarrassment.
If anything they need to buff Elphelt a bit because all she has now is her grenade setup and some decent corner pressure but no real way to get to that point. Just don't have her being able to abuse hitboxes like she was in Sign and she should be perfectly balanced.

Ky on the other hand....has the exact opposite problem. That guy literally has absolutely everything in his kit and isn't weak in anything other than reversals.

I don't know what to tell you man. Everything you're saying is flat out wrong. The best characters right now are Johnny Elphelt Faust Ky Venom I-no. The worst matchups belong to Axl vs I-no and Pot, both being in Axl's favor, and even then it's not as bad as you'r imaginary 8-2 May vs Millia.

No one cares about American scene in GG. Even then the only decent American player would be Lost Soul who still plays Elphelt and outright states how top the character is.

Yea so I'm just imagining all those tournaments where 90% of Milia mains just got obliterated before the 2nd pool round started and the entire channel of "Against May" in the Milia discord is just made up and isn't actually about a dozen or so people trying to figure out how to fight against her. I am hallucinating all that.
Also I never said May was absolute top tier but she is definitely near that point because of how hard she can beat out aerial pressure alone to the point where she's a literal counterpick against them. She's complete garbage against anyone with zoning or heavy on Rushdown so of course she's going to be shit against the top tiers when they all revolve around zoning or rushdown. She has no strategy against someone who is good at getting in her face or throwing things at her. God fucking help you though if you jump against her.

Stop talking about your shitty American discords. If you're going to play a character that has everything except a decent defense modifier, expect to get blown up by one of the biggest damage dealers in the game when you get outplayed.

Ky literally capable of just planting you in the corner for a solid 15 seconds without any real counterplay.
Venom being able to literally juggle people to death on a single knockdown.
Faust being an RNG gimmick character now turning him from a decent opponent to either completely a joke to beat to literally unstoppable in just a single roll.
I-no having an answer to almost everything in the game with the exception of the only character in the game that is actually properly based on Zoning.
Pot having absolutely no fucking way to get close enough to half the cast without getting tossed up.
Milia being nerfed over and over and over again to the point where she's a fucking joke against half the cast.
Baiken STILL is garbage bin-tier because they fucking refuse to give her the card mechanic back so she literally cannot punish people for attack spamming her.
Answer being a literal nobody character that does absolutely fuck-all in almost every situation.
Dizzy is still more cancer to fight against more than she was in XX because she can chain ranged attacks for like 20 god damn seconds.
Chipp having corner cross-ups is still the most retarded idea from Xrd to date so why the fuck can he still do it?

Almost every character in the game right now just has some absolute retarded thing about them that annoys anyone who plays them or plays against them. Rev2 was a fucking mistake and Rev2.2 was even worse. They haven't fixxed any of the issues that Rev2 gave them.

As of now the best version of Xrd is fucking Revelator 1.3 and that's still not as good as any version of XX.

What is that even supposed to mean? Answer's not very good, but he doesn't do nothing, and even he has his good match-ups and his effective moves. He's not good, but he's completely usable. Baiken's not bottom tier either anymore.

I play on PS4 EU most days and I can pretty much always get a game and I don't use discord or any of that. You will run into the same players over and over, but those same players play the game regularly and they keep the game populated. I'm told there's more people playing on PC, but I don't know if that's actually true or not. If you do get it, just be sure to check the player made lobbies, not ranked or the world lobbies, everybody plays in the playermade lobbies. If you want and you get it on PS4, I'll play it with you too.

It is, though I prefer GG. There's also a new UNI on the way so you might want to wait for that.

Theres not thousands of players but theres still enough people playing that you can just play whenever you want in the evening. Sometimes no lobby shows up but usually thats when theres a few full ones and if you refresh a few times it will appear with a space
