why do they cancel the good spinoffs but give Mega Meme another main series title nobody likes
there were 3 star forces???
Play 1 and 3, YouTube 2
Why do you keep reposting this? The premise sounds fucking dumb I'm glad they cancelled it. SF3 was the perfect send-off.
why are those boys making sexy poses in a back alley? are they prostitutes?
>we were saved from a 4th shit game
Based
This is the first time I've posted this, are you really that stupid to think there is one Star Force fan?
>The premise sounds dumb
>More mature story with emphasis on greyed morality
>Ties into Battle Network and could have explained in depth what happened to Navi's
I agree that SF3 was a good sendoff for the series, but they could have done more with it. Especially since SF3 was really where they started to get the formula down, gameplay wise.
>But Geo being an outlaw hacker sounds retarded!
We don't even know the specifics of why things played out like that. For all we know it could have easily been:
>Main antagonist has ties, or a direct connection with the government/Satella Police
>Frames Geo/Kazuma and puts a warrant on them, because they possess knowledge that said antagonist doesn't want revealed to the public
It's simple shit, really. What makes it worse is that the game was halfway through development, before getting shelved.
The only "bad" game in the SF trilogy, was truthfully SF2. The overall game was just too clunky.
>Wave World was a little too archaic to explore
>Random encounters out of the ass to make things worse
>Gameplay wasn't much of an improvement from the first installment
>The transition in themes from Space, to Ancient Civilization was jarring, although it could have been executed better
SF2 was just overall, meh. SF1 was a good start, and SF3 is easily the best of the three.
>halfway through development
like other decisions at capcom at the time
those were shitty times at capcom
To be fair, halfway through development of a Star Force game would have probably been like 5 months of dev time, not much.
I will never forget this moment. As I lie on my death bed without memory of my friends or family, my final words will be "Super fighting robot, MEGA MAN"
>Megaman ZX3 cliffhanger
>No playable Prometheus, or Pandora
>Megaman Legends 3 cliffhanger
>Volnutt still in Space
>Megaman Starforce 4
>Series actually had a nice conclusion, but the 4th title was halfway complete in terms of development, and had an interesting premise
Capcom struggling at that point in time, and the DS era of Megaman selling poorly didn't really help either. They're in a better position now, but I still can't see them reviving anything outside of Classic, and X.
On the topic of SF4, I'm curious to see how things would have played out.
>How Geo interacts with people now that his family is back together
>How his family, and friends react to Geo being an outlaw, including their family name likely being tarnished
>What Solo's role would have been like, possible character development for him
>To what extent would they further connect the BN, and SF universe with Kazuma being a descendant of the Hikari family
>How Hacking would have functioned as a gameplay mechanic
It would have probably been an interesting game. I wonder how the people who were connected to the Satella Police, like Ace, would have reacted? Shit man.
SF games did release quite frequently. I think the gap between titles was relatively short.
>but I still can't see them reviving anything outside of Classic, and X.
Even if they don't revive the series I would love to see them do a compilation of BN or SF. Obviously some things would need to be changed in SF to accommodate not having a bottom screen but BN could get the same treatment the Legacy Collections got except with all the Boktai and toy content available.
They also released multiple versions. Capcom really should have reigned themselves in and just made one version instead of two or even three at times.
If Mega Man as a brand can be firmly revived and see success/profit, I think returning to Legends 3 is just a matter of time. Star Force and ZX are dead in the water though, there's no demand for them in comparison to Legends, which itself only has a niche fanbase.
we could've seen Pirate Megaman in SF4
don't post some tuber faggot's video. post the original article he made a soap opera episode out of

>SF1 was the introduction
>SF2 was about Ancient Civilization
>SF3 concluded things nicely
>SF4 seemingly went back to the roots of Battle Network by introducing a Hikari descendant
Assuming SF5 & 6 would have eventually been made, I wonder what they would have done? I imagine Duo returning may have happened at some point, since he did hint towards it. Perhaps for SF6, Geo and Omega might have traveled to Planet A.M, since Cepheus asked them to visit one day. Ah, I'm sad.
Although it's the truth, this is still pretty sad. Wasn't Legends 3 actually in development at some point for 3DS? I remember seeing quite a bit of footage of the game, until the project was eventually cut off completely. Did we even get information on what cancelled Nintendo game was being revived?
No, there's nothing concrete about that revival rumour yet. Somebody said Scalebound, but it wasn't the person who originally said Nintendo was reviving something. I'd be surprised if it was Legends 3 though.
>Compilation of BN or SF
This has a good chance of happening, honestly. If they do well enough, SF might just get revived. Capcom is in a better position with their franchises nowadays too, so anything is possible. I wouldn't get my hopes up, though.
Trust me, I've been hoping for all the 3DS era and it didn't happen, it's just a fool's hope more than anything. They do seem to be using the Legacy Collections as a litmus test for popularity though.
I'd probably be more upset about this if the series ended on a cliffhanger. I'm pretty pleased with how Starforce ended, though. Anything extra would have been amazing, but I'm not stressing over things that didn't come to pass. For what it's worth, the premise sounds great. If this series were to ever return, I doubt it'd be the same.
>no new megaman games on 3DS from capcom
at least megaman is in a somewhat better place compared to those times
Yes.
If nothing else we need to get some art out of this.
