Or is every DMC plot going to be "MUH VIRGIL" over and over again?
They ever going to bring this mofo back?
KEKOLDING KEKOLDING KEKOLDING
final boss fight against vergil is better than final boss fight against giant monster man even if it's played out story wise
Mundus lost ridiculously hard to dante when he was at his WEAKEST, and villain after villain who are lightyears more powerful than him have been introduced.
This is like asking if emperor pillaf will return as a villain after Goku fights Freeza.
Mundus was so bad that unironically DmC Mundus was better.
>villain after villain who are lightyears more powerful than him
The only one that is more powerful than him is Vergil and his demon half. Argosax, Arkham, the Savior and everyone else can't hold a candle to Mundus still.
Arkham had Sparda's power and Sparda > Mundus.
Ergo, Arkham was stronger than Mundus.
scuck
Why would Vergil be the main villain if he and Dante reconciled at the end of 5? You're doomsaying for absolutely nothing
>over and over again
You're acting like Vergil is the big bad in every DMC game. I don't know why people say this, he was in three but only 2 out of 5 was he the main villain/end boss. Not counting DmC.
I don't even like him that much I just find it weird that people go "ugh Vergil aGAiN?"
If Vergil is so powerful, why does he only job?
>Argosax
Argosax is stronger than Mundus though
Arkham couldn't control Sparda's power. Force Edge also didn't have literally all of Sparda's power, which was also inside Rebellion and Yamato.
No
>Ergo, Arkham was stronger than Mundus.
You're completely forgetting that Arkham wasn't able to properly control Sparda's power or put it to real use, that was the whole point. If (somehow) blob Sparda-powered Arkham fought the real Sparda, he'd probably lose.
Because he has to fight Dante and muh humanity.
>tfw your uncle had to get stabbed to unlock his dt, your dad had to eat a nasty fruit, and you just had to JYB shout even further beyond
based nero chad
>Dante killed Argosax like it was nothing with a smirk on his face
Just how strong is Dante at this point anyways?
Since when?
>your dad had to eat a nasty fruit
Vergil had his DT before that though, and Dante didn't care about his demonic half that he didn't get his DT till the events of 3 where he is Awakend to justice and accepts who he is
Nero's dead weight is so great that he opened up a rip in the space time continuum like a black hole to unlock his power.
Still wish they'd just declared 2 and its "Riding into hell on a motorcycle" ending non-canon.
>Vergil had his DT before that
It wasn't his Sin DT.
(tl note: Sin means True)
Argosax was weakened by absorbing a screaming gay Japanese man first. Its like cell absorbing Yamcha.
Nero didn't get his Sin DT either....
Yeah, cuz he's a foolish dead weight.
It will happen in 6 when Kyrie is harmed and Nero goes AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
And SIN DT form unlocked.
Mundus was a shit villain and has zero defining traits besides "likes to look like God" and "Killed dante's mom".
They used him in DMC with the whole god complex turned up, and he was shit, we don't need a repeat of that. Fuck, the villain of 4 did a better job of the "Wants to be God" than Mundus did.
>Still wish they'd just declared 2 and its "Riding into hell on a motorcycle" ending non-canon.
Why? He even gets out of hell in the end of Lucia's campaign
Nah, Nero will unlock his Sin DT by dying and having Vergil cry, then use Yamato to revive him.
mainly because 2 and its plot were shit.
Mundus also has a thing for creating demons.
How are they going to get out of hell THIS time?
How they get out of hell will be shown in the DLC.
That'll just be a revisit of DMC4 when he died and unlocked DT lol
>Arkham wanted to become a God
>Sanctus wanted his God to exist and be worshipped
>Mundus is a Demon that believes he is a God and has angels on his side and had a relationship with Sparda
I don't know man, Mundus sounds like an interesting demon to me, wonder what he's up to now
Well yeah, but this time for good. It's more a Vergil character moment than a Nero one, showing that his son is more precious to him than power. That's a good way to show he's changed for good.
>wonder what he's up to now
Fucking Trish clones.
>That's a good way to show he's changed for good
They literally showed that 2 mins after he returns in 5.
TGS is coming and you still haven't answered, Yea Forums.
Not really. He has yet to do anything that isn't fixing his own mess.
Still Vergil.
>comes back
>not interested in fighting
>only defends against Dante has no desire to engage
>decides to settle it out of resposibility
Then we have Vergil actually thanking someone. All of that is worlds apart from the Vergil in 3.
Are there any indepth character/ability deep dives from Capcom or otherwise available anywhere? I want to know more about these shits.
I'm not denying he's changed. I'm just saying he hasn't redeemed himself.
And that I want more Vergil.
Can I pick playable Vergil and co-op bloody palace instead?
If not I gotta go for playable Vergill
I don't think a man responsible for as much destruction as he can ever redeem himself properly but at the very least he's finally become a protagonist alongside Dante and Nero and that's enough for me.
>protagonist
>not playable
kek
The whole point of DMC5 was setting him up for that role and you're beyond retarded if you think a Special Edition won't happen next gen so Capcom can milk more sales.
No one said anything of the sort, and you're retarded to think that is the direction. Having 3 overpowered characters take on a new threat. Are you serious bro? Unless you bought to bring in jesus himself for them to take on, having 3 sparda characters super god saiyan mode against one villain will more than likely result in the most bullshit writing known to man. You better fucking nerf a bitch or split some niggas up between worlds otherwise it makes no sense.
how long until the next gen again?
>tfw dmc5se on ps5 won't have loading screens
>Jesus
dude, all he'd do would be get stabbed to death and then res 3 days later. Unless its Japanese Jesus.
youtube.com
2020 apparently so you can expect Capcom to announce something late next year, perhaps some time in the year after that.
>having 3 sparda characters super god saiyan mode against one villain
This, We need 5 main antagonists or some shit or at least 3, that would pose as a threat, like the children of Mundus or some shit
That'll make it hype as shit with every boss fight feels like a rival for the three Sparda's
If things could've gona different, I would solved this by making Vergil not the antagonist
Since Bayonetta takes place in the same universe, we know that God is an evil asshole and that angels are all evil.
Obviously they need God to invade.
5 was the only one with muh vergil faget.
How that even work?
>Since Bayonetta takes place in the same universe
It doesn't, or at least it isn't confirmed to be yet, according to Kamiya cannon Dante named himself Redgrave because of a journalist he admired who is Luka's father, in DMC5 it seems to imply that he named himself Redgrave after the city he grew up in
And angels in DMC are yet to be confirmed in
>Having 3 overpowered characters take on a new threat. Are you serious bro?
You say this about a series where Dante can basically solo anyone before 5 and after 5 he's untouchable to all but family.
Who is to say Luka's dad was so cool they named a city after him?
> 3 sparda characters super god saiyan mode against one villain
Make it a sol adventure and you won't have that problem.
Or maybe Luka's dad's name is after the city he is from?
But personally I would prefer if they kept away from the God plot and focused more on demon gods instead, it's what makes DMC what it is for me
Some crazy ass summoner who was buying all of Dante's devil arms(with a bunch of new demons Dante must've gotten in-between games so it's not a total rehash) extracted the demons from them and enhanced them with human SOUL or some fuck to make em extra spicy and now wants to fuck shit up. Featuring Agni and Rudra on steroids. Also for different locales and what not.
>tfw King Cerb ends my first ever BP run
D-did I do well guys?
Also this warm-up function is a godsend.
"GOD is evil!" is a cliche plotline by Fedora tier tards anyways. The first couple of times it was done it was novel, but its been done to death so many goddamned times that its reached Coldsteel the hedgehog tier edgelord status.
Besides, we already have Doom doing the "Evil heaven" route.
>Mundus sounds like an interesting demon to me, wonder what he's up to now
making a clone of bui
Well enough.
BP is pretty easy this time around though don't be too disappointed when you beat it next attempt
Will they ever get to meet?
Dorito pope is doing a preview stream for gamescon, Im hoping we get a glimpse of something if they are really working on dlc.
Only hope is smash
God I hope not. Last thing I want is a crossover as I just don't like Bayo despite trying and I certainly don't want her gameplay infecting DMC.
Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't DMC5 supposed to be the definitive end?
I would make it so it was Arkham, he stole Vergil's power, and Vergil is more interested in fixing the mess he did using his power.
>smash
you mean worst nightmare
The worst part is that neither the West nor the East really understand the "God is Evil" plot. You see, it was Go Nagai that introduced it into the collective unconscious in Maoh Dante. In his manga Nagai was drawing from Gnosticism in which the god of the Old Testament was the demiurge that created this material world, which was a trap for the human soul that belonged in the same realm as that of the God of the New Testament; the "God is Evil" plot is actually an interpretation on why God is presented so differently in each book. It's a critique on the God of the OT, not a rip on Christianity! Of course the Japanese authors take it just like that and don't really appreciate the nuance of the idea; while the Western ones think this critiques authoritarianism and supports atheism, without understanding what it is about, and that "God is Evil" is a contradiction without a transcendental element which refutes the demiurge.
Cell absorbing Yamcha would be fine because cell only absorbs the ki. You're thinking of buu.
There's no indication it is and capcom already said they're interested in continuing the series.
Huh, well shit I won't complain.
At most it's the end of Itsuno's involvement with the series.
Post yfw Vergil dies in DMC6 and can't be brought back.
Wrong. Itsuno has said he wants to take a break for a while to make other games with Rival Schools and DD2 at the top of his list but will return for DMC6.
There's literally more chance of Nero replacing Mundus as the antagonist of DMC. DMC5's entire plot was about bringing Vergil back and bringing him back better and stronger than ever.
More recently he also said he doesn't know how many years he's going to keep making game. If 5 really is a success I doubt they'll wait, what, 6 or 7 years before Itsuno is done with his other projects to make DMC6.
>mfw Nero finds out Kyrie is a demon
>brought back in 5
>ends up dying before he could be an mc or playable
pls no
He did also mention in the same interview that he would be fine with other people taking over the series doing side games and shit in his absence so if Capcom do plan on striking then we'll probably see Vergil get a solo game or DMC1 and 2 remake or some shit.
Nero findshis mom
When are they going to make DMC 2?
When pigs fly.
Considering DMC5 made DmC's lifetime sales in a single week, never.
Vergil's entrance was freaking cool, ureasons illusion shattering and falling all around him and then him turning around. It's one of the coolest scenes in the game. I remember everyone here freaking out over that scene when the guy was streaming the game.
I mean, they'd be fools to sit on it and not reuse the assets they have right now. They could easily make spin-off games about Vergil and Trish/Lady but with a different director yet produced by Matt Walker. It would sell and no one would complain about no Nero or no Dante if it comes out fast enough.
DMC's sales were still very good and respectable for a videogame. It just needs a chance. He got in the playstation all stars game.
NiaMY
>were still very good and respectable for a videogame
Capcom expected 10mil out of it, they didn't even break 2.
still more than paid for the game.
>DMC 2
But they already made a dmc 2, it turned out terrible just like certain reboot I'm sure you're familiar with.
How did sub 2 mil pay for a game that had expected revenue of 10 mil? a game that wasn't developed in house, had to keep flying Itsuno over to fix it, and even got extensive rewrites.
Vergil can teleport, dumbass
You know what i mean.
>video response to you
youtube.com
left
That makes no sense. He just runs really fast, Pat.
I don't follow eceleb cancer sorry
Teleportation is spatial travel, not neccessarily dimensional travel.
I wonder if Kyrie finds Nero’s devil trigger scary or attractive?
>He got in the playstation all stars game
You act like that's some remarkable achievement lel.
>t.Professor Autism
I still can’t this guy got some ass and even produced a decent looking daughter
This is a women who, in canon, has tried to get freaky with Nero's demon arm (going by the description of the Sweet Surrender) so she probably got instantly wet at the thought of being corrupted by devil dick.
It's the stuttering.
Guys, listen to me.
What if Vergil's new gauntlet arm is a claw weapon that pairs of with Balrog, and its name is Vega

Next devil may cry needs to star the soldier guy.
Actually, Vergil is the one that uses the same frame as the playable characters.
I would have loved a bonus level starring Crewcut that played like RE2make
Don't do this to yourself user.
Rules without exceptions last eternally.
dmc fps spinoff featuring crewcut
That's just a fact.
This would actually be a fun game, RE but with Demons instead of zombies so there's more shit they can pull out since they can just go "MAGIC" to explain it.
I don't know who could think assigning Balrog's mode change to just the back input would be a good idea, it's so easy to misfire when the camera is far away and it changes the whole weapon. I wish it had been a back-forward input instead, and the back input were instead used on draw-straight and flint wheel so blow and kick mode could get one more move, which they really needed.
