Yes, remember they're releasing it on current gen consoles. So 1070 is more than enough to push 60 at 1080p with a mix of high/ultra settings in any game, unless it's some unoptimized shit akin to what ubisoft releases.

The thing is, Intel has an image that's worth more than any actual product improvements.
People have faith in them, much like they do in Apple.
There are still a lot of people who didn't realize Ryzen is good for gaming, I've even see people say they "don't trust" AMD.
It's not logical but it's based on years of Intel dominating and doing some high tier marketing.

The question is will this faith waver before Intel actually manages to improve their offerings significantly.

It has higher niggerhurtz but applications are making more use of higher core counts now than they used to.
A lot of benchmarks show Intel chips with slightly higher averages, but the lows on Intel are often more dramatic leading to a less smooth experience.

Also yes, with the latest IPC improvements the newer Ryzen 3000 products actually go toe-to-toe with Intel's newer chips.
AMD is making consistant strides with each gen while Intel is still dragging their feet.
Intel will either have to make better changes (benefiting everyone with real competition) or they'll be left in the dust.

Intel is the primary beneficiary of emulation but even there it's not that bad for AMD anymore.
RPSCS3 got updated to use more cores and utilize more optimizations for AMD's scheduler.
Cemu is still better on Intel but not unplayable on AMD either.

RTX is a meme, unless you're willing to spend money on 2080ti don't even bother as you won't get playable framerates with RTX ON.

2060 has the cores to run raytracing with hardware.
Raytracing still hits the framerate, hard.
Especially hard on the 2060 which has less of these cores.
Raytracing isn't just some seperate process that doesn't effect your performance, it's going to hit your averages and max fps.
