3D Zelda games feel like a chore to me for some reason.
When I'm in a dungeon I can't wait to get out, when I'm not in a dungeon I feel like I'm going through padding and I can't wait to go to the dungeon.

OOT was revolutionary for Zelda, BotW is just some empty, shitty game that could be reskinned to something different and it would get 6/10's.
But the Zelda skin on it makes the reviewers cream their pants.

I've never actually played Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask. I've tried the other 3d Zeldas, even bought BotW for Wii U but don't really like any of them. Minish Cap and Link's Awakening are the only 2 Zelda games I've beaten and I liked them both.

Yeah dude ocarina's storyline is amazing and probably the best in all of gaming. I love the 10 minute unskippable cut scene about some godesses that has practically no bearing on the actual plot, which is just a generic nintendo plot that exists solely to give an explanation why you're playing.

OoT is the only game where every single moment is memorable & iconic as fuck, there literally isn’t a single game that even compares. That’s why it’s storyline is unrivaled, nobody will ever forget entering the lost woods, reaching hyrule field, sneaking into Hyrule castle, traveling through time, encountering Ganon for the first time, entering the temple of time, you get my point i could go on for hours. And I haven’t even played OOT in nearly 10 years but i still remember the entire game. It’s the single most iconic & memorable game of all time.

There's a reason every gurl gamer is obsessed with zelda, they're some of the most handholdy games that exist.The puzzles amount to using the new item you got on the door/switch that is practically labeled with the item you need to use and then the game plays the little jingle telling you what a super smart gamer you are. You fight some enemies that pose basically no threat, use your new item on the boss, then you beat the dungeon and the NPCs dump some story on you and tell you where to go for the next one like you're a toddler.

Definitely top 10 for the soundtrack/incorporation of music into the story and gameplay. Zelda has always had great music but the N64 games have stood out for me, and I think it's due to the lack of a full orchestra making the melodies really need to hold their own.

As far as the actual gameplay, I don't mind it but it's a bit too simplistic for me.
I'd rather replay the 2d capcom Zeldas over any of the 3d games.

I unironically think zelda 2 has the best gameplay of the series despite the nintendo-power overworld progression requirement
